I was strolling through the park one day~ Teagan: -she had decided she would venture about the outside of the shop. Daddy was off doing his own thing again, and she was feeling a little bored... even for someone that was laid back as she was. Settling on a stroll, she set off, toting a little basket with her for something to put little things she found interesting in-Koroko: *High energy and sitting around doesn't mix so she had found herself kicked out of her own home by her housemates... not that she minded terribly, it was an excuse to go wandering around. She hummed a light tune as she followed a path around a grassy hill. It was pretty obvious she didn't really know where she was going* It's so QUIET here! Where is everybody? *She paused at looked around, wiggling her heart shaped nose like a rabbit* Teagan: -lost in her own thoughts as she wandered, all smiles and giggles as she started plucking up little treasures from the ground and placing them in her basket. The moment she heard someone shouting though, she jumped, completely startled, her new little treasures bouncing up out of her basket at her jolting it about! It sounded like whoever it was, wasn't too far away, and yet, as she looked around for them, she couldn't find them- H... hello? -she said in a timid attempt at a shout... it didn't come out so much as one, though-Koroko: *If it hadn't been for her bat-like hearing, Koroko wouldn't have heard Teagan speak at all. As it was she only heard her voice and not the words behind them* What was that? *Koroko rounds the hill and spies Teagan for the first time* Oh, hello! Didn't see you there! *Gives Teagan a huge grin* Teagan: -as she realized her voice had been too soft to really be heard, she almost thought about calling out again. It was rare for her to really talk to many others, and she was finding herself a bit curious about whoever it was. Still a little shaken from being startled so, she sat down for a moment, working to gather up her little goodies into her basket once more, only to be surprised that big ol hello! With a squeak, her eyes shot up again, and she slowly cocked her head to the side, slightly shocked by the sight of the other- ... Hello?.... -slowly a smile crosses her face as she gets excited by someone else being around-Koroko: *Giggles and tilts her head to the same side, mimicking Teagan, before letting out a quiet gasp* Oh! Did I startle you? I'm so so sorry! *Looks around quickly, noticing how Teagan was sitting, and spotting a couple of miscellaneous things scattered around. Her eyes finally find Teagan's basket, where the things were probably supposed to be* Do you need some help? *Doesn't wait for Teagan to reply before stepping forward* It's the least I can do! Um, unless you want me to go away because I can go away like my roommates always tell me to do and oops now I'm talking too much! *She clasps her paws over her own mouth but doesn't quiet stop talking, so muffled speech can be heard* Teagan: -she flicked her ears up as the other copied her cocking her head to the side. Hopefully they weren't going to play the copy cat game... That could get annoying. And somehow the thought made her giggle some. She shook her head no at her question, but then gave a sheepish smile and nodded yes- Just a little bit, but it's okay~ I wasn't expecting anyone to be around. -at the asked question for help, well she didn't get much a chance to try and reply, but the moment that the other female thought she might tell her to go away, her eyes widened and her head shook- No no no! You don't have to go away~ I don't mind if you talk a lot. My Daddy talks a lot, and a lot about nonsensical things. I'm used to talking~ -she gave a smile, and giggling, she reached out to gently try and pull the paws away from the other's mouth- I'm TeaganKoroko: *Lowers her paws at the touch to reveal a blush, along with a smile. She felt comforted by the other's words. Teagan's giggling was also contagious so Koroko giggled too* Oh yay! Nice to meet you Teagan, I'm Koroko! Uh, did I say that already? *Looks puzzled briefly, before the smile returns to her face* To be honest I'm not completely sure where we are! So I wasn't expecting anyone either. Not that running into you was a bad thing, oh no! *She laughs cheerfully, her smile reaching her bright eyes, then gestures towards the basket* Um, may I ask what you were doing with this stuff? Teagan: -smiling even more as the other female lowers her paws, she gives a soft giggle at the sight of her blushing- Koroko? That's different from other names I've heard. I like saying it~ And noooo? I don't think you had. -she paused for a moment, thinking and hoping that she hadn't been so rude as to miss a name, before just shaking her head as she