Elizabeth fumbled with her hands in her pocket, looking for the key. She felt something cold, and grabbed it. Gotcha, she thought unlocking the door. Izzy put her hand up and turned around facing her new dorm buddies. "Here we are," She said smiling. She then walked into the dorm room, and threw her suitcase on the couch. "Linus, let me show you around," She said, grabbing his arm. She first led him to her room. "This is where I'll be saying, pop by whenever you want," She said, squeezing his hand tighter. "Aspen's room is across from mine, see?" She said turning around and showing Aspen's. After he saw the girl's room, Izzy went into the bathroom and rolled her eyes. "This is the bathroom, a little girly for my liking, but it's whatever," She huffed, bringing him out the bathroom. Across from the bathroom was Linus' room. "And this my new friend, is your room, I hope you like it," She said taking her suitcase from and leaving him to look around.
Izzy walked down the hallway, and plopped down on the couch; throwing her suitcase Linus was holding, on the couch, along with it the other one. "Isn't this dorm room awesome," She said to her sister, who looked she was still mesmerized by the entrance; which was the kitchen. "I could stay here all day..if we didn't have to go to class," She said, shaking her head. "I might do that and skip," She thought aloud, putting her feet. Izzy covered her mouth and sunk into the couch. Shouldn't of said that, let the yelling begin, she thought looking at Aspen.
((I picked a room for Linus, hope he likes it. :p))
Aspen followed after her sister and to their dorm, almost bumping into her as she stopped suddenly. This must be it, she thought, watching as her rowdy sister dragged Linus into the dorm. She followed in silently after them and closed the door since she was the last one inside. While Elizabeth was busy showing their new roommate around, she headed over to her room. The entire thing was painted pink and white, her favorite colors, and her was up some little stairs. It was all a bit over the top for her, she could have settled for something simpler, but her sister did like to go out when it came to decorating. It was either that or her father sent this over as a sign for apology. Maybe even as a bribe to bring her back home, which wasn't going to happen for a long, long while.
After setting down her things onto the plushy couch in her room, she went out in the hallway to see Izzy on the couch in the living room. She had to agree with her sister on the dorm being awesome. It was pretty amazing. "Yeah it really is," she said, smiling at her. At her suggestion to skip class just because she wanted to stay in here all day, she just frowned at her. It seemed Elizabeth was expecting her to yell at her, no doubt from her hand covering he mouth, but instead Aspen spoke in a calm, soothing voice, "Now don't say that Izzy. That wouldn't be very responsible of you, would it? We came here to acomplish something, not laze about ya know." Aspen was starting to sound a lot like their father. Not that she noticed though.
Linus looked around his room, which, while not as roomy as his own room back in his manor, seemed comfortable enough. "I, uh, guess t-this isn't bad." he said to himself, the spoiled brat in him surfacing briefly, before getting buried under his plans for the day.
He placed the box in the middle of the room, and with a single snap of his finger the box disappeared as everything was conveniently placed, usually where they should be. He glanced at his pen, which was stuck through the window, and pulled it off carefully. A hand-wave, and the glass window was fixed. There probably are some more mistakes by the spell, but he decided that he'll worry about that later.
He threw his coat on the bed, and changed into a warm, oversized grey sweater as he joined the other in the living room, just in time to hear their conversations. "O-oh, er, l-last year here, I kn-know this g-girl who never went to any classes." Linus said, not quite knowing what would even be the point of him stating that. He fingered the edge of his shirt nervously.
OMG. Sorry I never got back to you guys! I was so busy RP's that I never got back in time for this one (wow so lateeee) Ehe my bad. I'll respond once my sister gets back to us wink
Aspen turned her head at the sound of Linus's voice, shooting him a warm smile. She knew he just spoke up for the sake of saying something, so she just looked back over at Izzy again. "And you wouldn't want to be like that girl Linus was talking about, do you?" Aspen cluckled in a motherly tone, ruffling her sisters electric blue hair in the process.
