Chapter One: The Legacy Initiative
[*This story takes part in the Void Earth Continuity created by Uchiha Roxas, this takes place after the Prologue. Credit for the Legacy Stories go to the writers and RPers who created them. Thank you for your effort guys.]
Alone in the Batcave, Bruce Wayne stood looking towards the glowing computer screen with a grimace, upon it was a map covered in red dots followed by red numbers that looked like times. He had no idea why but right now, Batman was the last Superhero on the planet. His friends and allies had all vanished, they hadn’t been taken or abandoned him but they’d literally faded from existence. He’d seen it happen before his very eyes as d**k Grayson became a sort of phantasm and eventually disappeared into the ether with not so much as a sound, the same thing must have happened to Tim Drake too because nothing would get through to him. Even Ace, the Bathound, was nowhere to be found and this meant that Bruce was a ticking time bomb and he needed to do something fast.
Pinpointing the phenomenon’s origins to when The Flash came back from the alternate Timeline, Bruce looked at the letter Barry had given him from his Father, it wasn’t like when he’d first received it; when tears of both joy and sadness had lined the Dark Knight’s cheeks for the first time in years, now it was just painful to look at, a memory of two very important people who he’d never see again. Barry was gone: He was one of the first to go and his Father had died in Crime Alley all those years ago. Bruce was all that was left, even Clark was gone and there was no way that Bruce could do it all by himself; he may have been the world’s greatest tactician but he wasn’t a miracle worker, he wasn’t God and it was beginning to get to him. All seemed hopeless as he stared at the numbers, the dates, and the dots and tried to piece together whatever it was that was causing this. It was already causing the world to fall apart as many criminals and villains took advantage of their heroless cities; Metropolis had become a bloodbath, Atlantis was in disarray and even Themyscira’s Amazons had no real idea what to do. The world was becoming somewhat feral, forming bands and groups within itself and shutting off outsiders. He’d managed to keep Gotham from that Fate but for how long? How long could he possibly hope to hold out before everything came crashing down on top of him?
For the first time in a while, Bruce, no, the Batman was scared and unsure of what to do.
It was in this moment, when all hope had seemed lost that he remembered that he had one final tactic; one final contingency plan that could save everything but it was risky. He had deduced that whatever was going on had something to do with the time stream Barry had altered when he had tried to save his Mother when he was younger and therefore knew the cure was also in the time stream. Smashing the keys on his computer, Bruce found what he was looking for in seconds and smiled to himself. It was finally time. Opening the final entitled ‘The Legacy Initiative’ Bruce activated the Zeta tubes within the Batcave, the Fortress of Solitude and the Watchtower in order to take full advantage of their powers. With them, he could edit the space/time around him to produce anomalies within the timeline. Once done, the fight was no longer his to worry about but he had faith in his plan… A plan he’d drawn up after the Crisis of Infinite Earths and he’d realised how fragile reality was. He was truly the World’s Greatest Tactician.
Even though the process would accelerate his own removal from the time stream, Bruce’s sacrifice had saved everyone…
Along the timeline, all over the Galaxy of Void Earth, the Zetatubes energy caused rifts and tremors like you wouldn’t believe. Some civilizations thought that it was the end of days whilst others knew that it was just the beginning. The Universe was healing itself, the Legacies that Bruce had activated were physical, real people whom thanks to anomalies within the time stream were now destined for greatness. They remembered the Justice League, they had powers and abilities similar to its old members and they now had a destiny to fulfil. The Legacy Initiative was Void Earth’s last chance at survival. They would bring order to the chaos and once again the world would know Justice…

The Legacy of Green Arrow As Envisioned by Groganofthewasteland
He was a man who prowls the rooftops at night, dispatching criminals and ne'er do wells with a combination of old world archery and technology in a seamless whole. But the man beneath the high tech goggles was not the same Green Arrow that was known around the world. This man was different. He was the man who took over for the original when he suddenly disappeared, along with every other known hero. His story of how he picked up the bow started around the same time that the original Green Arrow put down his.
