I was personally unwilling for a long time to delve into divination, because I refused to believe that fate was written out in front of us already with no say from ourselves. The idea really bugged me. I now practice though, believing that what I'm doing is reading the wyrd as the Norse did when they read runes. Basically, I think that I'm reading the fate a person made and continues to make: the cause and effects of their actions. In that way, I see it as a great way to come to decisions, realizations, or as a means of looking at a situation in a different light.

However, I'm pretty curious what other people believe as they pull cards and scry in bowls, as well as how they came to that conclusion.
