The air crackles with electricity over the empty lot where The Inn had once stood. The wind blows fierce and dark clouds boil overhead. A few rogue lightning bolts strike the dirt of the lot, throwing chunks of earth and dust through the air. A particularly large strike tears a large rent in the lot, and steam bursts out of the fissure. The air goes still for a moment, then a humongous bolt of lightning crashes into the ground, tearing open the fissure.

A large, seventeenth-century German Inn rises from the ground, filling the lot entirely. It rises up to it's full height, then, even more strangely than it's entrance, it shakes the rest of the dirt clinging to it off, much like a dog shaking off water.

The Inn settles into place with a few wooden groans, seeming to be satisfied with it's dramatic entrance.

The front doors open, and a sign shoots out and catches onto the signpole out front.

[The rules of this thread are that the inside of the Inn is something of a separate dimension, where the Inn will act in accordance with it's own wishes, helping or hindering players at it's whim. There are beds EVERYWHERE. Please refer to original Inn posts in Nostalgia, linked above, if any questions still exist.]

Goll sidles up to the front door of the Inn. "Well, now, this place hasn't changed much. Let's see what chaos might be going on inside." With that, he swings open the doors to reveal a perfectly normal New York 1920's era hotel lobby, complete with concierge and bellhops. "I was not expecting this."

Goll enters the lobby and walks up to the concierge desk.

"Welcome, sir, how may I help you?"

"I, uh... I'd like a room?"

"Wonderful, sir. May I have your name?"

"Goll."

"Okay." The concierge pulls out a large ledger and thumbs through a couple of pages. "Ah, it would seem that you have a room reserved for you."

"I do?"

"Yes. One of the luxury suites. I'll have our bellhop, Eddie, take you to it right away." The concierge rings a bell on the counter and a young man in a red bellhop uniform dashes over. "Would you kindly escort Mr. Goll to his room? Number 14924." The bellhop salutes and takes the key, before heading towards the elevator.

"Well, I... Thank you." Goll follows after Eddie.

Outside of the inn
Hmm the last time I stepped foot in here things were, chaotic to say the least. Well as Trunks would say "Why the hell not."
Steps inside the inn to the 1920's lobby then stops and looks around.
A 17th century German hostel with a 1920's New York hotel lobby, better not speculate on the rooms, it might come true in this place.
Steps up to the concierge desk.

"Welcome, sir, how may I help you?"

"I'd like a room please."

"Wonderful, sir, May I have your name?"

"James Rienheart."

"Okay." The concierge pulls out a large ledger and thumbs through a couple pages. "Ah, it would seem that you have a room reserved for you."

"That can't be right this place didn't exist that until-"

Interrupting James "Yes. One of the luxury suites. I'll have our bellhop, Tim, take you to it right away." The concierge rings a bell on the counter and a young man in a red bellhop uniform dashes over. "Would you kindly escort Mr. Rienheart to his room? Number 23846." The bellhop salutes and takes the key, before heading towards the elevator.

Follows after Tim Oh yes because this isn't suspicious and doesn't scream trap at all. Better see what the inn wants with me at any rate.

Goll stands in the elevator in awkward silence. The elevator hums as it rises into the heights of the impossible inn, floor after floor, even though one knows that it's only supposed to be 4 stories. After a few minutes, the elevator dings at floor 149. The doors slide open and Eddie rushes out, beckoning Goll to follow. Goll sighs before he steps into a hallway that seems to stretch forever in both directions.

"Joy... Just showing off now, aren't we?"

He follows Eddie a half mile down the hall before finally arriving at 14924. Eddie opens the door before handing Goll the keys.

"Just give us a ring if you need anything." And with that, he takes off back down the hall, before Goll can even reach for his pocket for a tip.

"Not weird at all..." Goll begins looking around the room, examining it's huge size.

Waiting patiently as the elevator ascends to impossible heights

It's probably best not to question it. This establishment has a funny way of screwing with the rules of, well everything. The only question is who built this place?

The elevator stops at Floor 238 "If you'll follow me sir."

Tim leads James down the particularly long hallway until they reach Room 23846. "Here we are sir."

Tim quickly opens the door hands James the keys. "If you need anything just give us a ring."

Watching Tim practically bolt down the hall after finishing his duties James shrugs and proceeds to inspect his room.

Touring the room he notices that the temperature drops dramatically to near freezing temperatures.

"I like a cold room but this is borderline ridiculous."

As if appearing out of nowhere a man wearing black and blue garb with a matching mask stands behind James.

"Fight me sorcerer!"

"Are you serious?" And with that the unknown fighter launched what appeared to be an ice bolt at James. "No you're just stupid."

Dodging the ice blast James counter's with arcane lances skewering the fighter. "What was that all about?"

And as quickly as it started the room went back to normal with no indication that anything happened. "I hate this place."

Goll moves to the window and opens the curtains, hoping to get a gauge of how far up the Inn he had actually gone in the real world, maybe to catch a glimpse of the giant mountain in the plains or the large lake, but is instead greeted with the sight of an alien landscape, reminiscent of Gaia, but with slight differences that made it clear that this was either another world or dimension. Trees sway of their own accord, the grass is just a odd shade of green, almost neon, flashes of strange creatures dot the foliage below. He notices that he is about 500 feet up, as well, still not lining up with the floor he is on entirely.

"Well, this just gets weirder and weirder..."

He notices a flash of movement in the room behind him, and spins, pulling out his shotgun. A person in a pink bunny suit stands there, holding a pineapple. It waves slowly, before disappearing in a flash.

"Uhh... WHAT?! I don't know if this place is messing with me on purpose, or trying to re-calibrate to our world after stasis, but this is getting freaky."
