Xander: *rubbing his head against a tree trunk, trying to itch the base of his itchy antler/horn, but just can't seem to reach* Ooooh... so itchy! *whiiiine* Itchy itch itch itch...! Vittoria: *had been out on her walk when coming upon a strange looking creature nudging against a tree. Ears pricking up with interest, the doe trotted over to the other's side, tilting her head curiously as she inspected his form* Ahh! You are quite a fine specimen! What a dashing pelt you have there, my fine friend! How is it that you have come to be made up of so many different shades and patterns? Were your mother and father as you are, or were they perhaps biologists and magicians? Haha! So curious! *stepping back for a moment, she noticed that he seemed to be scratching his single horn on the tree in an attempt to scratch an itch* Oh dear, I seemed to have missed your misfortune! Tilt your head down here, kind gent. I will get that for you. Xander looked up from his plight with eyes glistening from the unshed tears of his frustration. He did not pause for even a moment to assess this stranger before he cried out in delight at her offer and dropped his head without hesitation. "Oh frabjous day! My dear hind please do what you can to rid me of this terrible ITCH!" he exclaimed with as much gusto as he could manage. There would be time for pleasantries later, now was the time for scratching...

"Oh, you poor thing." Vittoria's ears flattened a bit when she saw the utter frustration that came with his pain, hurrying to lean up and n** at the delicate pelt around the base of Xander's single antler, making sure to reach every space that she could. Though she had no horns of her own that needed an itch, she had known many others that had experienced the same irritation and knew very well that it could go on for quite awhile-- Especially while a herla was still growing.
When all she could do was done, she tilted her head, her ears flicking upward with hope that she had at least assisted him a little bit. "Did I manage to reach it? Or will you need me to continue? I can spend the entire day with you to assist you if it is so required of me. I do not wish to ever see such a look on someone's face without being able to help. ... Ah. My name is Vittoria, by the way. But it is just a name. You may call me whatever you wish."

Xander mumbled ecstatically as Vittoria attacked the itch around his horn, unable to mask his happiness and contentment as she banished the uncomfortable sensation. He hadn't had an itch like that in AGES. Perhaps the weather was changing? As she finished, Xander began to purr in his contentment and leaned forward to place a quick lick on her nose. "Vittoria! A fabulous name for a fabulous lady... queen of scratching if I do say so myself! And such a kind soul... please do spend the entire day with me! Perhaps not for skritches, but fun! I like fun, do you like fun?"
The frankenherla beamed happily at the thought of having made a new friend. Pausing only for a moment to itch his front leg with his back hoof, Xander spun around and began to scan the area. "I am looking for a beautiful butterfly- two to be precise. One looks like this..." he said and pointed to the monarch pattern on his back leg, "and the other looks like this..." he said and pointed to Vittoria with a goofy grin. Silly and excitable, Xander knew his high energy-levels usually annoyed others, but the hind seemed so much like his other friend, Echo, that he knew she would find him fun! Or, so he hoped...

Eyes widening and ears perking at the lick to her nose, Vittoria smiled, more than glad to receive such a sweet thank you. It almost made her want to return the favour, but before she could think about it any further, the buck was speaking again. The queen of scratching, huh? That wasn't such a bad title. An appreciative one, at least! When invited to spend the rest of the day with Xander for fun, her mood soared with excitement, so glad to have met someone that was both entertaining and kind beyond words for a first meeting like this.
"Well, of course I do like fun, my good friend!" Listening intently to the herla's items of search, Vittoria actually missed the fact that he had made a joke about finding a butterfly that looked like her. "Mm... I do believe that the danaus plexippus resides in the heavily flowered areas where the wind is gentle so that they may eat and breed... But I do not know of a butterfly that appears as myself!" Turning in a circle, the doe blinked before stopping, letting out a burst of laughter upon finally understanding that Xander had been joking. "Oh dear, excuse me for being particularly dim-witted at the moment! I am just so intrigued by finding new creatures that I was terribly mistaken!"
