Living in the desolate landscapes between colonies, food and clean water were scarce, leaving Genshi with a very sinewy and skeletal appearance. Despite his emaciated form, the young pup is much stronger than his frame lets one and every inch of his frame is wrapped tautly with corded muscle. His body is covered in scars ranging from jagged claw marks to brutal bites marks from his the commencement of his forced exile. As an Inuzuka he retains all of the clans famous abilities and is capable of focusing chakra to his nose to increase the effectiveness of his olfactory sense becoming capable of distinguishing between scents over a large area.
Fatal Flaw: Genshi is impulsive and over protective of his owner, even at the cost of his own physical well being.
PERSONALITY
Likes: Bones, chasing HIS tail. Full moons, other canines, the wind, dog biscuits, balls, frisbees, rolling in dirt, chasing lizards, crickets, grasshoppers, birds, cats. Fresh crisp water lapped up from lakes, scratching his ears with his feet, curling up and bathing in sunlight. Walks, preferably without leashes.
Dislikes: Cats, petty infighting amongst his brethren, pretentious upstarts who think they can be Alpha, baths, leashes, failing to catch lizards, crickets, grasshoppers, birds, cats and getting sprayed in the face with squirt bottles and muzzles.
Hobbies: Hobbies... well let's see there is SQUIRREL!!! What was the question again?
Seeking a hand that will pet him, so long as it is okay for him to do so.
Chasing round objects, small animals and insects... chasing in general.
Fears: Rolled up newspapers, kennels or anything remotely resembling a cage for him. Being muzzled, failing to protect his handler.
Nindo: To keep harm from coming to his handler…. And the complete and utter eradication of cats!
Extra: His mannerisms while collared are much like a canine, he sniffs the hands and butts of most everyone he meets, chases around and snaps at small insects, marks his territory when appropriate and drools on all of his favorite toys. Certain trigger behaviors or actions between humans and himself will instill immediate systematic responses within him of a Pavlov nature. For instance, pointing and shouting usually cause his ears to droop and him to place his head down in shame, waving around an orb like object is bound to cause him to go ape s**t until you throw it, etc.
HISTORY
Birthplace:A modest den within the blighted forest
Location: The Dirge
Birth Date: 21st of August
Family:Formerly his pack, now only his handler.
Kekkei Genkai: Uchigawa no ōkami: When the collar is removed Genshi's true form comes to life, gaining strength, speed and ferocity. Capable of using his crude and animalistic jutsu and acting of the only limited free will he is truly capable of.
Life's story: History of Uchigawa no ōkami: In the time before the catastrophe the human clan of the Inuzuka were the holders of a closely guarded series of techniques devised with their ninken companions in all manner of canine. A dark and twisted individual known as the Otokage, the leader of a great nation of the sound, for reasons unknown began to experiment with a rare an elaborate power known as curse marks. The ranged far and wide, contrasting with a vast array of shinobi in rather volatile outcomes. One of the more successful, or rather, stable outcomes was with an Inuzuka and ninken. The two were granted enhanced power beyond anything their clan had produced before, further heightening their abilities. Coming back to their clan and establishing dominance as the new respective Alphas. As it turned out, the Curse Seal of Divinity was hereditary and passed on from son, daughter and pup alike.
Since the cataclysm, an usual circumstance bred of uncertainty for their future and a dark twisted obsession of companionship, the lines between the clan and their ninken blurred until they were as one. Many years after inbreeding and genetic mutation and drift granted from isolation in the blighted wood of the shinobi world as well as the augmentated environment from the chakra radiation, they younger generations where born with the Uchigawa no ōkami. The new curse seal formed of both the human and ninken counter parts evolved anew creating bizarre canine transformation almost at will, granting them speed, strength and ferocity greater than any wild wolf. It was only the more recent generations learned to harness and control their "rage" as it were and began to slowly establish their numbers.
