I decided to create this thread for stuff that is more important than General Forum stuff, but not Announcement worthy, just to keep the Announcement thread more streamlined. Basically, this will be a "hey, I think this is important, but not pressing" thread.

To start, I made a recruitment thread post in the forums. If you guys could go check it out, maybe add your own criteria, just generally bump the thread, that would be awesome.

This came up in another guild some time ago, but since the topics are different locations, I think it best if we make sure to post when we leave an area in one topic and when we enter one in another. It'll be to avoid having someone be in multiple places at the same time.

If not, we should probably state a clear clause in the rules that the locations aren't all connected by time.

Sounds good. I can make a mention that The Inn will always have a different timeline that can match up or be different than the main forum storyline. But, yeah, the fact we have much of the forum as a connected town should have a whole "traveling" status mentioned. I wonder if we could do something were we have a declared area status that we can update. I'd say signature, since that's visible everywhere, but some people prolly wouldn't want that if they go to other guilds/threads.

I dunno about signature. I have my account set to block signatures. A relic from the old computer since it was fairly slow so I figured anything to save bandwidth and make it easier on an old 1.6 ghz single CPU.

I guess we kinda went on our honor back then though. Include the fact that you're leaving the area in your post. If you're going to an active area, allow for a reasonable passage of time before actually arriving depending on your method of travel.

It sounds kinda strict but it was mostly simple. It was mostly to avoid god-mod levels of super speed, abruptly ignoring people trying to communicate with you by vanishing without a trace, and it was sort of a gameplay mechanic since it was like a big game of Elemental Risk. I had to petition something like that with the captain since otherwise simply not posting would have been the best way to defend territory from opposing nations.

It didn't stop the Miss Cleo-ing but well, same problem, different day.

Double Post, I know. Another thing to address. If someone has multiple characters should they keep each character sheet to one post or have separate posts? The former would keep the character sheet topic post count low, but the latter would make finding each individual character for reference easier to do.

Hmmm... I think that keeping all the extra characters an account has to one post might be better, as we can see all the characters that a player has at once, instead of having to search all the sheets if we start getting more members.
