I was wondering if any one else has felt that worship and holiday celebrations don't have to be full elaborate ceremonial occasions. My solstice ritual was incredibly simple. It basically involved eating foods associated with Summer (burgers and dogs with potato salad), drinking a blessed drink in honor or the Lord and Lady of fire and the Summer, blessing my fiance's new hobby (which fuels one of our passions), engaging in physical passion, and smoking a blessed smoke. This was how I celebrated the return of Fire and the God and Goddess of summer. I did pour the ancestors, the dragons, and the Gods a libation as well.

To some that may just be a night of fun and games between a pair of consenting adults. Yet I still got into my ritual state. I experienced the Gods presence and I felt the surge of my passions return. In this way my rite was successful

So I ask you,

Does worship have to entail formal established ritual?

My path is eclectic and also very ecstatic. I realize that other people here have paths where my celebration would be offensive to their Gods and their paths. This is why I have started this discussion.
