Finally got myself a kindle and some money. Are there any books that I should get that are good for a beginner who pretty much no idea what she's doing?

Depends on which way you lean to be honest. Beginner what? Heathen? Witch? Hellenic? Kemetic? Thelemite? ENP? Knitter? Writer? (Ok I'll stop now. cat_whee I really need to stop posting at 2 in the morning) Until we know exactly what you're looking for we can recommend books until we're blue in the face but that doesn't mean that its going to be what you're looking for and then that's possible money wasted.

What books? I'm not familiar with that author. Did you connect with anything in those books? Is there a particular mythology that you connect to?

I got "The ultimate Wicca handbook" and "A wiccan's guide to meditation". I found both of them really informative. The handbook gave examples of a number of different mythologies.
Thanks! Just downloaded it. I'll read it once I get home.

E.A. Koetting's "Questing for visions" NOT a light read nor one primarily for beginners. But, E.A. Koetting has dangerously effective writing. You want to expand your conscious and get some good info on entheogens? (Drugs and herbs used in magic) There you go. You want to figure out how to break barriers within yourself and make contact spiritually? There you go.

Koetting writes dangerous material though which is why I love him so much. heart He doesn't sugar coat. smile

I started on Ravenwolf because that's all I could get my hands on but I have s**t tonnes of books ranging from Crowley, Aggrippa, Conway, Brian Bates, Jennings, Cunnigham, Hawkins, Starhawk.... I have a small library redface
I would recommend staying away from Fiona Horne and Ravenwolf though and most of Grimassi's work is plagiarism.
