I am very into shows like Ghost Hunters and Haunted Collector. I have also had many spiritual encounters of my own over the years.

So I guess I want to ask

What do you think of spirits? (preferred name you call them, ect.)
What is your take on spirits in the media?
What kind of encounters have you experienced?
or anything else related smile

That sounds pretty neat yeah a ghost box would be interesting to have a conversation with. I have always kinda wanted to do an actual investigation of a house that would be fun.

Threads related to ghosts and strange experiences do infact belong here. Spirit interaction done in trance work or deliberate personal attempts at spirit work belong in a different forum.

I've never watched any of them. They interest me though. I'd be interested to really explore a serious paranormal encounter. I know people who have lived in haunted houses and experienced ghosts themselves. I have not been so lucky.Ghost experiences or deliberate trance experiences?

I have done a lot of trance work in other astral realms. Those realms are spiritual and exist in an energetic field that is slightly off from our own. These are beings that when they are in our world, exist purely as energetic beings but in their own realms are corporeal.

I believe ghosts to be the souls of humans who have been unable to pass on. There are cases in witch lore where a person may be sacrificed at a spot each year for a beneficial harvest. Their soul is then bound to that region for so long. Those people are ghosts.

I think that people who have passed suddenly and or violently (like in a car crash, explosion, ect) have a higher chance of becoming a ghost than some one who doesn't. I also think that many ghosts have regrets or something they need to clear up/change before they can pass on peacefully.

All ghosts are spirits, but not all spirits are ghosts.
Some of them could be genuine experiences and some could be fake. You can't always tell which is which. I need to watch more of them and listen to more of the stories before I can say for sure how often they are fake and how often they are real. The one time I think I experiences a ghost was when I stayed at the Hawthorne Hotel in Salem Mass. It was said that the room I stayed in was next to or across from the most haunted room in the hotel. My mom and I stayed there three nights. The first night I heard unnatural hallway creaking most of the night (even for an old hotel) as well as felt a chill in the air when we went to go get some ice for our drinks. The second night the chill was there, but as I had said "hello I'm just visiting, can you leave us be" my mother and I felt less disturbed. They were there, but had lost their curiosity with us, or some one had checked into the actual haunted room and they were thus occupied in there.