-Two years ago-
It seemed like a Saturday morning cartoon plot when he first heard of it. Rumors of an organization that was planning to destroy Star City by way of ripping it in half with a device meant to start earthquakes. But the more Oliver Queen dug into the plot, the more he realized that even though it sounded far-fetched, they had the money, influence, and technology to make it work. All his work to discover the inner working of the organization paid off and he was able to track them down to their own headquarters.
Dispatching the guards was easy for him. The one constant thing he learned about villains and their minions: many of them don't really pay attention to their surroundings, so he didn't even have to dispatch them, simply sneaking by them as they did their routine patrols. He had stolen a map to the headquarters from one of the many higher ups of the Organization during his investigation, and so finding the room where this magical doomsday device was a piece of cake.
Indeed there was the Earthquake device as he was told. Though it seemed to be less awe inspiring as the people he captured kept saying it was. Immediately, he worked to shut the thing down, but something about this didn't seem right. It seemed almost too easy. And his gut instinct was correct. A black arrow landed right at his feet and he immediately turned around, bow ready to go and aimed where he thought the arrow came from. Brow furrowed, he immediately figured two things: the other guy is really good at keeping out of sight and likely has training from the League of Assassins, and he's a skilled archer like Queen.
"Alright wise guy, come on out, I know you're here," said the Green Arrow, "I've already stopped your plan to destroy the city, there's nowhere to go. Police will be here soon and they will find out who you are. Your whole plan is finished, so you can either turn yourself in or get put down, capiche?"
"Good work, Arrow," answered the other archer, landing twenty feet away from Oliver. Dressed all in black, and his face obscured except for his eyes, Oliver had no clue who this man was. Even his voice seems to be modified by a voice changer, so he couldn't tell who the man was by facial or voice recognition. But Oliver could tell that even if he was a part of this plot, he didn't seem too phased by the fact that his city destroying device and his plans had been shut down. Maybe he plans to kill Green Arrow and retriggering the device?
"You managed to worm your way into my scheme, infiltrate my headquarters, and shut down my plan before I can even complete it. The rumors about you were true after all. I see you are pretty confident that you have fully stopped my plans to bring about a new Star City. Is that what you think?"
Oliver gave a smirk before he answered that question, "Yeah, I kind of think I did. Earthquake machine shutdown, guards disabled, several of your fellow conspirators are either in jail or standing trial and a squad of Police cars is on the way to apprehend the rest. I consider this checkmate. So you can put your hands behind your hands and wait for them to arrive, or I can make you, your choice."
Silence fell between the two, and when he thought the black clad archer was about to do something stupid, he fired. Luckily it wasn't a lethal shot, but he was surprised when he found his arrow to be caught by the other man. And then he laughed a little, and Oliver knew something definitely wasn't right, especially when the man pulled out a remote, "Well you are wrong, Arrow. For one thing I learned from business: redundancy."
Oliver saw this was not going well, and at least wanting to take him down before he turned on the remote, Oliver took aim at his arm and was about to shoot. But something strange happened, for a flash of light blinding the black clad archer for a moment, and suddenly, Oliver Queen was gone. And nothing was stopping this man from executing his plan..........
And this is the view of the once vibrant Star City, now torn apart from what officials say was an earthquake magnitudes off the scale. The death toll is rising and the Governor has even called it the worst disaster to have befallen the state. Estimates on the total damage is still unclear, but one thing is for sure: Star City is now a ghost town and will remain virtually inhabitable for many years to come. This is Amanda Shultz reporting, now back to you in the Studio.
In other news the famous Billionaire and Head of Queen Industries, Oliver Queen, has been reported missing in the wake of the tragedy that had befallen Star City. The former mayor and philanthropist was last seen at his home, several hours before the quakes that tore the city apart.
Jonathan turned off the TV and set the remote aside, both hands now resting on his face. The news of Oliver Queen being missing hit him hard. Not only because of potential financial issues but because he was beginning to have a pretty good relationship with the former Mayor over many business meetings and dinners. With a deep breath, Jonathan resigned himself to the fact that Oliver just might be dead. After all, the earthquake that tore up Star City was strong enough to wake him up in Coast City.
