((Made on the fly. So not really the best of what I made))
Gensokyo celebrate many holidays both traditional and new. Among the new traditions inspired by the outside world's version, a celebration of the harvest took place. With it taking place as the leaves changed into the Autumn colors, the Aki Sisters did what they could to drive this little festival into a wondrous event. As Shizuha managed the colors of the leaves, Minoriko looked among the food produced by not only humans but a variety of Youkai let into the area. With the eyes of the priestess of the mountain in the area, no one dared to cause violence.

Along the lake, stalls and small baskets lined up to show the bountiful fruit and vegetables grown by the inhabitants as they give thanks to Minoriko for the good year. Minoriko noticed a new entry this year, her brilliant blue hair with a large turtle beside her. The new person had a barrel of foreign thick grapes. Minoriko had to stop and talk to her. "Hello. Pardon me for asking but what is your name? I never seen you around here." Minoriko asked the blue haired maiden. She giggled "It is quite alright, Harvest Goddess. I am Sorina, the Youkai of Sorrow. Nintai here wanted me to grow some grapes perfect for making wine that would make an emperor proud, so here they are. It's all thanks to you." Sorina smiled with a warm expression as Nintai picked up a bunch of the grapes by the stem up to Minoriko. She easily popped one in her mouth to taste it. A sensation of bliss. "Oh my! I never had something like this before. Shizuha! Come here!" Minoriko called over her sister as she tasted a berry as well. Giving the same expression and replying with "Deary me, this would be a wonderful wine to make. What are they called?" she asked Sorina. She hesitated for a bit before replying "The grapes have no real name. The species had been forgotten and lost long ago as is the method to turning it into amazing wine. So I simply called them 'Omar Khayyam'." but the two harvest goddesses were too busy consuming the bundle of grapes before them.

Minoriko looked over to Sorina and gave a smile. "We should turn them into wine sometime soon, but I have to see the other beautiful bounties for now." she waved goodbye to Sorina, walking down and gazing among the selection before her. From the famous Kappa Cucumbers of both pickled and fresh to the humans favorite standard of Lettuces and cabbage. Upon passing another barrel of fruit, Minoriko stopped before a large pumpkin. Easily big enough to hold one person inside like a house. From up top, a pair of horns could be seen as the small oni looked down with a grin. "Yo! Like the Pumpkin?" she called out to Minoriko as she hailed back to the oni "Damnit Suika! I told you last year about this too. No large vegetables!" fearing she might pull some kind of earthquake shattering smash to cover everyone. Another voice came from up top. She looked over with her single red horn and sake dish to call back "Relax. I promise she will no smash this one. Besides, have you seen the view from up here?! I can see over the lake. A great place to enjoy some sake." as Suika refilled her own dish with her gourd to agree. "You said it."

Minoriko groaned as she walked onward to inspect more of the fruit. Yet there was something odd now that she put her finger on it. Everyone was a bit too happy about this event. Usually the smiles were fine enough but it felt like full blown laughter and conversation. The aura in the air was definitely affecting the mood. Even Sanae, the priestess, was a bit too happy and laid back. Minoriko stopped as Shizuha walked up to her with the same worried look.
"Sister. They seem too happy..." Shizuha replied.
"Yeah. I feel like a Youkai is to blame..." Minoriko agreed.

Suddenly, a flash of light came from the sky! Descending from above with a staff in hand was a bald looking girl with monk attire. She happily greeted the two with a pair of joy buns "Hello! I came in just in time! There is just so much joy here that I had to come by!" her presence was affecting the inhabitants greatly. Shizuha asked "Who are you?". The monk proudly puffed her chest out "I am Hanalli, the Joy Youkai! I spread the affection of happiness and even take it in from time to time. From the aura of this area, I can tell and smell that so many people are enjoying this event!" she looked among the group, noticing a group of Kappas initiating a trade of some cucumbers for spare parts from the outside. And the booth with carrots having a tall moon rabbit from Eientei and a few of the earth rabbits along. Minoriko took the joy bun and examined it "What is this exactly? Some kind of bread with honey?" she asked. "Why that is my signature Joy Bun! Try it!" Hanalli proudly said. The two harvest goddesses took the bite and consumed it with a surprising effect.

"Tastes like bread and honey."
"Not just bread...Whole Grain and the Honey is definitely wild honey."

