x Raised such as he was, Windchill tends to be a little stiff and overly proper when talking, constantly concerned about obeying the correct nuances of interaction with other wolves. In truth, Windchill has a rambunctious and playful side, as well as a fiery passion for exploring and roughhousing, but he keeps it under wraps unless he is with wolves he knows he can relax protocol with.

History:
x Windchill was born the only pup to an aging alpha, in a pack from the southern forest and coastlands. Despite his pack's matriarchal structure, he was treated well and never thought twice about the status quo within the pack. He was raised quite strictly in terms of protocol and hierarchy, but otherwise he and his age mates were permitted to run wild and explore as he wished, always under the eye of a protective pack.
x However, as he grew older and the Rite of Maturation neared, he became disgruntled with his lot in life. He wanted to join the ranks of the Warriors, a female dominated position within the pack. Denied entrance from their ranks, the straw that broke the camel's back was the announcement of the pack's new alpha. Pack tradition could not be broken, even for the only pup of the alpha. One of his age mates was selected, one of his closest friends, Pine Bark. Not even the promise of his own rank as his friend's right hand, her beta, or his mother's insistence that becoming a scout was better than a warrior was enough to soothe his wounded pride.
x The night before the rite, Windchill left his homeland and pack behind. He headed north up the coast, and then inland, putting as much distance behind him as possible. A year later, he is currently roaming the foothills of the eastern mountains.