Jonathan decided to go fix himself something to eat, and after a half an hour, he came back out with a bowl of tuna noodle casserole in hand. Passing by his front door, he noticed a package that wasn't there before. It wasn't labeled with a return address, only said 'Open when you are alone', Well Jonathan was already alone, so that part of the message has already been completed. He picked it up off the floor and went to his living room again, setting his bowl aside and opening the package. Inside was a map. A map? Why was he getting a map? Opening the map up, he looked it over before setting it aside and picking up his bowl of casserole. What is this map for? Why was he getting this? These last couple of days have been pretty strange. He needed time to figure things out, figure out what to do about all this.
After he finished the bowl and flipped on the TV, he realized every channel was the same news. Attacks by villain now running amok, no Justice League in sight, panic, chaos, disorder. The entire world was going mad. He looked at the TV again, then looked at the map before he turned it off and picked it up. Apparently he was going driving tonight.
It was a long drive, at least several hours and the map was leading him to a place far from civilization. The more he followed it, the more suspicious he was about where he was being led to. Nobody gives a map to a place far from civilization unless he was either setting the person up for a trap or revealing a secret. When he did get to the place where the map was supposed to lead him to, he wasn't surprised to find out that it was a cliff facing. Getting out of his car, he stepped up to the sheer cliff and looked around. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary.
"So why lead me here?" he asked, feeling the rough rock until he felt part of it give way. A hidden pressure plate, that slowly sank into the rock. He then saw the rock facing part, and he had to step back a bit in awe. Well then, maybe the map was leading him somewhere. And from the look of things as he went inside, it looked like a hidden bunker. The deeper he delved into it, the more he was enlightened to what was inside. Bows, arrows, some of them technologically advanced, and right in the middle of it was a costume he knew all too well. Worn by one particular hero, and his personal hero, Green Arrow. So he just found the Green Arrow's hidden lair. Led to it by a random map.
The lights went on as he stepped up to the costume, and then a TV monitor came down from the ceiling and turned itself on, revealing a face that he was most familiar with: Oliver Queen.
If you are hearing this, then that means I am either dead or gone. But my number was almost up anyway. As I am sure you are aware by now, I am the Green Arrow. I have been the Green Arrow for a long time and have been in many teams, one in particular you should know as the Justice League. But we are disappearing one by one, as you have been watching on the news. There needs to be heroes, more than ever. But I cannot pass on my Legacy to anyone I know, as they too are already gone or dead. So that's where you come in, Jonathan Price. I need you to take up my bow in my stead.
Jonathan's eyes widened as he realized just what he just heard. He, a man who Oliver only met through business meetings and dinners, was being trusted to carry on his greatest secret: of being a vilgilante? That was a lot to take in. His favorite hero was someone he met not too long ago, and this was one of his secret lairs. But should he take up the bow that Oliver was forced to put down, risking his own company and people he loved?
The decision was easy. He would do it. He would be the new Green Arrow. Not only for the sake of a world that was tearing itself apart, but to honor the memory of a man he now knows was his idol.

The Legacy of Wonder Woman
Wonder Woman had vanished from existence, and had it not been for the Divine Protection of the Gods, the Amazons would have forgotten their princess. The Lasso of Truth was all that remained of their finest warrior, and after Hermes retrieved the lasso and brought it back to Paradise Island, it was placed within a new temple. One to Diana, their only Princess. Outraged by what must of been the actions of Man's World, the Amazons locked their borders and threatened to kill any who even got remotely close to their safe island. No longer would they try and reason with the men who made their Princess disappear. However, with Wonder Woman gone, the balance of the world was threatening to tip in Chaos' favor. In order to prevent this from happening Zeus proposed an idea to his wife that involved the two of them creating a child together through the same divine clay that created Diana. Although skeptical at first, Hera was overcome with joy at the simple fact that her husband would finally create another child with her. Unfortunately, in order for the boy to actually live, they would need the essence of a mortal woman, and so, Hippolyta was once again chosen to sculpt a body from clay. Life was breathed into the clay figure, and the small boy was born. Upon his creation, the Gods of Olympus each bestowed upon him, a special blessing that would help in his fight to maintain the balance of the world. The boy was to be called Damian, meaning to tame or to subdue in Greek, as the boy would pick up Diana's mantle and subdue chaos itself.
