On the surface:
Izanami is an outgoing, straight-shooting type. Enthusiastic and excitable, by nature this girl lives in the world of action. Bluntly she is a straight-forward risk-taker, who is willing to plunge right into things and get her hands dirty. It is odd that this little woman has an uncanny ability to be extremely perceptive to determine people's attitudes and motivations. She can pick up on little cues which go completely unnoticed by most other people, such as facial expressions and stance. She is typically a couple of steps ahead of the person she is interacting with. It is by doing this she has the ability to get what she wants out of a situation.
Rules and laws are optional, rather than mandates by her. If she decides that something needs to be done, then her "do it and get on with it" attitude takes precedence over the rules. However, Isabella tends to have her own strong moral belief in what's right and what's wrong, and will doggedly stick to her principles. The rules may hold little value to the girl, but personal integrity mandates that she will not under any circumstances do something which she feels to be wrong. It should be known she does have a strong flair for drama and style. Her fast-moving, fast-talking nature and appreciation for the finer things in life lead her to do very interesting things such as lie about her life. Shes made a habit of constantly reinventing herself even though she is a well known author.
But deep down: Her mother worked two jobs one as a waitress at a local restaurant during the day, and at night was a bartender. Her father was a hard-working man that though laid off of most construction jobs who couldn't afford all their workers, always pulled his family through no matter how strained they were because of bills. Little Gecko was proud of her life and vocalized it as much as she could to her friends, who often laughed when she turned her back for being one of the poorer kids in school. The family was extremely close, and though she never had the best things, Izanami knew she was loved and was happy. They we all happy and could never be separated.
The family was unshakable when it came to most things until Izanamis' sister, Reiko, turned ten. The young girl began to lose weight and random numbness in her elbows down to her hands. Her parents being concerned took her in when she randomly loss use of her left hand and had a mild fever shoot through the roof. After a few hours in the hospital, and a few nerve wracking days of not knowing what was wrong, Her sister was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma, also known as Soft tissue Sarcoma. The cancerous tumor had formed around her joints in her hands and elbow. The family crumbled to their knees and Izanami became extremely protective of her sibling. Still, the news despite being terrible managed to help the family find strength in each other. After chemo-therapy because of the tumor being so heavily set in the smaller connections of her hand, Reiko was cured mostly. The scars of her Ewing Sarcoma hindering her ability to write and draw. So, Izanami took her sisters passion and aided her. She began writing about the marvelous adventures they fantasized about. The two were the closest despite the difficult situation they were born into.
In her freshman year of high school the young Izanami was dealing with the loss of both her mother and sister. Her father was struggling to keep the bills paid, and she was struggling with the loss of her best friend and mother. Bills were backing up, and between her father working himself to the bone and her struggle to keep her grades up the family was crumbling under pressure. Her father saw that their lives were only going to get worse and Izanami was accustomed to life with Pokemon. That is when he sent Izanami to live with her aunt Annalise Leblanc a well known Pokemon Breeder. The woman had her own children, one of which was Izanami's age named Serra. The two nearly immediately hit it off and shared their interest in writing and Pokemon. The two would soon travel the world together with the Pokemon Annalise had given to them which were two young Ralts siblings.
When she began writing while adventuring as a young trainer at 16 she was inspired by the events of past years. Her first book she wrote was a fantasy based off of her own family history and Annalise along with Serra. It was a tale that took off in popularity. Two books in that same series later she was a rising author that was well known for her fantasy novels involving tales of a trainer and her sister taking on the mysteries of the Pokemon world. Life for her was finally good and people were wondering how she made characters that seemed so realistic. She was bombarded with questions about her methods but none of them were answered. Izanami kept her methods of writing secret and eventually graduated college with a bachelors degree.
