I am: straight
On the surface: Tokio is said to be a guy with a ready to go attitude. Wherever his job takes him, Tokio is always on the move. When facing a challenge, he's determined to overcome it, which is weird because he's a slacker in school. But one thing sets Tokio over the edge that changes him. If he sees his his friends, or any good Pokemon suffering in a criminal's hand, Tokio goes berserk and fights physically or with his Pokèmon until he saves them, no matter what.
But deep down:
As a child, Tokio had lived with only his mother around, since his father was working in a gym off in the Sinnoh region. He's always been around Pokemon his whole life and thought of all of them friendly. Especially the little ones. As he grew up, he played with them more and more, until he can actually be able to command wild Pokemon during the heat of trouble. Tokio had enjoyed that. Making others happy and helping people out was something that greatly affected Tokio's feelings on Pokemon all over. Some were nice, some were pretty tough, and others were basically like people. He liked them all so much. He and his mother decided to go off and register as a pokemon ranger. It was hard work, and pretty tough, especially having to go off and battle against some of his rivals in the school, and having to run through the whole country and region just to help in missions. But he graduated. And now he's working in whichever base he can, going against Team Solstice.
