Biography:
Childhood – Being the offspring of a Merman and an Elemental (water) mother proved to be very taxing on the young Ginevra. Due to the unique mash-up of her genetics, the little girl was born half-lycanthrope: only her bottom half took on the shape of a mermaid, and she could not control when it happened. If the tiniest droplet of water touched her below the waist, instantly her legs transformed into a scaly tail with feathery fins at the bottom. Unable to turn herself back on will was hard for Ginevra to grasp. It became her mission to find a solution, and after many poor attempts, she finally found one: drinking a cup of wine. As odd as the solution was, and though she had discovered it with mere luck, she was proud of her discovery and it fueled her desire to create things and solve problems. Ginevra had a fun-filled childhood nonetheless, but constant bullying from her 'friends' left the young girl crying in her room at night, wishing she could run away. Her parents did their best to support their little girl, but they too had to endure the injustice of discrimination because of their unique marriage between the two species. When Ginevra was eight, her mom went out for the night with some friends. Needless to say, she got a little drunk and spent the night with many other Elementals destroying the small tribe of Non-Elementals that lived on Kainat. Her father quickly found out what had happened, and though usually a peaceful man, was outraged by his wife's careless behavior. It was the first time Ginevra had ever seen him hit her mother, but it was also the last time. For that night, he left them. Too young to understand the damage done, all Ginevra knew was that her mother could no longer manipulate water, and her father would never be returning home.
Teen Years – Ginny and her mom traveled a lot, collecting odd knick-knacks from all the Elemental countries. This grand exposure to culture improved Ginny's knowledge and abilities - it's how she learned to sing, play instruments, as well as many other talents which she kept hidden from her mom. Though she enjoyed her travels, the half-lycanthrope was a sad teenager. She believed it was her fault that her father had left, and in her eyes, he was the bad guy. She still knew not of the havoc her own mother had created. That is... until one day they were back in Mesa and Ginny's mother was recognized by an old acquaintance who felt very strongly toward the evil that Ginny's mother had committed. The teenager could only stand in awe as she listened to this man spill out tales of destruction and chaos as the result of her mother's actions. Her mother stood there, taking it all in, tears streaming down her face as she looked at her daughter. In that instant, Ginny knew what this man was saying was true. It was then that the young teen finally packed her things for good and ran away.
Present Day – Ginevra has found a home in Zrak, of Aria, where she spends her days fiddling with odd mechanics and creating little odds and ends which she sends over to Hava for their scientific research. She works there part time as an assistant, but when she's not working, she's still traveling. Picking up new pieces of information, new stories, new materials. It keeps her busy, but it also keeps her mind from slipping into her own past. With so many other stories to tell, who needs her own? Definitely not Ginny. Currently though, she is staying put in Zrak to make some touch ups on a couple of her experiments. She's been debating about going on the expedition to Kainat, but has yet to reach a decision.
