This weeks theme is a love spell. This is probably the most often published type of spell. It is also often the most dangerous type of spell to cast because of the many different ways a love spell can be written and developed. So please be careful.

That and working four days straight (12 hour shifts). I've been coming home and passing out most evenings. Thankfully thursday and friday are days off so I'll have time to leaf through my library.

Vox_Draconis That and working four days straight (12 hour shifts). I've been coming home and passing out most evenings. Thankfully thursday and friday are days off so I'll have time to leaf through my library. Ouch. Long hours. I hope that the pay and the work is worth that much time working. Thursday I have appointments and need to bottle and bag incense and herbs. Friday is last check for everything I need and Saturday my business opens...I've been working very hard to get everything done that I can. I found a few that I am thinking about using for this, but some of them are just rather bizarre.

Vox_Draconis Minimum wage sad it sucks but it's better than nought. Depends on your situation. For me none of them available were worth the other issues that were developing. Vox_Draconis Oh awesome, good luck with opening day! Thanks. Still have a lot of work to get done. I'm actually heading back to finish my incense crafting before calling it a night. My business cards actually came in today. Vox_Draconis I found the best love spells were the ones I wrote myself , but I can't really use those as they've not been published. No but you can always share them elsewhere. Love spells really should be individualized any way. Vox_Draconis How bizarre are we talking? I dont know exactly what it was, but they are just odd.

Why types of spells should or shouldn't be cast isn't the purpose of this project. The purpose of this project is to learn to rewrite spells and in doing so understand spell dynamics.

The purpose of this project is to learn to rewrite spells and in doing so understand spell dynamics. Well, yeah. But if you're going to understand the dynamics of the spell. That also includes the functions. Love spells can affect free will and can change people's passions. Or, get reversed on you and affect you instead. Like, say you projective empathy lust and desire onto someone. If they are aware of the trick and send it back to you and it sticks to you. Suddenly you're stuck with a ton of emotions to sort out and it can really mess with your head. Some of these things can be done accidentally if you don't understand the dynamics in how things can go wrong with a love spell. If you're going to understand the dynamics of a spell, it helps to be somewhat aware of the various things that could happen should the spell go awry.

Spell Name: To Find A New Lover
Spell Author: Pamela Ball

Spell information:
You will Need:
A heart shaped rose petal or a red heart cut out of paper
A clean sheet of white paper or card
A new pen
A new candle
A new envelope
Method
On the day of the new moon, take your rose petal or cut a red heart out of paper. Take the clean sheet of paper and write on it with the pen.
As this heart shines in candlelight, I draw you to me tonight.
Bathe and change into nightclothes. When ready, light the candle and read the spell out loud. Hold the heart in front of the flame and let he candlelight shine on it.
Place the heart and the spell in the envelope. Seal it with wax from the candle.
Conceal the envelope and leave it untouched for one cycle of the moon. By the time the moon is new again, there should be a new love in your life.

Variant One: The Last Rose of Summer
Items Needed:Pink Silk Square (Or a plain pink or white handkerchief if you don't have one) A Rose (red or pink ideally) Secateurs Patience This works best if you actually have a rose bush growing in your garden, you need to wait out the summer and wait until the rose bush has it's last bud on it waiting to flower. On the day the bud begins to open, carefully cut the rose from the bush and thank the rose bush for the flower. Take the newly cut rose and wrap it up in the silk square. As you wrap the rose up in the silk visualise love blooming in your life. Once the rose is securely wrapped up store it somewhere dry and out of sight. By the end of the following summer there should be love in your life. Once love has bloomed in your life take the rose back out to the shrub you cut it from and bury it at the base, be sure to thank the bush again.