She strode over to the kitchen, which was still visible in th living room, and opened up the cupboards. Pulling out a package of macaroni before asking, "Are you guys hungry at all? I'm going to make us some macaroni and cheese if you want some~" Without an answer, she then took out one pound of sharp cheddar cheese and sliced through it. She also grabbed a tablespoon of butter, salt and pepper for taste, and one can evaporated milk. Spreading out the ingredients on the counter, she turned on the oven to 375 degrees F. Aspen brought out a large pot and put it on the stove, pouring lightly salted water inside to boil. She added the pasta and started to stir it, looking totally concentrated on her work. Aspen had always loved cooking as she grew up and it was usually up to her to make dinner because her father was never around to help out. This is one of the reasons why she is so independent, never wanting others to care for her.
Elizabeth rolled her eyes at her sister, and sat up in her chair. "Oh Aspen, stop worrying, it was just a joke," She huffed, putting her feet up on the coffee table. Izzy watched Linus enter the living room. She patted the seat to her and smirked. "This girl must of had lots of fun huh?" She asked, giving out a laugh. Izzy soon stopped laughing when her sister began to scold her again. Why did I want to room with her again, she thought, rolling her eyes once again. "Maybe I would," She answered her sister, crossing her arms with an attitude. Izzy moved away from her sister as she tried to touch her hair and hissed. "Stop Aspen, you know I don't like you touching my hair," She reminded her. When they were living together, Aspen always tried to do her hair, and any second she could, Aspen would try and play with Izzy's hair. Of course Izzy hated it. Elizabeth leaned back, and put her hands behind her head, resting them. "Sure mac and cheese sounds good," She called to her sister, who already had started the food.
The boy glanced at the clock and to his relief found out that they still had plenty of time before class. Or not. The schedule over here is a nightmare for him. "Um, I think mac and cheese would be nice..." he raised his hand to summon a book, but he allowed that using magic for every convenience might offend Izzy and Aspen, who will likely have less magical energy to spare. Instead, he dashed over to his room to get his textbook.
"Say..." Linus spoke up as he sat on the couch next to Izzy, he did not know if now would be a good time, but it's now or never. "How did you, uh, two end up here? At Northern Star, I mean."
Once the pasta cooked for about ten mintues, she drained it, dumping the contents into a strainer in the sink. She then greased the casserole dish before placing a quarter of the macaroni in the bottom, followed by an even layer of one-quarter of the cheese slices. She dotted that with butter and seasoned it with salt and pepper, repeating the layer three times. Aspen poured evaporated milk evenly over the top to finish before putting it in the oven, uncovered, to bake. "Now all we have to do is wait~!" Aspen padded back over to one of the sofa's, sitting opposite of Linus and Elizabeth. She listened as he asked how the ended up at Northen Star Academy and she opened her mouth to do the explaining, at least for herself. "My sister and I lived apart as we grew up due to the fact that our parents spilt apart when we were really young, like around six maybe. I had always hoped to spend more time with her. More so then the once a year visit which wasn't good at all...so I got my dad to send me here to be with Izzy. It took a lot of work, but he eventually gave in." Aspen giggled, a smile playing on her face that was directed at her sister. She was referring to her sly act of compulsion on her father which was the only reason he allowed her to attend. Not that he would ever find out.
Elizabeth eyes darted towards Linus as she watched him sit down next to her. She giggled to herself and thought, so he's not so shy anymore huh? He then asked her why her and her sister ended up at the Northern Star Academy, and Izzy was about to answer but Aspen beat her too it. She rolled her eyes at Aspen's last comment about her father eventually giving in. "I highly doubt that," She mumbled to herself, giving out a little laugh. Once Aspen was done answering Linus' question, she sat up and was about to speak, but in the kitchen the pot began to shake and bubble. "Uuuh Aspen, is that our macaroni burning..?" She asked shaking her head. Just like mom, no matter how much they saw they can cook, they're always burning things, she thought smiling a little. Izzy then turned her attention back to Linus. "Anyway, long story short, the only reason I came here was to get away from my mom," She told Linus, nudging him in the arm. "You know how Siren mothers are, so demanding," She told him, with a smile.
