This Island contains what remains of what once was a thriving race of people known as the Shadow Rogue. Rather large island is between the mist content and the glasica continent hiding in a dense mist that is almost impossible to navigate through, and hides the island by hiding it, in its shadow by reflecting light. The outer part of the island is a dense forest full of wildlife and waterfalls and running water, but the Inner part of the island, is large canyon where the people lived. The houses and buildings of the city were built directly into the walls of the canyon. The Shadow Rogue people didn?t worship the summons of either side, but preferred to stay neutral. Instead they worshiped the spirits. The summons didn?t see reason to concern themselves with such a place, once its people died out. The summons have long forgotten of it and the fiends are unknown here, they could be strong weak or ones never seen of before.

Greed and Maki appeared side by side at the center of the town, Greed took a look around to see that the town wasnt in ruins. it seemed as no one had tried to inhabit the island after his race was wiped out. Greed looked at Maki and put on a fake smile "Here we are Maki, this is my homeland... Shadows Island"

Maki looked around, blinking her eyes as they teleported so fast and had to adjust her eyes to the lighting here.
"Wow. I thought you said the city was in ruins... do you think anyone is here?"

"To tell you the truth Maki, i was just assuming that my city was in ruins. This is the first time i have been back since i sacrificed myself to preform the curse." Greed closed his eyes what seemed for moments then opened them once again " I dont sense major forms of energy here besides the life energy of the wildlife and some fiends, the weaker fiends stay on the outer edges of the island and the stronger fiends are closer to where we are but i dont think they would come in the city."

Maki looked around, "I guess we better get started by finding a place to rest."
With that she waited for Greed to move first not wanting to wander too far from him because she was uncertain about the type of fiends that lived here.

Maki nodded and as they walked towards his house Maki thought about Sai.
"This is awesome, do you think they'd mind if I borrowed or took the books on potion making? My master Sai would surely love them and take great care of them," she said. Then realized Greed probably doesn't know who she's talking about. "Master Sai is my potions instructor. I was studying under him when I met Katrea. He's like a grandfather to me."

he continued to walk foward but looked back at maki "Yeah feel free to take as many books as you want. No one else lives here anymore, so feel free to take them. Im sure Sai will make great use of them studying the medcinal ways of my people. You may take anything you wish to while you are here. I think you will like the Armory as well." He looked back where he was walking and stopped, and looked up to his his house. It was largest house in the city, atleast twice the size of most of the other houses in the city "This is my house Maki"

Maki looked up at the tall building.
"Wow that's huge," she replied as she followed Greed inside. "What are your people like when they're not being hired as mercenaries?"

Greed turned around to face her "Yeah its big... well my people werent hired as just mercenaries, we were hired as assassins also. When we werent on a job we were just normal people. We trained, talked with our friends, watched our children play with thier friends and kept our city running. We all pitched in to keep our city prosperse" Greed walked up the steps and pushed the front door open to his house and walked in holding it open for Maki

"Thank you," she replied stepping inside the mansion. Out of randomness she yelled and listened for the echo. "We're home!"

Greed smiled and laughed but at the same time seemed full of sadness "Maki ill lead you to a room where you may rest for the night" Greed led her up the stairs and past a couple of empty room, one had a bunch of shelves with ancient relics, and the other seemed to be a young boys room. Greed quickly closed the door hoping Maki didnt see what was inside it. he led her to the room after the one he just closed the door too. "Here you are Maki, you may sleep here for the night and rest, ill be in the room at the end of the hall if you need me" He left her in the room as she began to look around and walked down the hall into his room where he laid his sword Tenro, and sunglasses on his bed and sat down and began to cry as he thought of his deceased wife and child "I wish there was something I could have done to save you two, but my powers were bound by those damned dark angels and i couldnt do anything and i am sorry"

Maki looked around and read the titles of different books lining the shelves in one corner. She noticed one odd looking book that didn't seem to belong. She carefully pulled it out and noticed it was a diary of sorts, she looked at it for a very long time before opening it.
"Hmmm, looks interesting ... he did say any book," she mumbled to herself before slapping the dust off the covers and pulling them back. She coughed a little as some of the dust tickled her nose. "Wow."
Looking through her pouch she found a match and lit a long white candle, as the flames danced around its wick she sat up in the bed and pulled the covers around her waist.
"Let's see what story you have to tell," she said as she opened the book. A drawing fell out of the covers. She reached down on her lap and picked it up. It was a child's drawing of a happy family playing in front of what looked like a house. Maki gently placed it back in the cover smiling, she rememered drawing something similar when she grew up. "I didn't know Greed had family here. I wonder if it was a sibling or his own child who drew this."
Maki began reading the diary, it was obviously a woman's handwritting. As she read the book she began falling asleep.

Greed got up off the bed and walked towards a giant book case which covered the far left wall of his room. "I hope its still here" He pulled one of the books and as he did the center part of the book case relieved to be a door, as he walked through it the door clased back and candles lit the room. The room was full of different objects, on one was different types of weapons, and along the opposite shelves were what to be skulls of ancient extinct fiends, and along the wall that is directly across from the door was a desk and above the desk was two portraits both of them of greeds family, one was of him, his wife and thier son then the other one was just his wife and son. he walked up to the desk and opened up the middle drawer and pulled out a old box that seemed to glow as he touched it "I see you are in here....jewel of the shadow" he opened the box and took out the jewel, closed the box and put it back then exited the hidden room and sat back down on his bed hold the jewel and his sword upside down.

As Maki closed her eyes something caught her attention and she opened her eyes and focused on the pages. The hand writing was elegant and artistic to match.
The diary read:
"Today Lord Greed and his lady went for a walk through the city in search of books. As if they don't have enough in the house already. Vivian is now focused on drawing and has confessed he is afraid. But of what? I know the summons have been calling on the clan alot these days, which can be frightening to a child. But when I laid Vivian in his bed for his nap, he complained about not wanting to see his nightmares again. I didn't want to anger the family but I allowed Vivian to draw until he felt tired and laid down for his afternoon nap.
After a quick cup of tea and some biscuits I went to check up on Vivian, he was turning in his sleep, his body glowing as he did so. Wasn't sure what to make of it and was kind of wishing Lord and Lady Greed had returned to witness this and maybe talk to him and assure him nothing bad would become of us."
Maki continued reading and as she did so she could see the child, a miniature version of Greed turning in his sleep in her mind.
"It's been a few minutes, Vivian screamed and called for me. The poor child. I ran into his room and he was sitting in the corner of his room with his toys strewn around him as if he was trying to make a barrier of some kind. When he saw me he ran into my arms crying that the Summons are angry with us and asks what have we done to deserve this.
This concerned me so I wrote it down on a note pad and awaited for the lordships to return so I may inform them. After the child had calmed down I fetched him his favorite lunch and took him outside to play. But he wouldn't even look at the other children, he kept looking up as if asking the summons himself why they were foresaking him with these horrid dreams. And as if they answered him, the heralders flew past shouting out the announcement of an oncoming war.
I grabbed Vivian and took him inside. He never said a word that day, just kept looking at the sky."