Enraged by the fact that a mortal woman's essence was within the boy she wished to create with Zeus, Hera threatened to destroy the boy without hesitation the instant his eyes opened. In response to the threat from his wife, the Father of the Gods threatened to destroy Themyscira altogether should that happen, and with nothing more to say on the matter, Hera remained silent. The Amazons were not as silent, and were willing to kill the boy just like Hera had said. As such, in order to prevent a war between her people, Queen Hippolyta granted the boy a small pardon that would keep him alive for the time being, but force him to undergo harsh training that would more than likely cause him to die during the exercises, or commit suicide because of his worse living conditions. He was put within a cell on Reformation Island, and was given minimal amounts of food when he became six years of age. As just a boy, Damian found nothing wrong with his living space, because despite how small the cell was, the animals that resided on the island always came to visit him, and when Hippolyta would come to train him, he could name each animal once he was allowed outside. Damian was told of his birth and why he had been created, and even upon being told so, he bore no ill will to the Amazons who wished to see him dead. Within his cell at night, the Messenger of the Gods would often play little games with Damian in order to keep the boy occupied and not completely alone. Along with playing games with Damian, Hermes also brought food and clean clothing for him to wear because of how he felt for his little brother. Not to mention, it was a chance to spite Hera, who had it out for all children of Zeus not brought on by her.
While Damian slept on Hermes' lap, Hippolyta re-entered the cell with a sword in hand in order to train the child, but immediately dropped to a knee in order to bow in reverence to the Messenger of the Gods. "This boy is destined for great things, but I don't approve of the treatment my little brother is receiving here. Apollo told me I'm not supposed to tell you, but I'll deal with the punishment later. The War God is going to be upon you in time, and if this child is not ready, your island and your people, will die." With that, Hermes disappeared in a cloud of smoke leaving Damian's care to Hippolyta. When Damian awoke, training began anew, although this time, on the main island of Themyscira. The Amazons were once again outraged by both the fact that the child had not perished, but also because he was stepping on their sacred ground. In an attempt to calm her people down, Hippolyta prepared to make another agreement before she was interrupted by Damian. "You despise my existence because of a male who is not me. In order for you to leave me alone, I offer you a simple deal. I will fight your best fighter, and should I loose, I will take my life. If I win you will accept me into your society, and as one of the family." Enraged by such a challenge, the Amazons prepared to rush him with their weapons before they were stopped by Artemis.
Artemis had fought Diana on countless occasions, and if the boy was truly created to take up her sister's fight, then she would judge the boy for herself. As she handed Damian a blade, the two bowed respectfully towards one another before their fight began. Artemis' blows were strong and each one possessed the intent to kill, but even with such force, they were repelled before being countered with strength of his own. In what seemed like a stroke of luck, Damian swung his sword down and then upwards, causing Artemis' sword to ring loudly before being knocked out of her hands. Pointing the blade to her throat, he spoke loudly enough for the gathered Amazons to here. "Submit." With a small smile of approval, Artemis took a knee, and bowed in honor to whom she had called, "her prince". With their greatest warrior defeated, the Amazons followed her lead before bowing as well. Offering a hand to his sister, the warrior was back on her feet, and before she could commend the boy on his swordplay, his small arms wrapped around her in a tight hug. Time passed slowly on the island, and it was not until one morning, that things changed. Like Hermes had foretold the War God appeared in the center of the island and spoke of an upcoming attack on the island that would be led by him, and without much details, he disappeared. The declaration of war on Theymscira had been unprovoked, but Ares deemed it as a test to see whether or not the Amazons deserved to live eternally on Paradise Island without Diana. The Amazons were given a week to prepare for War, before the War God himself would appear on the water with his army from Hell and a special guest.
