All i can say is that you lot are friggin AWESOME!
you wanna keep this place going and with all the donations that i've received for the guild i can do just that!
And gaia is rethinking things as well the prizes have been halved which is a start at least; if they keep listening to us perhaps i will donate again ^_^
Just thought i would keep everyone in the loop, on how i am feeling and what is going on with me.
After Gaia's last stunt with the new exclusive club i'm feeling very much like a cash cow,
I really hate what they have done and refuse to continue to support the site in anyway.
For those that dont know everything about the situation, for people that spend over $100 in a 12 month period get into this club in which you have an exclusive shop and other privileges that are yet to be rolled out.
Dont get me wrong i like the idea, we should indeed be rewarded for the money that we give to the site, however i dont believe in anyway that we should have to pay more for those rewards, okay maybe i dont know $20 max for an item but $250 for a single item! how is that rewarding us?!
not to mention if you want to get all the items for July your need to pay $1000, WTF! Seriously!
I knew the pricing was getting back after the last few sales.... i mean a sales is generally items under $30, your doing it wrong gaia!
Gaia is basically telling me that "oh hey you have donated this much, you have money so we want more."
I see them as greedy bastards and i no longer wish to support them or the site.
What does this mean for me on gaia?
Well i will still be here, there are to many people that i have meet online through this site to simply leave; and i wont leave, i dont wish to and i am only going to be stopping all my supporting of the site.
What does this mean for the guild?
At this point in time i am really not to sure, a big part of the prizes i give out are mostly through real money that i spend on the site, so for this i am extremely sorry as this will not be continuing;
I can no longer get new prizes for the charity, i can no longer run the monthly raffle, and i can no longer do the monthly donations
This month of july will be the final month (as i have already bought all the stuff before all this happened)
Come August i will no longer we running these comps; or any others for that matter.
No more GC charity and no more Gold shop Charity.
I will however be donating on other sites; the most active site i am on is Soila- you will most likely see me far more on there then here from now on.
If they change things on gaia, i will change my stop on the donating; but until them i will not support them in anyway,
Again i am very sorry to all the guild members about this,
and i may also be stepping down as your captain..... just need to find you a good replacement.
You lot win XD i'm staying captain!

How much gold would you guesstimate that providing prizes for the guild costs you?

How much gold would you guesstimate that providing prizes for the guild costs you? well if i think about it i only top up charity prizes when we are running low- and those i normally put in 10 items worth between 60 -100k and 5 items 100+ for the monthly stuff i normally give out two letters- bout 200k each depending on the month and the monthly donations are 250k a month, so we are talking 1 mill roughly a month including if any new shop items were to come out and i were to open the gold shop charity etc i could probably get the gold but i would end up hating the grind and grudge coming onto gaia XD so i'm not gonna set myself up for that.

Theres nothing i can doa bout it tho, and i still love playing (mostly to donate and gift) You meet some cool ppl.

Vexous i guess i just feel like i cant fill the role if i cant provide anything for our members crying Your friendship and leadership are FAR more valuable to us than your prizes. It's fun getting prizes, but it's even more fun having you for our amazing captain. A note about the "rewards" thing. I saw it, but there is no way I'm spending that kind of real money on pixels, so I just ignored it. For the few people (I guess there must be some) who are willing to give Gaia that much money, thank you very much for supporting a site I enjoy. But I don't intend to give any more money than ever, and I won't be shopping much if at all in the "special" shop because as you say, the prices are outrageous to me. This is not me speaking as a moderator, just as a person who enjoys this site and the people on it and even many of the pixels. I understand your being upset, but don't leave as our captain. We love you for YOU, not your prizes!
