 Uliad twirled a pole as he walked along the camp, trying his best to keep to a straight line as he went. Puffing out a breath, he cocked his head when he thought he heard movement. Something here? Hoping not, he rounded a corner, jabbing when he came face to face with a cursed. HP: 20

 Axel had had so much fun with the last carny he fought, he decided to try and find another. He was rounding a corner to investigate the footsteps he had heard too when he's jabbed in the face by a pole. His head snaps back and blood pours from his nose (dammit not again), but instead of a reaction of pain he just grins at the carny in front of him. "Nice shot," he comments, as he slips his hand in his pocket, and brandishing a pair of brass knuckles, tries to deck Uliad. HP: 17

The cursed's remark just had Uliad's eyes narrowing and his hands tightening on his pole as he moved to dodge only to have his shoulder clipped. He hated this, the thrill of battle never pumped through his veins, only pain from his wounds. He should have stayed in the safety of the carnival. But.... Performing a quick spin, he aimed the pole at the cursed's head. HP: 18

"Aw, come on, frowny face," Axel snarks, dodging enough to just get clipped himself. He licks some of the blood dripping down from his nose off of his face and grins. "The last carny I fought was a lot more fun than you!" He tries again with his brass-knuckled fist, this time aiming an uppercut for Uliad's chin. HP: 15

Uliad quickly moves to duck, sighing in relief when he feels the fist brush through his hair. Remaining in a crouch, he jabs at the cursed's gut with a pole. "I don't fraternize with cursed. HP: 17

"Pshaw, fraternizin' is one thing, enjoyin'a good fight is another!" Axel pivots to avoid the pole this time, and his other hand comes out of the opposite pocket with his butterfly knife, jabbing at his foe's kidney. HP: 14

The flash of silver had Uliad's eyes widening in surprise. He tucked and rolled, the knife cutting into his shirt as he went. Stopping on his side- the rolling really wasn't his thing- he kicked out at the cursed. "This is not fun." HP: 16

Axel growled a little as he missed again, and advanced, only to get kicked hard. Landing on his a**, he is nonetheless quick to get to his feet and tries to tackle the carny and pin him. HP: 10

Axel manages to twist his head aside to avoid that pole, thankfully. "Oh, now you've gone and hurt my feelings..." he comments, before trying to aim his knife at Uliad's side again. HP: 6

Seeing only one option, Uliad bailed from atop the cursed to avoid the knife's edge. Tumbling, he lashed out with a pole jab. HP: 12

As soon as his opponent tumbled off, Axel was already trying to get up. He was on his knees when the pole came at him, he attempted to grab it, and if successful, fling the carnie aside, hopefully into something hard nearby. HP: 5

Uliad tumbled across the ground, his shoulder striking the earth particularly hard, causing it to go numb. Awkwardly, he swung with the pole with one hand, but his control over the weapon was now lacking. HP: 8