By this time, Damian had finally turned sixteen, and even sixteen years of his life of on the island was not enough to get his sisters to fully trust in his abilities. This was only because of Hercules who had committed several offenses against the Amazons, and as the next male on the island, they immediately placed blamed on him for what they believed he would do. In their training, they were still trying to defeat him, but more in a mortally wounding fashion, as opposed to just killing him. However, with war approaching, the Amazons merely pushed him to the side to prepare for "more important things". In order to spite his elder brother Ares, the God of the Forge Hephaestus created yet another magical armor, this time intended for the only male of Themyscira. Plenty of the Amazons began to riot in fury of why they had not been gifted with the armor, but Hippolyta defended Damian, stating that he was the best one for the armor because he bore no hatred towards the Amazons. Even after the torture they put him through, he never once raised his fists against them, and after this declaration by Hippolyta, the Amazons quelled their dark thoughts about the boy, but not before demanding a test of him. As such, Damian was brought before a magical fire that would carbonize anything touched by deception in order to prove his innocence. Given how long she had been around Damian, Hippolyta had come to think of him as her true son, and was desperately trying to convince him to stop what he was doing, but he would not fault the Amazons for that which they wanted him to do.
Jumping into the flames as Artemis held Hippolyta back and away from the boy, all on the island watched in awe as nothing happened. Members of the Amazon race began laughing, some cried a little, and others could care less, but as a shadow-like figure took form within the flames, Damian lept outwards from the flames before landing on the ground. He was covered in slight burns, but nothing to serious, and as the Amazons now began stepping backwards in fear, he spoke up."I promise you all, I will not waste the opportunity you have given me." As the week came to a close, the Amazons began to pray to the female Gods of Olympus asking that they send help because they doubted Damian's abilities, and as the Goddesses heard their prayer, Zeus forbid them from answering. All of this was merely because Ares had spoken of bring Hercules with him as well. Damian was brought within Queen Hippolyta's castle, and as his mother and sisters helped properly fit the armor onto his body, he looked at it twice before smiling. Indeed, there was a war coming up, but he finally felt like a part of the family, and to wear the royal symbol was only a bigger testament to his family. After making sure his armor was on properly and fit well, Damian seemingly disappeared from the island, but had gone into the temple of Hera to pray for help.
"I know you dislike my existence, but I could not control the series of events that lead up to my birth. However, I wish to save these women in any way possible from my brother. Please, Hera, give me the strength to fight." Bowing down on bended knee, he sat quietly in the middle of the room. There were no temples to any of the male Gods, or that of his Father, so he had to make due with praying to the woman who hated him the most in the world. A loud trumpet resounded throughout the island as a warning for the approaching battle. "I will not loose this fight, nor will I forsake my sisters." Before he could move to go back outside, Hippolyta, his foster mother, had come to find him. "My dear child, the time is upon us, and no matter what anyone says, I have put my faith in you not simply because you've been gifted with the armor of the gods, but because you are my child and I trust your abilities."
A smile appeared on the woman's features as she wrapped her arms around the boy in a loving embrace. To that, Damian ran out of the temple before flying to the shore where the Amazons had lined up to fight. "Be careful my child. You are the only one on the island with enough strength to go up against Hercules." The Denizens of Hell stood waiting within the shallow parts of the water and would not step foot on the Island until given the order by their master. Both Ares and Hercules were present, although Ares was sitting in a chair which floated above the waters. Hercules however, was at the front of the army ready to crush those who stood in his way. Ares had offered the Demigod a chance at removing some of his necessary labors so long as he helped to test the Amazons. All on the Island knew of the rivalry between Ares and Athena, and as such, to sound their charge, they all shouted in unison. "For Athena!" As the armies rushed at each other, screams and screeches resounded through the area as Wonder Boy, Ares, and Hercules took to the air above the fighting. "My dear little brother, you fight on the wrong side, and even wear the armor created by that wretched Hephaestus. But, I am willing to forgive you if you join me and my cause. I promise you that you will keep your armor and your abilities, if only you say the words. Do you really want those who tried to kill you as a baby to continue living?" To this Hercules nodded his head and crossed his arms over his chest. Damian's facial feature remained neutral as he began to crack his knuckles. He had sworn to fight for the Amazons, and that was what he intended to do.
