Guild Rules (Rough Draft)
1) Be friendly and courteous to all other members. Remember, we are all here to have fun.
2) Respect the Crew. Falls in with number 1, but just felt it was necessary to make a distinction.
3) When Roleplaying: No Godmodding (Creating random powers/ deus ex machina, etc.), No Meta-gaming (Having your character know something they could not have possibly known.) Always remember, good stories are about protagonists overcoming the challenges before them using the skills they know and the resources available to them at the time. (Doctor Who excluded. I love that show, but it is full of deus ex machina)
4) If Roleplaying as multiple characters at a time, limit the amount of main characters (A character that you plan to keep around for longer than a few posts, whether it be a villain for a storyline, or a sibling/rival for your main character to have in their entire life) to 4 per account (You can always create a second or third avatar, it is a free site), and please have them speak in separate, dark and distinguishable colors. The best colors for secondary characters are
Dark Red Brown Dark Blue Indigo.
Red Green Olive and
Blue are also good, but should be used less frequently, as they can cause some eye strain with the white background of the site. Do not use
Yellow OrangeCyan or
Violet unless absolutely necessary and even then sparingly, like for a secondary character that is not prevalent.
5) When it comes to multiple characters,
DO NOT KILL OFF CHARACTERS THAT DO NOT BELONG TO YOU UNLESS AGREED UPON BY THE OWNER OF SAID CHARACTER OR COMPLETELY ORGANIC TO THE STORYLINE. Sorry to be so bold about it, but we have had large issues in the past with players killing off other player's main characters because they were merely an inconvenience for the killing player. They were not killed off for dramatic purposes or anything organic to the storyline, they were simply "annoying". This is not acceptable, as some players work hard to create their alternate characters, and it is also considered Godmodding.
((Crew- Add/modify any rules you want. Remember to try to explain why we are establishing rules, even though most should be common sense.))