They were unaffected by Hanalli's Manipulation! She slumped to the ground in defeat "I can't believe it...my Joy Buns failed to taste like the food you enjoy the most." she cried in a playful manner. Shizuha on the other hand was smacking her lips to keep the taste of the bread going. Minoriko helped the Joyful one up with a grin "But we were craving some bread. I was not expecting honey though." making Hanalli radiate with joy again.
At first they wanted to talk about the overabundance of joy around them but Hanalli interrupted the two. She stood there with her hands together and told them "In truth, I came here because of the influx of joy in the area. It is on an alarming scale.". This was a bit sudden for the goddesses. "Is it serious?" Shizuha asked. Hanalli shook her head "No. However, if left un-managed, it can be a bit fatal if they start laughing without control." looking for a place to see where the source of it was coming from. Her eye noticed the giant pumpkin before her. She quickly dashed to stand on top of the stem and looked around the area with a serious look. Suika looked up and noticed Hanalli. "Hey Hanalli. Want to join us for some Sake?" the small oni offered. Hanalli replied "No thank you. I am on the lookout for an influx of joy. There is too much in the air." which caught Yuugi's attention as she added in, reclining on the stem. "I noticed it as well. The Kappas are a bit more friendly to the humans than normal. The Humans are not even that evasive of us or others. As great as this event is, I do seem to recall some humans making eyes at me...creepy." Yuugi finished with another sip. Hanalli looked around once more before hopping down to Shizuha and Minoriko.

"Find anything yet?" Minoriko asked nervously.
"I have. The cause of this is a 'Fluff'." she pointed out. The two goddesses blinked and wondered if it was a real thing. "A...fluff?" they asked. Hanalli made sure to teach them "A fluff is nothing to laugh at. They are small spirits of Dandelions that can grow on a person if they do not remove it. The longer it stays on the host, the bigger it's cause of joy." but they looked at one another. Minoriko replied "We don't go out during the summer usually." but then Shizuha remembered something. "Oh! What about the Wind Priestess, Sanae?". Hanalli nodded as they approached Sanae to talk to her. "Oh hello Aki sisters. Is there something you wish to talk about?" With Sanae distracted, Hanalli started to look at Sanae with a closer inspection. The aura emanating from her was big but she had to find the Dandelion Seed quick. The seed was located in her hair but it was so small anyone could miss it. Hanalli attempted to pluck it out when Sanae turned around and noticed Hanalli. She gave a warm smile "Hello Hanalli. Have you come to see all the wonderful produce?" her voice ever so "Good girl" toned. Hanalli retracted her hand quickly "O-oh Sanae. Yes I am. I was just going to get some food now." walking around and whispering to the Aki sisters "It's in her hair behind her." leaving for the time to not act suspicious. Sanae turned her attention back on the sisters and continued "Well I shall not keep you two here any more. You have important jobs to carry out." and left with not a care in the world. When Hanalli got back with the sisters, they devised a plan.

"Okay so here is how it will go down. Aki 1-" Hanalli was interrupted by Minoriko "Why does Shizuha get to be Aki 1?! I am the eldest!" but Shizuha retaliated "Yeah but only by a few minutes. Besides, I make the season more vibrant!" and the two glared at one another.
"Okay whatever! Look, Shizuha will use her power of leaves to try and blend into a pile of them. when Sanae walks by, Shizuha will jump out and scare her. With her sudden attention on Shizuha, Minoriko will strike her in the back of the head to easily extract the seed. Then I will consume the seed, nullifying the joy." the plan sounded so elaborate to get a seed out. So they set up the trap. Sanae walked by the pile of leaves and instead of being shocked, just politely laughed and clapped like a child. Minoriko tried using a gourd to knock her out when Sanae bowed. She missed and fell over on top of her sister, making Sanae laugh harder. Hanalli quietly put her hand over her face. "This might be harder than I thought..."

The day continued with attempt after attempt to try and get the seed out of her hair, yet nothing worked...that is until Reimu descended from the sky. She greeted Sanae in her neutral tone but as Sanae turned from Reimu, she reached out and grabbed the seed.
"Sanae. You had this in your hair." she dully said. Sanae blinked and noticed the seed. She tilted her head at it "huh? A Dandelion-" it vanished In the blink of an eye! Hanalli managed to consume the seed quickly before anyone noticed it. Her appetite salted. The mood of the area soon returned to a normal tone once again. Though the real question was...

"So how did Sanae get a Dandelion in her hair?" Minoriko asked. Hanalli chuckled "Well since Dandelion Seeds blow with the wind, I guess she just so happened to of had one embedded into her hair." knowing a bit about it beforehand. And to end the day, they had some wonderful sweet potatoes and wine to enjoy.
