Emotional State: Shamash is generally calm. There are few things that can get to them.
Personality: Shamash is a relaxed, calm, kind hearted god who helps the weak and needy. He doesn't take too kindly to rude people and if they get on his bad side he might get violent.
Self View: Shamash would like to think of himself as a benevolent being.
People Skills: Shamash generally likes people, both intro and extrovertly. However, he does think of them as protozoa's covering a marble. This isn't entirely his own thoughts and is largely his fathers thoughts that have been drilled into Shamash's mind.

Skills: Shamash is very good at noticing the little things that happen when people lie. He is also very skilled in various forms of fighting, ranging anywhere from martial arts to dirty street fighting.
Abilities: Shamash has a naturally high degree of both stamina and durability.
Powers: Shamash can, due to his ruling over the sun, manipulate fire and light to his whim, including being able to transform parts of his body into either. He also can look into a persons soul and weigh their good deeds v.s. evil deeds ratio. His final ability is the ability to pull weapons/torture devices out of thin air. These don't just limit him to these, however. Shamash also has access to other generic god-like abilities -- telepathy, teleportation (however he does this with his first ability), floating, altering form, etc.

History

For as long as he can remember, Shamash's father has been very strict. Actually, he was more of a drill instructor than a father. Shamash was always a disappointment to his tyrant father figure. The older god would try and get his son to be ruthless and cruel, but the latter just naturally was the opposite of what he was told to be. He still was a merciless judge of souls, but that was as close to his fathers wishes as he got. Eventually the two fought and Shamash vanished from his fathers sight, only to be afraid of the night sky from which his father could view all.
Shamash originally started working as a hired bodyguard for economical big-wigs and political leaders, but eventually went to college to receive his degree and became a judge soon after. He still judges cases from time to time, but is slowly drifting away from that profession and on towards new things.