"Your facial expression is the same as Hippolyta's but it seems you've chosen death. To think you would challenge one who gifted you with the powers you possess." True indeed, Ares had gifted him with his great durability, but at this point, he was willing to forfeit his blessing in order to fight the War God. When he prepared to speak, Hercules' fists had slammed directly into his chest while he took hold of Damian's shoulders. The two went flying over the battlefield before they crashed into one of the temple-styled buildings on the island. "Do not fault me for my actions, Damian. I merely try and lessen the labors I must perform, and if this is the way to do so, then I will do so without regret." As he spoke, Hercules lifted Damian by his throat before proceeding to slam his body into the ground, creating a large crater in the ground as he did so. It seemed as though he was going to die just from being crushed into the ground repeatedly, but his saving grace came in the form of his foster mother. Hippolyta had taken hold of Hercules' arm, and in one swift move, flipped the male over her own shoulder and into the ground. Angered by this action, Hercules took hold of Hippolyta's ankle and held her upside down threatening to touch her once more (as he had done long ago), only to have Damian's lariat wrap around his wrist.
Twirling his foot around the lariat itself, he slammed his foot down onto the end of it, causing Hercules to fall face first into the ground. Without giving the male a chance to retaliate, his grip tightened on the lariat before he lunged backwards with it, causing Hercules' body to fly at him. With a swift punch to the male's stomach, Hercules went flying out of the temple and high into the air. That would not hold the former hero back for very long, so in the short time provided, he rushed to his mother's side. "Mother! Are you alright?" To this Hippolyta merely pointed to Hercules who was now trying to fly back through the hole in the temple to get him. Nodding his head, he ran outside of the temple and began to fly in the opposite direction with Hercules chasing after him. "Remember your training my child. You are fighting the greatest hero. Some form of help should be here shortly.." The Amazons and the Denizens of Hell were locked in a stalemate, and as he landed behind a pillar, he clenched tightly and watched as Hercules shot past him headed for the shore. Wrapping his hands around one of the broken columns on the ground, he hefted it up and onto his shoulder before flying towards the shore only to see Hercules holding up one of the Amazons with a spear to her chest as if about to stab her. Thankfully, before he could hit her, the pillar struck him in the side, sending him flying into the ocean. After seeing Damian save one of their sisters, the amazons were endowed with a new found courage and confidence. "For Athena!" cried out the Amazons as Damian flew over the ocean to confront Ares.
"Your quite a sigh, little brother, but the games end now. I had hoped to watch the destruction of the Amazons quietly, but you have forced my hand." Putting his hands into a defensive position, he had not expected Ares to actual stand up to fight him, and when he realized the War God was serious, it was too late. Though he had blocked with his bracelets, Ares' punch was enough to send him crashing into the ground, and even through his bracelets, his arms stung viciously. The Amazons had finally finished destroying the denizens of hell, but when Ares entered the battle, they began to charge at him, only to be thrown to the ground, or each other with great force. "Sisters! You must stop...Take cover behind the buildings. Do not come out until the noise stops!" Although hesitant, the Amazons were quick to help each other behind buildings for safety as Damian wobbled up and onto his feet. Ares who had now taken his cape off, landed on the ground and put his hands up only to have Hercules join him in the same position. It was two on one, and he doubted he could win. In fact, he knew he could not win, but he would put up one hell of a fight before staying down permanently. Running at the two males, he threw a barrage of punches towards Ares' body, since he had removed his armor to try and make it enjoyable, only to step back and looked at his bruised hands. His hands felt numb and for a moment, Ares merely laughed before tilting his head at Damian, as if questioning what he thought would happen by hitting him. To this, a mighty kick was delivered, and as his body crashed into the ground, Ares was at his side immediately sending yet another fist towards his ribs.
