I waste my time on: Nadia is a tomboy. She was raised on the beaches and can't go a day without being outdoors. She enjoys skating on her custom roller blades or skateboard for travel. She surfs a lot back home on the beach. Although she's fashionable, she enjoys few 'girly' things. She prefers to be out practicing with her compound bow, hunting with it or one of her many guns, and fishing. Her outdoorsy-ness is actually what got her started as a trainer.

On the surface: Nadia is a very outgoing girl. She loves the challenge of a new sport or a particularly difficult video game. The adrenaline rush of extreme sports is a drug to her. As a result, she tends to hang out with a lot more guys than girls. Nothing irks her more than a 'damsel in distress' kind of girl who refuses to do anything for herself. Except perhaps a guy who nerds out because she's into more stereotypically 'masculine' hobbies. She's pretty nice unless she's given a reason not to be and her humor can be pretty crass if you don't know what to expect. Typically, she comes off as a spunky, 'tainted beauty' type. Nadia's a little rough around the edges but she's very charismatic and a good person to vent to. Don't ask her to vent back, though. Nadia doesn't really know how to talk about her own feelings. She's pretty down to earth and to those she is close to, she's loyal beyond reason. She has no problem risking her own butt to get a friend out of trouble. Unlike many of her gender, she doesn't hold grudges long and is pretty laid back most of the time. Few people have actually ever even seen her get serious. When she's upset, she has a quick temper and although she doesn't raise her voice, she isn't afraid to be blunt and ruthless. Being a gamer and an athlete, she is pretty competitive and puts a lot of her time and skill into her passions. She has an unparalleled drive when she is actually motivated and can sometimes take the fun out of competitions for others without meaning to. She just wants to be the best.
But deep down: Nadia grew up the only child of a very well off couple. Her mother is a business tycoon and her father is a self-made owner of a motorcycle franchise. All in all both of them are very busy. While they love Nadia, they aren't exactly good at expressing it, emotionally. Her father is too hardened and crass and her mother is practically attached to her cellphone. Taking more after her father, Nadia never minded too much. She had practically anything she wanted materially speaking and invested her pent up neglect into her hobbies, devoting herself to getting better and better everyday until her parents would have no choice but to notice. This has yet to work.
Regardless, in school and with her friends, Nadia was very popular. She always had the nicest decks, the coolest moves, and the best adventures. Due to her parents' absence, she got into alcohol and drugs pretty early, even for a teen and she's pretty independent. She began to party a lot transitioning from middle school to high school and never really had a dull moment. She would couch surf a lot at her varying friends' houses and sometimes skip school on a whim. All in all, she was living every teen's dream.
Once, when she was bow hunting, Nadia mistook a rare Cubone for the tail end of a hare. Fortunately for the Cubone, it looked up at the sound of her arrow releasing and was shot in the thigh rather than the chest. When Nadia realized what she'd done, she was devastated. The teary-eyed girl ran the whimpering cubone all the way to a pokemon emergency room. She then pleaded her parents to pay for an expensive surgery for the wild pokemon and, inevitably, to keep it. Since then, she and her Cubone have been inseparable. It still has a scar on it's thigh from that day, but it obviously adores Nadia as much as she does it. From then on, Nadia began to foster the notion of becoming a pokemon trainer.
When she was sixteen, her father's brother moved in with them during hard times. It turns out, he was what people called a 'funny uncle'. In her parent's absence, he took full advantage of his time with Nadia. Couple that with the pent up anger Nadia had towards her distant parents and her chaotic social life, and it was a recipe for disaster. Nadia ran away with her skating stuff and a few of her parent's bank cards. She stole far too much money from them and opened up her own accounts, changed her phone number, and never looked back. On the way out of the door, her father's Eelektross, a long time family pet, came with her. Since then, Nadia has lived her life day by day. She always moving, always growing, and always challenging every obstacle that dare stands in her way.
