As the title says, I'm recruiting people to both help out on and join an RP based on the Magic: The Gathering card game. I want to make the RP in such a way that people completely unfamiliar with the game can join, but people familiar with the game and lore will feel comfortable in familiar settings. Discussions about settings and such will also be had here.

I gotta know. ✗✗ I wanna have all of the players be Planeswalkers, since Planeswalkers can't take non-Planeswalkers with them and it would suck to be stuck on one plane because of someone's chara. I wanna have a sort of power-struggle over a mana-rich plane, kinda like with Zendikar, but have a group pulling some dark machinations, luring the players into battling each other while the group gains something from it. I need help, though.

I'll admit that I only started playing during RTR, so if you reference too much of the old stuff, I'll be lost.
But I'm also really good at faking canon knowledge, ahaha. x'D
So are we going to be canon Planeswalkers (because I call dibs on Ral if that's the case) or are we making OCs?
We could go the route of Dragon's Maze where Niv-Mizzet was being obvious and playing some angle, or we could go more the route of something quieter and have the baddies be all SURPRISE.

OC's preferred, although Canon PWs will be accepted too.
If we were using Ravnica as a reference, then it would make more sense to have Lazav behind it all (especially if you read the Secretist novels.)

Well, we don't have to use Ravnica as a reference, I was just basing my ideas in something I'm familiar with.
