I want it. But I have to play the second one first.
There's really no connection to Rapture, aside from some bonus stuff. Nothing you'd have to play the previous games for, anyways. Bioshock and Bioshock 2 are definitely on my to-play list now, though.

It was sooooooo good. The environments are beautiful like whoa and the story is really good. It's also super short and super easy, so... biggrin

Holy mother balls so many biblical references when they're not even being blatant. I was playing with Nick and Zach and I kept having to explain the details.
Like when you go to Columbia, I knew the player was the Dark Shepherd before they mentioned anything about the tattoo because the sky ripped open and there was a huge blaring of trumpets before they sent you up. I was like, "s**t GAIS JESUS IS COMING"
AND THEN THEY LAUGHED
but then I was all like nono you're the dark shepherd! I had to go on about how the Good Shepherd is like a name for Jesus blah blah blah. Whatever, they totally don't appreciate it in the same way. It's just really clever in the way everything is presented, you know?
We only played for like 2-3 hours so we haven't even gotten to the chick yet and it's just LOADED. That said, holy crap do they get pissed off when they see your tattoo. I was like "oh s**t just got real and they aren't even zombies."
Anyway, I get that the BioShock series is a bit inclined to use biblical symbolism but the other two games weren't loaded like this one is.
Looking forward to playing some more.

And you're JUST AT THE BEGINNING. Do you like the Lutece twins? I totally love them. Their dialogue as they row you to the lighthouse was hilarious
and, in hindsight, so ******** loaded omg. He doesn't row indeed.

I told Nick to because it was his turn. I honestly don't think he did. Someone grabbed my arm and noticed my tattoo and then all hell broke loose. I think the result would probably be the same either way, no?