Tossing his lariat forwards, it wrapped itself around the War God's wrist, and after slamming his foot hard into the ground in order to make himself stable, he pulled hard to the side, dragging Ares' body through the air and directly into Hercules who was ready to charge him. The two males formed a crater within the ground as they crashed, but as he flew above the crater to check and see whether or not he had actually taken one of them down, his eyes widened at the sight of two figures slowly standing up from within the crater and large smoke cloud. When he prepared to descend in order to continue his attack, a hard tug on the lariat brought him spiraling downwards at a rapid speed, and while Hercules and Ares leaned back with their fists clenched, he brought his hands up in front of his face in order to block as quickly as possible. Still it was not enough to even remotely take away the force coming behind the two punches aimed at him. Crashing through the walls of various buildings, his shoes began to skid across the ground as he stopped himself. He no longer had his lasso, which meant it was more than likely going to be used as a weapon against him, but as the two males charged towards him, he could not see his lasso on either male. However, he could not worry about that at the moment a he put his hands up to block a punch from Hercules which hurt just as much as Ares' punch. Blows were exchanged between the males, but because he was not as experienced of a fighter as Hercules or the War God himself, all he could do was block and occasionally counter. Four hours of fighting ensued, and the more hits he received, the slower his ability to react had become. To make matters worse, the Amazons had begun to cry in horror at the physical torment his body was receiving just so they did not get attacked, but when he could no longer take anymore, Damian's body crashed into the ground. Hercules had suffered multiple broken ribs, along with a sprained ankle, while Ares merely suffered broken ribs.
Using the Lariat of Truth, Ares tied Damian's arms together behind his back and hung him from one of the large columns at the shores. Within minutes Aphrodite and Athena had appeared on the island looking to Ares with discontent. "Oh Athena, you missed the show. Our little brother put up quite the fight, although he lost and is probably dead or near-death. But, eh, it happens. Don't worry, I've decided the Amazons can live free from harm because of his actions. Even when given the option of fleeing, he remained and fought me; The War God. He's got quite the spirit, but sadly, its wasted on all of you. Hercules, we've got work to do." With that, Hercules moved to Ares' side before the two disappeared in a burst of flames. Just as they had been told, the Amazons came out from their positions when the noises stopped only to see Damian's body tied up. As Damian's body was lowered with the help of the Amazons, Hippolyta only stared in disbelief as they removed her son's armor. His chest was badly bruised, and his hands were covered in marks. He had sustained multiple cracked ribs, as well as some broken bones, but the Amazons stated that he fought on as though nothing bothered him. The area where the Bracelets once remained, were heated greatly by the flames of Ares' punches and given how limp his arms appeared when held, it could only be assumed that they were broken. Athena said nothing, as she lifted the boy into her arms, and with Aphrodite following close behind, they made their way towards the Purple Healing Ray. After placing his body underneath the ray, Athena turned back towards the Amazons before speaking aloud for all to hear. "The Healing Ray will do what mere medical treatment can not. However, given the nature of his injures and the undoubted physical trauma, whether or not he survives depends on him entirely. Leave him be."
Even so, Hipppolyta could not just leave him be, and while the other Amazons retreated to their homes or the temples to pray, she and Artemis remained by Damian's side to await his awakening. It took a full year for his body to heal to a point that Damian could finally pull his eyes open, and as he sat up, the population of Theymscira quickly ran into the room. "Sisters! All hail Prince Damian, son of our Queen!" shouted Artemis before smiling at the drowsy boy. The Amazons began chanting together in harmony before he was escorted to his mother's palace to sit besides her in a throne of his own. A choice would need to be mad, one that would truly help him take up his sister's role in Man's World. The choice to venture off of the island and fight.
