This forced the people of Earth to move to and colonize a new planet. When they left, they could take nothing but their minds, which forced them to start completely from scratch. Now, hundreds of years later, they have rebuilt a good portion of their civilization. Apodis also has natives, who have mostly found a way to coexist with them by now. Many colonists had also decided to abandon the main colonies and live by the rules of the people already living on Apodis; The Forest people, the Desert people, the Islanders, etc. Join the Apodisian civilization as they work together and make this land into something far greater than even Earth could be!

╠╤═╗ⓜⓐⓟ ⓞⓕ ⓣⓗⓔ ⓦⓞⓡⓛⓓ╚╩╪╣ This is a map of the different regions of your world.  ISLAND REGION: The Island Region of Apodis is inhabited by a carefree and innovative peoples. Their work involves gathering coconuts, bananas, and various other fruits, and also fishing. They have a small port on the southern end of the Island from which they send and receive small ships of foods and spices that they trade with the mainland. Their main city, Situla, is located in the center of the Island, well hidden within the Island jungles. The people of Situla are very isolationist, aside from the few goods they trade with the mainland. They rely on themselves to keep their world running, and live off of the resources they find on their Island. Many people from the outside world are convinced they live like savages, though they have built a very sustainable way of life for themselves.  ARCTIC REGION: The Arctic Region of Apodis is pure ice, with natural caverns carved deep into it. It is a barren wasteland, where the further inland Eskimo-like indigenous peoples of the Tundra travel to the edges of the great ice shelves to hunt whale and the large ice bears of the Arctic. Generally they let alone the little birds that slide on the ice. They use the ice caverns to get as close to the sea as possible. Many have openings that let out close to the surface of the freezing waters.  TUNDRA REGION: The Tundra Region of Apodis is inland of the Arctic Region. It connects to the ice, but is solid land. It is windswept and harsh, but live-able, compared to the icy shelves separating it from the frozen seas beyond. Here, the Eskimo-like peoples of Menkent have built their self-sustaining lives. They hunt snow fox, and the wooly snow bison of the Tundra, and some fearless hunters venture far into the arctic to bring back whale and ice bear for the rest of the village. They gather nuts and berries that have managed to evolve to survive in the windy, freezing conditions.  DESERT REGION: The Desert Region of Apodis connects to the ocean in a beautifully mystifying drop. Many have traveled far across the mainland to see this spectacle of desert-meeting-sea. The desert-dwellers are welcoming to those who make it as far as their city. Dziban is located at the far end of the desert, and it is a thriving marketplace. However, it is very hard to reach, considering the travels through rough regions it takes to get there, even for those living in the Savanna Region closest to the Desert. The people of Dziban trade clothing and fabrics with the other regions in exchange for resources that their desert does not grow. The Dziban markets are the other reason, besides the Desert Seas, that people travel out to the Desert Region.  SAVANNA REGION: The Savanna Region is hot and dry, though not quite as dry and and not sandy like the Desert Region. The Savanna is mostly dirt and tall dry grass. It's main city Alhena is home to a dark-skinned race of hunters and farmers. Elephants, Lions, and other Savannah beasts are hunted for their furs, skins, tusks, horns, and meat. Farmers grow crops of dry-weather fruits and Savanna nuts. They travel all over to sell their goods, and are excellent traders. Despite the fact that they hunt the wildlife, they have a great respect for the animals they kill. The Savanna Region is also victim to thunderstorms- though these are often as dry as the land itself.  FOREST REGION: The Forest Region rises up to meet the mountains, spouting waterfalls that connect to a great crystal lake in the center of the mountains. The waterfalls are clean and pure, and also the main water source for the forest city of Antares. The people of the forest have built their houses into the trees and in the caverns beneath the waterfalls. They mainly live off of the vegetation, and only kill the forests birds, bears and deer in defense. They are a very simple people, and they enjoy singing and feasting. They rarely travel outside of their city.  GRASSLAND REGION: The people of the grassland village of Ras Algethi are farmers and shepherds, herding sheep, cattle and bison across the grassland plains and foothills running along the edge of the mountain range that isn't covered by forest. They farm wheats and grains and grow most of the vegetables that feed the mainland. The people of the grasslands tend to move their homes as they herd their animals, building grass huts until they move on to the next area. It that sense, the location of Ras Algethi is rarely the same for more than a month at a time.  MOUNTAIN REGION: The people of the mountain region of Apodis are miners and metalworkers. Their city, Thabit, is well known for its jewelry and finery. They make the best weapons in all of Apodis, and many seek out their blacksmithing and jewel-making. The mountain city Thabit is named for being the highest point in Apodis as well. A crystalline lake lies at the very center, in a shallow mountain-valley. It supplies the waterfalls running into the forest.  TROPICAL FOREST REGION: The Rainforest of Apodis is thick dense Jungle. The people who live in the city of Denebola are very skilled hunters, climbers, and even craftsman, since they make many of their own equipment. Denebola is buried deep in the jungle, and is very overgrown, making it difficult to find. The Tropical Forest Region is also known as the Monsoon Region, and is very humid, making it the perfect atmosphere for monkeys, jaguars, tigers, and tropical birds and lizards.  INDUSTRIAL REGION: The Industrial Region consists of four different cities, and is the largest Region in Apodis, rivaled only by the mountains. Azha, the port city, is magnificent and old. It's stone buildings and great marinas are quite the welcome for incoming sailors. The government city, Rigel, is somewhat like a castle close, or a miniature kingdom with its spires and kingly appearance. The council members of the different Regions meet here, and it is also home to the Great Emperor; ruler over all of Apodis. Baham is the Region's main manufacturing city, and is second largest in size, next to Azha, and followed by Rigel and Ankaa. All of the Region's goods are built in factories and shipped all over the world. You can often see Baham's lights illuminating the night sky from as far as the grassland foothills. Ankaa is the smallest city in the region, and is made up of warehouses, really only used for storage. The most impoverished of the cities people live here as well.

