Character Name: Svetran
Race:Feral Khehora
Gender: Male
Clan: Firani
Appearance: Svetran is a fiery crimson with amber highlights along his scales. His eyes are golden and has a frill that goes from his fore head down his back along his tail(so all the way along his spine). The frill is black with cracks of red/orange (think volcanic rock with magma!) as are his wings.
His wings are ripped and torn, and the edges of these tears should be reddish.
He has 'ears' or at least big frills where they would be and frills on legs. I'd like his claws to be much larger than the lineart's normally are and for him to have 2 huge lower canines jutting upwards to give him an upside down over bite.
He has huge smooth curved horns
(X) of which one is broken, and a smaller horn on his snout (rhino!) as well as two small horns on his chin jutting down. His horns are a black color with small 'cracks' near the base that are orange.
I'd like him to have many scars. These scars will end up looking black and crackly; like the fire/magma of his scales has cooled down or something :3
And lastly, his 'thumb' on the wing and the tail should be blackened.
Personality: Loud: Very gung ho and loud. When angry, he screams and roars. When sad or gloomy, roaring helps him feel better. Happy? Same thing! For those who do not know him, he seems very angry most of the time because he demonstrates his emotions through loud noises and excessive movements.
Combative: He loves to fight and cause chaos; a very in-your-face and aggressive person. He often goes out and raids magescian fields and caravans. His combative nature often makes him quick to anger and judge. You want to make a good impression on him in the first few minutes as that's how he'll treat you for a very long time. Act scared when you first meet him and he'll think you weak and cowardly. Acting aggressive? You must be brave and a potential friend/fight buddy. Talk down to him? Oh, it is on. Svertran will do many mean and destructive things to you.
Independent: Svertan does not like to depend on others. He wants to do things his way and do it alone. He hates getting indebted to someone, but his mother made sure to teach him that debts needed to be honored. So while he dislikes it, he'll do it; though he'll complain your ear off while doing so!
Kinda Overbearing/Protective: He also has a very protective side. While young, his smaller clutch brothers died in front of him and he couldn't do anything to help save them even though he tried. Svetran has hated deaths of children ever since then, no matter what their race. So he tends to treat all small intelligent things as a kid brother in need of help... even after they grow up and can take care of themselves. Gets pissed when told to "Go away" or "Leave me alone!" Why should he? He's trying to help you damn it! Usually best to smile and accept his help to get him to go away... usually....
Biography/Background: Svetran was raised on Eowyn in the Terra Expanse. His clan is rowdy and loves a good fight just like him; as such they are often the main participants in Rhazes' raids on Magescians. He was raised in such a way that made him think and see other people not as prey, but as people who can give him a good fight and to challenge himself against. He respects martial might in all races and will often stalk down the really strong to spar with. His clan is quite violent and tend to overlook the softer side of life. Those who can't stand the heat leave for other clans.
Svetran lived a mostly happy and very rough childhood. He always though that bad things happened to others, not him. At least until one event that taught him that death came to all. It happened he was an Orakoi: a group of Gaili dragons attacked his clan's home while most of the warriors were away on a raid. He could only hide and watch as many of his clutch mates and the elderly left behind perished trying to defend or flee.
The clan's fighters, when it came back, were enraged. After seeing to the wounded and burning the dead, they went hunting. Every last one of them, the weak and the strong. They killed any Dragon withing flying distance of their clan. The near by Khehora clans hid and stayed out of sight for a while as most of them were Gaili's and didn't want to risk getting attacked as well. The nearby mountain forest caught fire during quite a few of the fights and the majority of it burned down. It's only just now recovered, though there are still many scorched spots and signs of that fire.
Svetran was one of the few Orakoi who had survived the attack, and he was traumatized by what he had seen. But Svetran wasn't weak, and he didn't break from it. Instead of hiding away in misery, fear, and guilt; he did his best to learn how to be strong. To turn that fear into strength and learned to fight back. He was very dark, brooding and quick to snap at others for a long time. His clan didn't see anything wrong with this; after all, he was turning out to be a good warrior! His anger and past fear were great motivation and they often encouraged it. All but his mother, that is. Silira did not like what was happening. Svetran was her only baby left! She didn't want to lose him! So she did her best to pound into his angsty brooding mind certain things: to always honor a debt, that others were people too, and that destructive rage would only kill him one day. She tried to heal his anger and managed to teach him most of these, except that last one. Svetran was not willing to let go of his anger at the Dragons who had killed his clutch mates!
It wasn't until his parents laid another nest that Svetran began to truly and fully heal. Having little brothers and sisters again and seeing them born made him realize that there was more than just anger and hatred in the world, and he finally began to glimpse just a little of what his mother had tried to teach him. He learned how to laugh again and began to become the loud obnoxious person he is today. Svetran also finally managed to make friends as well, the ones before were people he just sat and brooded with. His sullen angry attitude had kept the non gloomy khehoras at bay and once he began to laugh and be happy, they opened up to him and accepted him into their ranks. These new friends were the happy-go-lucky ones of the clan, the ones who pulled pranks and teased the Magescians instead of hunting them down. His mother heaved a vast sigh of relief at this. Finally her boy was becoming a son she could be proud of!
He has healed enough by the time he's an adult that he doesn't hate all dragons, just Gailis. His aggression is in part a remnant from his younger days; he still hasn't learned complete control or looking at things from others views. Svetran isn't quick to open up to other adults, he's still leery of letting others get close to them since he doesn't want to get emotionally hurt like before. Though he does crave the happy times with his family. Children are the exception to this: no matter the race he'll always look after a child. He may have failed to protect his clutch mates, but he will not let another child die in front of him!
Thoughts on the Great Engagement: War sounds like a stupid thing! Fights are a mono-a-mono business! This whole army idea is stupid! You have a problem? Fight it out yourself! Though raids now, that's okay. Yeah, small group fights are fun! But a true warrior challenges himself by fighting alone. He considered Dovaa's to be wusses cause they hide in that safe little Celestial Plane. he'll treat them with derision and scorn.
Ords and Oblivs? Well, they like fights! Or at least, all the one's he's met have! Which means they'll be good people to attack and train against! Though he's very disgusted by the whole army thing.
Thoughts on the Dragons and Khehora : Svetran adores a good brawl and fight. Dragons attacking? Cool! Bring it on! If he runs into one in the wild and it flees, he won't chase it. Those he thinks of as cowards. The only difference here is Gaili dragons. He hates those with a passion. Those he will hunt down and kill. Nothing sport like about those hunts, just to kill them as quick as possible. Since they attacked and killed
his family and
his friends then so shall he attack them.
As for khehoras, he views feral's as his brothers and bondeds as his often stupider or weaker siblings. Not as good as him, but still family. He does not tolerate khehoras being treated as pets, but if you treat your bonded as an equal/friend, then he has no problems with you. Leary of Gaili's since they remind him of Gaili Dragons, but is okay with them. Loves to tease/torment Ysali and Aiskalan Khehoras... something about them being weak against him makes them seem like toys!
