the mountain foothills roleplay forum rules

this forum (besides this post, lol) is always in character.

please label all threads correctly!
[RP TYPE] Clever Title (Wolf 1 x Wolf 2), so an example would be: [PRP] What's That Smell? (Wind Waker x Sunflower). If you have more than two wolves participating (or if it is an open roleplay), feel free to list just one wolf and then an "etc." (or et.al. to be grammatically correct l00lz).

you're welcome to change an rp from private to open if you want more participants (or open to private, if you're getting too many participants), just don't flip-flop a whole bunch.

forum tags

[ORP] :: open roleplay, for anyone who wants to join in whenever

[PRP] :: private roleplay, only for those invited to participate

[SRP] :: self roleplay, for just you and the crickets.

[FIN] :: finished, completed roleplay

about the mountain foothills

The Mountain Foothills are hilly regions at the base of the sheer mountains that surround Nuna to the North, East, and South (however, the Southern mountains are incredibly dangerous and steep; no wolves dwell there). Some of the foothills are open and grassy, while some are sparsely forested (not nearly as dense as the forests to the Southeast). Some wolves also live far up into the mountains, and have adapted to the harsh environment by having larger paws and being more flexible than the other wolves (thus allowing them to walk on top of deep snow drifts and scale steep rocky walls with ease, respectively). The Mountain Foothills do not experience the broad range of seasons that the Grasslands and Forests do: it's pretty much either not snowing, kinda green, and vaguely warm; or everything is completed covered with a crazy amount of snow and ice and it's ridiculously below freezing.

Here are some photos to help you imagine what the mountain ranges of Nuna look like at different locations, during different seasons.

The top of the peaks are covered in snow year-round and can be quite treacherous. The wolves typically do not venture this far up.

The foothills are often rocky and difficult to navigate; evergreens are the only trees that can withstand the harsh temperatures and winds.

During the winter, the mountains and the foothills are typically covered in several feet of snow. The wolves' large furry feet act as snowshoes and allow them to move quickly across the top of the snow.
