This is a pack planning thread for those of us who have the Game of Thrones wolves! Here we will flesh out our ideas for the pack and possibly allow applications for new members!! I'm going to reserve a few posts and than we can all talk here!

OKAY! So I thought it would be good for us to have a place to plot. I play Nymeria.
Just to get a few things started, does anyone know that their wolf would want a certain job in the pack? I know that Nymeria wants to be either Alpha or Beta, or if anything a hunter.
Also are we going to let other people in? I was thinking that at first it would be just them, but than they would allow new comers and of course if any of them find mates their mate would be allowed into the pack. But that's just my idea so I'd like to hear what every else has to say!
Also do we want them to worship anything/anyone in particular?

Based on what I have been able to learn so far about the actual characters in the series these roles would make the most sense for each, but they are just suggestions:
Grey Wind - Hunter / Beta / Alpha
Ghost - Scout / Hunter / Beta
Nymeria - Scout / Hunter / Beta / Alpha
Lady - Pup Sitter / Scout
Summer - Scout / Hunter / Beta / Alpha
as for my boy... I am thinking either Hunter or Beta, apparently he doesn't have much discipline which sort of counts him out for an Alpha role but he is fierce so he would make a good fighter/guard/second-in-command? I will have to read/watch and come back with a decision soonish.

8D I'm gonna go ahead and chime in with my thoughts.
Because you have no idea how obsessed I am, not only with the show, but also with the direwolves (and the dragons).
Srsly, the word "obsession" might be an understatement.
I will place spoilers in WHITE text, so you can avoid them if you want. Nothing traumatizing, for those of you who haven't read the books/watched the show and would like to.
Grey Wind would be a natural Alpha, being that Robb declared himself a King.
However, so would Nymeria, since she ends up being an Alpha of her own wolf pack.
Ghost is always kind of a loner (hence why I put him on the Lone lineart), but that doesn't mean he couldn't be a member of the pack. Lones can be pack members. Although Jon Snow does rise up the ranks of the Night's Watch, he's not really connected to his family members any more, hence why I made Ghost a Lone.
Lady would make a good Gamma/Pup Sitter. Nothing to add here, since we never learn much about Lady as a wolf. Sansa is...a wet rag, who cares.
Summer would make an excellent Beta, but idk about Alpha. He's also a good Hunter, but would make an excellent Defender/Guardian/Knight since he feels more of a connection to his siblings than any of the others.
Shaggy is so wild and out of control, I doubt he's prepared for any rank, but he'll no doubt mature as Rickon gets older. Have literally heard nothing from Shaggy for the past two books; no idea how he's doing.

Whew! Keep forgetting to make my post here...
Rank wise, I'd love to have Summer as a Beta, but I'm also down with something akin to a Defender/Guardian if the Alpha candidates want to split the difference~
I also second the idea of allowing newcomers in after having a pack of just them for a bit~ It'd help the sibling dynamic settle in before we add more variables~ :3
As for the idea of worship, perhaps in keeping with the idea of the Old Gods from the books, the pack could focus on Spirits rather than any of the gods. (In my head I'm sort of taking it to be the Gods and Goddesses are like the Seven, R'hollor, etc. whereas the Spirits would follow the Old God faith more)
I could see them focusing on Amarok perhaps, but I'ma quit nerding out here now. ^^;