However, Genshi had the unfortunate circumstance of being born during a Blue moon. Under normal circumstances, the children of the full lunar cycle were often aggressive, leaders of the pack and difficult to control. Mastering their inner beasts was always harder as they spent more time in what they referred to as their "natural" forms. Genshi since birth was born and has remained perpetually in his cursed bestial state, subconsciously utilizing his chakra to further strengthen himself as a child whenever he felt the need to exert dominance over the rest of the younger litter and even some of the immature adults, assuming the mantle of Alpha long before he was ready. Living quite tyrannically, he would punish his pack if they ventured to far outside of his expected standards, often times severely and with a brutality even his pack feared.
Anger blossomed in his clan that soon even his parents could not control, an uprising. The entire pack turned on him in the night as a savage battle ensued leaving him scarred and broken. For the first time in Genshi's life he knew fear and he ran. Running down the pack, he was chased until only his father remained in pursuit. Thinking he could gain the better of his sire he turned on him only to be beaten in strength, speed and intensity. Beating the child that had hurt and weakened the pack so, he was banished and cursed into exile.
For days he wandered in a state of half life, tired, dehydrated and starving while his body diminished in the cursed state; the young pup made it to the outskirts of a shinobi colony, The Dirge. There he encountered a young girl, Fuzen Yamanari. At first the curious girl approached the oddity he must have looked to her, only to be met with the thrashing behavior of an animal staring down the curtains of death. Giving him water, day after day and what little scraps of food she had to offer, the small Inazuka gained strength back. With that strength, came his arrogance and fury and as the old saying goes, "Bite not the hand that feeds you." Lashing out he attacked the young girl, this proved to be the beginning of the proud pups downfall. A traveling market had come into town days before to trade, among them was a collar of power from the time before. In this time, a sealing collar was made to contain the most powerful enemies of the state, sealing their much of their jutsu within as well as their passion for violence.
The collar was placed on him during a visit, and his power was sealed, hidden from view. Distorting his shape and altering his form, it brought out the calm and more human aspect of his being. Creating a timid, shy and very nervous boy. Surprisingly enough he was taken in as a pet of sorts to this young woman, through time, he gained a fondness and adoration for. Only the collar gives him a more or less controlled state, locking the majority of his chakra and much of his power, the majority of his personality and free will and ultimately his savagery.
ROLEPLAY SAMPLE
Wandering through the streets of the Dirge, Genshi walked along side his handler. She was his caretaker, and he was her companion. That was all that really mattered to him. The on lookers never really bothered him, nor did the occasional ruffian or unsavory fellows that would give him odd glances. He was behaving normally after all; walking on all fours as well as wearing his collar and his ripped up cloth that covered his nudity from prying eyes. It felt irritable like burlap, but it could have been something something different. After all dogs do not necessarily need to know these things, they are dogs after all.
After turning down an alley way to start heading back home with Fuzen, the alleyway was cordoned off by two especially bad looking men. Their smell was especially offensive, Genshi did not like them or their ilk at all. The grins on their faces left much to be desired, as they began to speak about something with his handler. Whatever it was, his handler didn't like it, nor did he. But Genshi was so small, and not at all a strong enough companion to protect her, but he would try.
Sauntering over, the thugs began their approach touching themselves obscenely and making vulgar gestures towards Fuzen. Interposing himself between his handler and the men, Genshi began to growl. Sounding more like a child imitating a puppy than anything ferocious. The men stopped to look each other over before laughing horrendously. Fuzen's hands touched the collar and a stillness went through Genshi, the calm before the storm. Two words were uttered with clarity before the collar was removed.
"Sick 'em!"
Their was a deafening roar that sounded like thunder, panicked and horrified screams for mercy and of agony echoed throughout the alley way. After a couple of minutes, Fuzen and Genshi made their way from the alley way alone. Quite proud of the newly acquired bone, Genshi pranced in front of Fuzen as they made their way home....
