As the semester closes and another one is soon to creep up on me, I really need a place to vent. I'm sure I'm not the only person with way too much on their plate. School is often too much, plus problems with family and looking for a job, needing to buy my own car, and tuition. Oh goodness, tuition... And the myriad of other problems I've got going on sometimes bury me.
Having other people to talk to really does help though. Only a couple of my close friends know just how crappy I feel at times. Even if you're not comfortable with sharing the big stuff though, even the small stuff can lift a lot of weight off your shoulders.
It's a thread for those of us feeling really down and depressed, or just have something small nagging at you. If you just need a place to vent, or want to have an in-depth discussion about a crisis.
We're all here for each other in this big Durem family and I just want everyone to know that there are shoulders to cry on and voices that offer comfort.

Anyone else currently having working code suddenly break for no valid reason? I've been fixing code doing this for days now, and sometimes i can find the reason but this time stressed not so much. So between my development software crashing when i was trying to save earlier and now this scream Really, if anyone here knows C# and linq to sql... maybe i'll go see what the C & T forums know...
Feels a bit better to rant about it... i just want this code to stop breaking for stupid reasons, like just to annoy me...
(Which i seriously debated on posting this... just typing it out helped some.)
Edit: And... code problem is solved... finally. I feel kinda like an idiot for not finding it sooner... This error is just really really hard to track down...

With how some people act these days with the bullying and all that and not to mention stress from school, finals around the corner and the nerve of total random people you would have thought a high school student would have enough stress and worry to write a novel or two about it but no. Things don't stop once you get out of school for the day so you can finally relax and enjoy being a kid/teenager, you have your parents.
Lately my mom and step dad have been fighting non stop. That's not even the beginning of it, because of the stress at home it follows me to school and therefore I won't do my best in classes. I'm already failing two classes. One of them I can make up next year and plan to but the other one (American History) I can't. I'm not failing really bad, hell I thought I was doing worse haha, but my mother treats it like a big deal and even threatens to take away the internet all Summer. Like really? I tried to explain to her that this has absolutely nothing to do with the internet but she doesn't listen. She doesn't know how to punish her kids (me and my sister)
But anyway, I'm sure she'll forget all about it over one night of either flipping out with my step dad or a glass full of vodka. Anybody else have this same problem? (Most of the people I know from the guild are in college or are out of school haha)

Listen, I know how you are feeling right about now. I haven't had the best of luck with people from school, and lies got me kicked out of school. So I know how it feels going into school and being scared because you don't know who has planned a surprise for you today. At least you are still in school and don't have expulsion and bullying looming over you shoulder.
As for going home, well my parents fought non-stop for fifteen years, at least. My father drinks too much beer and my Mom gave up on him when I was little. He stopped raising me at the age of nine. So, being five, awake, and hearing your parents screaming at eachother, being a senior in high school, and screaming at your father for killing you with his smoking habits, and not being a top noch student, I know how you feel there as well.
So, my advice to you is to be youself. Because, I have always found that knowing who I am helps me even when the people I go to are missing. I hope things become easier.

Omg people are actually using this lol yay.
But uh... I had like the biggest panic attack ever because of college right now. I got an e-mail from my school saying I need to start paying back my loans. But I'm still in school so like it was an obvious mistake. Thank goodness I got ahold of an adviser and they said not to worry about it. Anxiety + sudden bad news always make me feel like I gotta puke though.
College was so fun first semester but gradually got worse. Sometimes I regret even starting because it's constant stress. Being in a massive amount of debt at such a young age with little to show for it is wearing me down, man.

It'll be okay Grim! you can survive! And i know all about that student debt. I'm currently paying mine back now. Though i do feel, that while i did end up with a ton of debt, i don't regret going to school where i did. Hopefully it'll be the same way for you. ^^ emotion_hug You are alone.
