lifemates are wolves that are basically married.
it's something that is achieved through roleplay, and the main (…and only?) perk is that you're more likely to get more puppies from breedings.
as the title implies, lifemates are for life.

in order to qualify as lifemates, two wolves must complete one rp together about, idk, falling in love or whatever like that.
Yeah, it ain't hard. It can even count towards the RP discount on breedings.
two alphas in a pack should be lifemates.
Similarly, an Alpha's lifemate should always be the other Alpha (and not a Gamma or something). That's…just how that stuff works. If the other wolf isn't an Alpha yet, but is working towards it, that's fine.
two lone wolves can also become lifemates.
two of your wolves can be lifemates.
lifemates can be the same gender.