Personality⇏ JJ Jones is persuasive but charming, and can often get what he wants through his lies and deceit.
Bio⇏ Jeffery Jonathan Jones considers himself to be quite the accomplished con artist. He can get almost anyone to believe his elaborate lies, although occasionally he does get caught in the act. He has been banned from Rigel for trying to con the court out of some important information. Now he wanders across the Regions, conning various peoples out of goods and money. He is also fairly charming, which makes him good at seeming sociable.
Mr. Jones is originally from a blacksmithing family in the mountain city of Thabit. He followed his father for a while, until he reached the age of twenty-four. He grew bored, and wanted to travel. JJ left his father's business and went out into the world. After a short while, the money his father sent him with was gone, and if he got a new job, he would be tied down. So he began tricking people out of their goods in order to keep going. As this continued, he realized he was good at it, and conned people out of bigger and better things. Now, his con man lifestyle is more of an addiction than anything. He could afford to settle down and live like a noble, but he would rather travel.

Bio⇏ Mick Fenton was raised in the Industrial port city of Azha. His family came to Apodis from Great Britain when the colonists left Earth many years ago. His father is Azha's council representative, and the council focuses mainly on growth and progress. Mick sees that if the factories continue to grow, Apodis with just turn into another failed Earth, and suffer the same fate. So he became a lawyer, fighting for the environment. His father disapproves strongly, and constantly tries to persuade Mick to give up this 'preposterous idea', but Mick will have none of it. He continues to fight his father and the council on this matter. Mick also has suspicions that the Great Emperor himself may not be completely informed on all of the things the council is doing. He wishes he could find a way to talk to the Great Emperor about the subject, but his father and the council make sure that doesn't happen.

Bio⇏ Richard is Mick Fenton's father. He lives in the top floor penthouse apartment of the same building as his son, and often shows up uninvited. He has a habit of pestering his son to give up his crazy endeavors to save the environment, mainly because Mick's work counters Richards own. He is Azha's rep on the council, and the council spends their time trying to advance Apodis, and bring it back to the levels Earth once was. He also does his best to keep his son from getting anywhere near the Great Emperor with his arguments, because the council is worried that the Emperor will agree with Mick. Richard and Mick are not on the best of terms, needless to say.

Personality⇏ Jemma is a quiet and to-the-point kind of girl. She takes her job as a hunter very seriously, and is often at odds with the more rowdy young people of her generation.
Bio⇏ Jemma Aldonise is a young hunter for the rainforest city of Denebola, along with her good friend and hunting partner Adrianna Drakel. She had trained with her father to be a hunter since a very young age, and adores her bow as much as she would a member of the family; maybe even more. Among her other weapons are a spear and a dagger. Depending on the situation, a bow may not always be the best option, although she prefers to use it whenever she can.
Jemma has a half brother who is far more.. loose.. than she is, and they often butt heads on, well... everything. Her brother Ehren tends to do as he pleases, and is too free-spirited for Jemma's liking. Her underlying fear, which she chooses to deny, is that he will get himself into more trouble than he can handle some day. Although they are the same age, they were born from two different mothers, when their father had an affair with Ehren's mother. Jemma's mother agreed to forget about it, as long as Ehren stayed with them, and there was never any other interaction with his real mother. Jemma, however, knows all of this, and tends to be a bit harsh towards Ehren because of it.

He likes the fashion from the Industrial Region more than he likes the homemade clothing of the forest, and dresses that way far more often, even in the forest. Ehren likes to goof-off more than his sister, and is one of those 'rowdy young people' she butts heads with. He has a hard time keeping himself from picking on her, just because she gets so worked up over it. Ehren usually carries a bow around with him as well, though he's no hunter, because animal attacks in the rainforest are fairly unpredictable. One should always have a way to defend themselves.

He is excellent at covering his tracks, and the fact that he has no real training makes him pretty much invisible to anyone looking for a trained assassin. And Assassinations aren't Alec's only talent, he is also good with sabotage and trafficking information. Richard Fenton in particular likes to request Alec's help, and Alec has taken care of "problems" for Richard in the past. Despite his relatively young age and the fact that he hangs around alleys with the smokers and druggies, he is very smart and quite good at what he does.