places something that she picked up in her basket- Oh! Are you lost then? -slowly her face gave a slightly sad and worried expression, but it didn't last but a few moments as Koroko didn't seemed to bothered by the thought- Oh... Ummm... They really weren't for anything in particular. I just like to gather up random things I find while I'm out and about sometimes. Is that weird? I don't usually know what is or isn't... not with my daddy. -Reaching up, she scratched her cheek lightly, blushing some-Koroko: My name means uhh... err... *Almost strains to think of it, she is so determined to answer Teagan's question* It means 'heart'! But not like the one in your chest. Like... having a lot of heart? Having a lot of love to give, that's it. *She grins, then pokes herself in the nose* I think I was named for this! *She noticed Teagan's expression had darkened for a moment* No, I'm not lost, I'm here because... I'm here! *She said extra enthusiastically, to make sure any worries Teagan had were completely gone* And I don't think collecting things is weird. Lots of people collect things... I should tell you about this one girl I know. Funny fins, she has. Anyways, she has so much stuff... *Some of Koroko's story is cut off as she turned to peer at some of the objects on the ground* ... And that's why she isn't allowed to have grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner anymore. *Koroko nodded in affirmation, then suddenly got a fresh look of excitement on her face* Hey! I could help you figure out this stuff if you like? Unless you rather have your daddy look at it. Teagan: -watching, most intrigued by the way her new friend -- or at least she hoped new friend -- was seemingly having a difficult time there for a few moments, her ears perked at the answer- "Heart"? Oh! I like that... I like that a lot~ -she couldn't help a giggle as Koroko poked her nose, trying so hard to resist doing the same. The quick reaction from Koroko to the flickering worry from her, on top of the overly excitable way she tried to make the worry go away just made her smile all the more as she adjusted her little basket of random goodies. Almost opening her mouth to say something about it, she closed it, solely focused on the fluffy bat as she began to start telling what she thought was going to be a story. She did so enjoy them and read to her father all the time. Though... the sudden ending made her slightly confused, scrunching her brow before just giggling at it- I... Oh? Ummm... No no~ I think it would be fun if you could help me figure something out to do with this stuff... Daddy doesn't do much with it -giving a nod and a bright smile, she set the basket down, peering in at the things she picked up that weren't much. Just some different colored flowers, a couple smooth rocks, a pretty leaf, and something that she just wasn't sure what it was- Hmmm... -pointing to the mystery object- What do you think that is? I haven't a clue. Koroko: *She stops in her tracks and blinks for a moment, wondering if she was going overboard as usual, then shrugs absentmindedly. If she was, she figured that Teagan would have said something to her already. Like everyone else tended to do. Calming down gave her a moment to think about what Teagan just said, and she beamed. It felt really good to be included in something!* Okay, if you're sure! It must be nice to have a daddy to spend time with, isn't it? *She giggled again, picking up one of the smooth rocks to feel the rounded edge briefly, before prancing over to the object that Teagan pointed out* Oh, that's different... *She picked it up and turned it over in her paws, even touching it softly with her nose for a moment* Um... it's made of metal... what's something like this doing out here? Then there's this comb thingy... *She plucked at it, and it made a ting sound* Oh! It's like... something out of a music box! Teagan: -it was strange seeing someone go from hyper to calm, but it was also pretty amusing. With a flit of her wings, Teagan's smile just widened even more than it had before. She gave a nod in reply, so grateful to have a wonderful daddy like she did... even if he wasn't quite able to be a responsible type of daddy. "Oh yes~ He's.. not your normal kind of daddy, I suppose, but he's fun and loves me <3" But even though she could have gone on more about him, her attentions were on the way her new friend seemed to look at all the little things that were in her basket, especially the mysterious object. The chime of music from the small box made her eyes goes wide with excitement over such a fun find! "Really?! Oh I love music~ Does it work?" Eyes widening all the more, she inched a little closer to her new friend, curious and hopeful that the treasure would work.
