[+Katch+] Barinthus: Ah, thank you, but please, no bowing, I get quite enough of that at home, it's nice to just talk to someone without formalities sometimes. *He shook his head a bit, his bangs getting in his face enough to be quite tiresome* Elisheva? * He repeated, rolling the word over his tongue as if he were tasting it * That is a very pretty name, i've never heard it's like, you may say you are not "unique" but i'd say otherwise with a name like that. He shook his tail a bit, the sun catching the oranges and blues, making his fins slightly transparent* almost certainly, I'm a very good swimmer, coming from two different aquatic parents, I was swimming way before I could walk * He smiled a bit* So what are you doing out here, if I may ask?

I presume you don't want me addressing you as Fishie then? *her eyes were alight with mischief as she gently teased* Thank you, my mother named me, and she is very dear to me, so you pay her a great compliment as well as myself *she nodded as he spoke of his natural prowess in the water* I should like to see that, but I fear that water and feathers don't mix so I'd have to watch from dry land *she tilted her head at his question* Nothing in particular I would say? I like exploring, and I like making new discoveries

[+Katch+] Barinthus: Oh, apologies Elisheva, many are so uptight around me that when i'm out and about myself they still think i'm doing diplomatic nonsense for my mother and feel they should act accordingly * A wry smile curved on his lips* Only if you're ok with me calling you Featherduster, just our usual names are fine. *He nodded understandingly* Exploring is a nice get away, sometimes I find myself doing that, I was just trying to relax for the day, my mother is a saltwater Mer, but my father was mostly freshwater before he lost a good chunk of his tailfin, I can stand both, but I found myself a nice lake to swim about in this morning.

CitrusCupcake Elisheva chuckled a little at that. She was glad that they'd gotten talking before he introduced himself as a Prince, as she might have formed the opinion that he would be slightly stuck up, or imperious. But he was neither, and had a sense of humour that her own lively mind appreciated. "Featherduster? I look bedraggled then?" she asked, a slightly indignant tone to her voice but she still smiled. "And don't worry, beyond the bow, I will be the least uptight I can possibly be. Well, without being impertinent." she listened to him talking about his parents, in a strange way they sort of echoed her own. "My mother is a winged mare, my father is a ground stallion. And I have..8 siblings. Do you have brothers, sisters?"

[+Katch+] Barinthus smirked. "No, not at all in fact, you're a very well kept featherduster." He sighed, as is he was letting go of all the tension he had had up until that point. "You are gracious, thank you, it can get quite troublesome to not be ones self." He tilted his head, his short orange mane spilling to the side of his face "Really? That is quite something, genetics are marvelous aren't they?" He shrugged. "Ah but I myself have no siblings, my mother apparently had a great deal of difficulty even conceiving me. Hence, I am the one and only." He flared out his tail like a colorful fan. "It does not bother me at all but sometimes I wonder what it would have been like to have siblings, even just to share some of the responsibillities my mother heaps on to my fins!" he chuckled.

CitrusCupcake Elisheva laughed out loud at that. "A fine compliment!" she said, giving him a bow again but this one was for comedic effect and she was still chuckling as she straightened, giving her wings a quick unfurl and a shake before folding them again. "Yes?" she said when she had regained her composure. "But you're a Prince, don't you get to do what you want, wouldn't that be a sort of royal prerogative?" she asked. She would dislike being restricted in being herself, everyone should have at least that in their life. "Well, I would have been has content to be without wings as with, though they do afford me a freedom that some of my siblings don't have." she watched as he displayed his tail again, the action both fascinating and amusing as she wondered if he used as a peacock did, in a sort of 'look at me' kind of way. "So..you're a Prince. Your mother and father, they are a King and a Queen?"

[+Katch+] "Ehhh, well maybe our court isn't exactly traditional, I certainly don't get what I want,respect perhaps, but for the most part i'm bound by the title much like...hmmm...a guard to his detail. My mother is a queen of mers, my father was a mere representitive of his people. I AM a prince by title, but beyond my mother, you earn your royalty." He smiled pleasantly. "I'm what they call a "fighting fish" i spent many years having to pit myself against others to call myself their prince and protector. It's a job." He laughed deeply. "Flying would be interesting, of course I myself will never have the pleasure. You'll have to tell me all about it someday."