Personality⇏ Adrianna is a fierce girl who also cares about her hunts and catches. When she and Jemma go hunting, she is the one that is setting traps or using long ranged weapons for the hunt. But unlike Jemma, Adrianna is more sociable and understanding than her friend. She is the secret-keeper in their friendship and tends to not let her feelings out with exception to her two closest friends: Jemma and Ehren. She realizes not to choose sides when it comes to their situation, and so far, that has been fine for her.
Bio⇏ She has been with Jemma ever since childhood and their bond is inseparable. Although their styles of hunting differ, together they make an unstoppable team. She however, did not train with Adrianna and Ehren's father. She trained with a man from another region, but it was so long ago, she could not remember. He had left her once she was done with training and she had never asked who he was or where he was from. She had referred to him only as 'master'. No information was needed from her anyways. She had never told Jemma of this man, and told her that her own father had taught her as well. In the back of Adrianna's mind, she wishes to search for him, but she is needed in the city. Her top priority is her livelihood.

Bio⇏ She's traveled a lot when she was young, but then moved to Azha with her parents and settled in. Her parents taught her to be very strong and was raised with strict rules. As she moved out of the nest, Erica took on journalism, finding her passion in discovering the news of today. She's high up in the news action and covers very touchy stories. One of her tasks is to take observation of the government and the debate on the stresses on the environment. Often times, she is caught up in a story and goes on dangerous adventures.
She's a very dominant person, which can be bad when it comes to making friends, so her personal life isn't in the go yet. She's very street smart though and has many good acquaintances around the city.

☜ ₪✉₪✉☣✉₪✉₪ ☞ Ehren sat out on one of the vine-covered stone ledges of the ancient city of Denebola, staring into the dense jungle surrounding. The air was thick and hot, as it often was, and he could feel the moisture collecting on his skin and hair. The screeching of monkeys in the early morning, and the loud conversational chirps of the every-colored birds could be heard over everything. Even the buzzing sounds of the forest bugs was added to the cacophony. Although this was an almost constant array of sounds, it was somehow different in the morning than it was at the other times of day. Each segment of time seemed to have its very own tone to the jungle noises, and Ehren liked to sit and listen when he was relaxing.
He had just returned from his latest trading excursion to the city the evening before, and was looking forward to taking it easy today. He hoped he wouldn't be dragged off on any jungle adventures, though he couldn't say with any form of certainty that he wouldn't be. Quite often, there were some children, or even Adrianna and his sister, that wanted him to go somewhere or other with them; although in the latter, it was almost always Adrianna that would ask him to join them. Ehren and Jemma had a bad habit of butting heads when it came to.. well.. Just about everything. ♫Help me out, yeah

--Adrianna Drakel--Adrianna looked over the bridges connecting the city together. She was high above the trees, looking for breakfast. Jemma didn't join her this morning, because she was apparently out doing something. Adrianna didn't really pay attention about that. From far above, she swung herself from tree branch to tree branch, trying to catch up with this exotic bird without being noticed. It was very large, maybe even larger than her. It nested near the tree tops where it's eggs probably nested. Adrianna for the perfect area to aim and camped there. She removed her bow from behind her back and drew one of her arrows cautiously. Before she lost momentum, she shot a straight arrow up into the trees. Surrounding birds escaped the treetops and flew away as the giant griffin like bird fell from its perch, landing flat on the ground with a thump. Adrianna swiftly descended down the tree to collect her catch. At the corner of her eye, Adrianna saw Ehren and waved him good morning before she lifted the beast by the legs and began walking towards him.

☜ ₪✉₪✉☣✉₪✉₪ ☞ Ehren looked up as a frightened swarm of birds fled the canopy, and knew a hunter or a large predator must be nearby. He stood quickly as an incredibly large bird fell to the ground, reaching to his back for his bow and quickly notching an arrow. Ehren wasn't a hunter, but most of the people living in the jungle could ready their weapons as quickly as one, considering all of the large man-eating beasts that lived within. One had to be prepared.
When Adrianna jumped out of the trees to fetch her kill, Ehren sighed in relief and lowered his weapon, replacing the arrow into the quiver at his back. He returned to his seated position, one leg hanging over the edge, and waved back to the girl below as she lifted the large bright bird and headed towards him. the creature had to be at least twice her weight, but hunters were strong, and Ehren knew it was probably nothing to her. ♫Help me out, yeah

--Adrianna Drakel--Adrianna reached Ehren and put down her kill. She came up and gave him a friendly punch. "When did you come back?", she asked chummily. "And why didn't you drop by to say hi?" She hadn't seen her friend in a couple weeks and she missed the guy. Having his sister around kept her company, but sometimes she just needed a break from her 'uptight tendencies'. She gave him one of her bro-hugs and put her arm around his shoulder.

--Adrianna Drakel--"Are you serious?" She couldn't even imagine a couple hours without food. "You are ridiculous." Even hearing that made her hungry. "Yeah, sure", she replied. She pulled out a pair of fingertip-less gloves similar to her own and handed it to him. "Don't worry, it'll fit." She then went back to the bird and started to remove the feathers. They were all really huge and colorful, and very difficult to pull out.
