I do hookah magic. Think about it. enchant the hookah/coal/bowl/shisha/water etc... etc... the smoke that comes out of the hookah is a manifestion of that energy that gets EVERYWHERE. Turned the room partially astrally sensitive once by hotboxing my room with hookah smoke once. It can also be used to influence and control people smoking from your hookah. Just be aware if their willpower exceeds yours it may not be as effective... And, that being the case. If someone's energy can overpower yours. They may be able to sense something off with the hookah and instinctively reverse it on you... Speculation. But, food for thought.

Anyways, purple, color of crown chakra, and passion. I tied a charm I made for Master a while back ago onto the hose. Then under the fluffy part of the handle I put two small pieces of rose quartz and a shark tooth from hawaii that my mom sent me. So every puff I am reminded of master and drawn closer to him. And... It just makes me hookah hose on the family hookah look really really cool. :3

You don't have to get complex to have magic be effective. A ton of simple magic hidden around the house can be as potent and useful as a few big spells if done right. If something has various uses. Why not use all the tools at your disposal?

Anyways, that's all I've got for ya tonight.

Oh, and I am a water sign. So, the shark tooth caters to that as well as cutting through to the truth of the matter so I can face it so I don't hide from my thoughts and feelings and repress.

Symbols (Zodiac) Energies of the earth (Rose Quartz) Subconscious assocation (Reminded of him every puff) With a bit of an extra charge from the charm tied to the hose. Those are really the only concepts I used. I didn't need to cast a circle or anything, I just did it and I can already feel it working.

I hope this post helps to simplify things for some people.

What about through a glass pipe or a bubbler? Any ideas for working effective smoking magic that way? Do you think herbal properties have anything to do with why that spell was effective?

It wasn't a spell. I just took items with energies and placed them onto something I handle regularly. You don't need a spell to affect change around you. Only will and sometimes some focus tools. Or, a subconscious reminder and for it to be in your domain.

Glass could hold energy, so yes. Just put energy into it, dedicate the pipe or bubbler to whatcha want and have fun. smile

Shisha is actually tobacoo so I am not sure where you got the herbal from. But, what can I say? The4re are fu2n herb0s out there. Hehe

Some people believe that any and all magical actions are spells so in that regard this could be seen as a spell.

Tobacco is an herb. Its actually listed in many magical herbal books. Its often noted as a toxic herb and often suggested to work with other herbs instead. So in that respect if you look up the spiritual properties of tobacco it might be something to consider. Though I'm not sure if your work includes associations with herbal properties and stone/crystal properties or not.

I have used a pipe in ritual before. I actually have a pipe I use just for ritual that typically include a smoke blend that I created. Its been used for psychic insight and connection with deities. I often use it as an aid in spiritual work but hadn't considered using herbal smokes and the smoke of herbs in the way you described here. For me the smoke has been sending it out into the universe not necessarily filling the room with the essence.

This has defiantly given me something to think about.

Itcan be. However it can also be the most potenet as you are fully devoted to the moment and the magical practices at that moment in time. The most powerful incense blend I have was created in one of those moments when I knew I had to do a healing ritual. I was asked to do something but had no idea what to do. Then I suddenly and spontaneously knew exactly what to do and when.

In some ways I wonder if incense burning would have the same effect as the hookah with that the smoke filled the room with the essence of the plant. In this case it would be the spiritual and magical aspects associated with the herbs in the incense blends. Incense is powerful. I've never questioned the power of various incenses and how they have had an effect on my magical practices.

The example above about a spontaneous magical action was the creation of the healing incense that I use to this day. It remains extremely powerful even without the original incense emotional state that the first recipe was written in.
