My favorite Vietnam War Film has to be! Apocalypse Now

This is a awesome film if you have never seen it you should! Directed by Francis Ford Coppola The film features performances by Martin Sheen, Marlon Brando, Dennis Hopper, & Robert Duvall . Prominent stars had minor or supporting roles in the movie including Harrison Ford, R. Lee Ermey and Laurence Fishburne

Apocalypse Nowand Platoon are my all-time favorite Vietnam films. (I'm going to watch The Deer Hunter soon.)

I would say Full Metal Jacket definatly, it was the rawest of them all, besides for that I love the movie Jacob's Ladder, its a horror movie about a guy returning from Vietnam, and his flashbacks and PTSD. Really creepy, the movie was supposed to have been a big inspiration for the original Silent Hill game. More in the style of horror then in plot lines...

I was re-reading this, nobody mentioned Hamburger Hill. I have always been partial to that one.

I've seen a lot of war movies, more WWII than Vietnam though...

The most memorable 'Vietnam' movie I saw was a documentary-type thing that cronicled the lives of some young men who all died during the war, but were honored/remembered by their families 20+ years later on Veterans Day.

I wish I could remember the title. It was really touching...I cried. sweatdrop

Haven't seen Apocalypse Now, but my fave movie quote is:
"I love the smell of napalm in the morning." lol
