I'd like to start working on a way to govern and run this guild.
I would like it to be something along the lines of the United Nations.
My idea is that each of the three groups will nominate and vote two representatives into the crew of this guild. Of those six people, one will be chosen by everyone in the guild to be "Secretary General" for one term (six months). They will serve as the Captain of the guiild. A second person from one of the two remaining groups will be voted into the position of Under Secretary General. They will be the Vice Captain.
The Captain's job will be to organize the election for the next term. As well as to take motions from everyone to bring a topic to the floor for discussion. If the council (of six) happen to tie on a subject, the SG's vote will count twice.
The Vice Captain (USG) will take over when the SG is unable to perform his/her duties.
The Council will bring concerns and other matters before the guild from their groups. They will also act as a check and balance for when one group has too many members and therefore the majority.
Everyone in the guild (Now called "The general assembly") will vote on all topics. A pass will get that topic voted on by the council. There will be a discussion period before voting where they may bring up concerns or may argue in the topic's favor.
The council must vote a second time to pass this topic. This will act as checks and balances should one group have a majority. (Which is likely)
The council may also vote to usurp a SG. It has to have four votes total to kick out a SG. If this occurs the USG will be promoted to SG. The former SG will then be given the choice to resign from the council or remain as a council member. The general assembly will then vote on a new USG. A guild may have to vote on a new representative should the former SG choose to resign.
No captains of Corp guild may run for council. We'll have to decide about Vice-Captains of Corp guilds. I dunno about that really.
What do you guys think?
As for the topics we will discuss, I really don't know. I guess cooperative efforts? Non cooperative efforts?
I think a term for SG should only be for a year. I think come the new elections, they should not be allowed to run again and a SG from another Corp should be chosen. (This way, the Corp with the most members will not have the SG every single year.) I think they should be allowed to be revoted in by their constituents to council. Maybe put a time limit on that? I don't know.

I think after we figure out how we want the guild to be ran, we need to announce it's existence to our guild and try to get as many folks to join as possible so we can start with elections.
Maybe also make a no mules rule. SO we don't skew voting (I.E. No one may be a member more than once).

Also, I figure this should be as diplomatic as possible.
I am concerned that a topic will be out voted by majority too, so maybe every time a topic gets voted on the council has to vote for it. Maybe. :/

Maybe a year is too long? Maybe it should be six month terms? I am not certain. :/

I think if we actually could put this together, issues like what happened the other day would be non existent, and we could air any grievances in an open matter before everyone involved. If someone was too scared to call out another group for doing something they disagree with, they could message their Representative Council member and have him or her do it without any consequences to the whistle blower. :3 Groups could then have their representatives address issues pointed towards themselves. Like this matter from the other day. The rep could have easily handled that in a message to everyone involved. Of course, like the real UN, this group would have no real powers over the other groups. We could make a motion to force E-Corp to stop making bombs and it could pass--but E-Corp could (and probably would) ignore it. Like North Korea. Granted, I wouldn't want it to be used for RP-topics like that. :/ But that's a good example of what I mean when I say this organization would have no power XD

And if everyone is willing to go along with it, it definitely would make things easier. :3 A year really is a long time on the internet though XD A lot could happen in that time. Something shorter like six months would probably be better

I like how diplomatic and formal this plan sounds. You've done a nice job organizing this, Zi.

...Woah just... woah that is well organized. I failed all my politics class during my life, can't seem to get a grasp on politics so I don't get much involved (not to mention I live outside my home country, ahem). Anyway this is a good thing since it will help resolve problems like the one that happened a few days ago. Not sure how it started, but it escalated quickly. I sure hope this alliance can work between the corps. As for my votes: I vote for ashlex_in_pearl and Blackrosekitten21
