Wind flicked Erionda's long hair into her face. Coiling it about her earrings, Erionda could feel the dug of the wind all around her. For once Lanzecki wasn't complaining about the whether conditions. Burred deep in the satchel on her side Erionda had stored her fathers notebook. He had claimed to have found a strange stone here, but due to his lack of knowledge he had sold it. Pulling the book from her pack again Erionda thumbed through the pages. Her back turned to the wind in hopes it would keep them from tearing the book apart. The sound of flicking pages died on the wind. Grumbling Erionda settled on the proper section she had stumbled upon. Her fingers traced the drawing in the book. It looked similar to the song of ice she had recently acquired not long ago. Upon closer inspection at home she had discovered the two pieces almost looked like they could fit together. She was disappointed however to find that her father held no record of the strange ice crystal she had found. Reading the lines Erionda blinked. The records showed he had found the item on Ayr, after killing a strange bird called the Alkara. Snapping the book closed Erionda shoved the leather bound item back into her bag. “Why are we going so fast?” Lanzecki whined. Uassae glanced over his shoulder and smirked at the smaller Keindred. “There's a hot spring cave ahead. I figured it'd be warmer to camp there than anywhere else.” “A hot spring?” “No baths,” Uassae told the grey bonded. “But if it's a hot spring . . . .” “Keh! You'd get sick, and I'd have to haul you back to the village, wasting my time because you're a weak baby.” Lanzecki made a sound suspiciously like his infamous, `Keh.' “You can't use my noise against me,” he remarked. “I won't get sick, I promise.” “Damn straight, because you're not getting a bath.” “Please?” “No.” “But—” “No.” She sighed. “Uassae—” “No!” "Enough!" Erionda finally turned back glaring at the two arguing Drakein. It was so like Uassae to tease Lanzecki. And the later to reply in overly dramatic tons. Normaly she found them funny, most of the time she could ignore their babbles. Today however they were especially grating on her nerves. She blamed her lack of composure on the wind and her inability to find the very creature she had come here for.

Take a walk to clear your mind, calm yourself down, and see if that doesn't help you a bit. The wise words of the Dovaa Sage that he had come back to yet again seeking advice. Apparently he'd gotten himself so worked up that the man felt that he wouldn't be able to properly concentrate on anything let alone something as delicate as what it was that Junjie was trying to deal with at the moment. Sighing to himself he did as he was told, walking... and walking and walking. He wondered exactly how far it was that he was supposed to walk buthe hadn't thought to ask that, he assumed it was until he felt calm but given that he'd made zero headway since leaving Eowyn he wasn't really in the mood to be calm! If anything being told to calm down was just making him feel the opposite he thought to himself, making a bit of a face.
Turning to look over his shoulder he gave one of his Dovaa wings the best glare that he could muster, "This is all your fault you know." He blamed them but it wasn't as though a body part could really be held accountable, especially when it was a part of him. That didn't stop him saying words that he knew made zero sense though. GIven the huffy mood he was in it helped to cast blame somewhere even though in a roundabout manner it did accomplish what he had been thinking on doing in the first place... only it wasn't on his terms so he wasn't a fan. There was a part of him that was starting to think he was being tested though by who he wasn't sure, perhaps Abronaxus who had gifted him with these wings? Or was it Seren because he had done his best to hide his Orderite side for so long? Either way he looked at it he felt that was the case and he needed to figure out the answer to the test before he would ever find true peace with these new wings. Before that happened he needed to find the ability to calm himself down... it all felt quite compllicated if you asked him.
Giving a flap of his many wings he continued onward, starting to feel at least a little tired given he was walking against the wind. Maybe tired would help him to reach calm he thought to himself before he slowed to a halt, looking from side to side, swearing that he heard familiar voices... but surely not? No, that couldn't be right... how could he be hearing someone that he was more then certain was either on Eowyn or Aisko, not Ayr. He was obviously in need of sleep, being without sleep for so long was causing him to hear things he thought to himself as he started forward once more though he found himself moving toward the voices that he was certain were in his head.

(( This is a loot Roll))
“No.” “But—” “No.” “Stop—” “No!” “Damn—” “Cussing isn't going to change `no' to `yes'.” “Keh!” Erionda lifted the Song of ice to her lips. She pressed her lips together and turned her head to the side. Sucking on the ice to replenish her thirst. Trying her best to ignore the Drakeins bickering. If they didn't cool it down soon she would force the to do so. Perhaps the reasons he hadn't found any Alkara yet was because of her bickering companions. Shooting them a narrowed glance from over her shoulder the hybrid continued.
“Now come on, eat this it will work wonders.” Uassae insisted. Perpetually changing the game they played. “Bring me real food, and I'll eat it.” Lanzecki retorted, eying the strange object in Uassae's claws, “You've got a huge hole in your stomach. Until that heals, I want you to eat the broth.” Uassea continued. Referring to the Keindreds growing appetite. “No.” “Lanzecki—” <******** no.” Rolling her eyes, Erionda set the stone back in her bag and reached for the bandages on her stomach. The wounds on her body hadn't healed yet from the previous scaffolding with several Gaili dragons. It was a miracle she had survived.
Uassae drew closer to Lanzecki pressing the natious item against his muzzle.
Lanzecki pushed his hands away. “No.” “Stop pouting, and let me feed you.” “Keh! No, thank you, and I don't pout.” Erionda was inclined to disagree. The hybrid twitched at a sound to her left. Leaning into the wind Erionda moved towards the sound.

Alright, he was almost certain now that he was hearing Rio and her Drakein... the sound was getting closer and closer as well. He couldn't just be going crazy, it had to be something else too, it had to be... he looked from side to side, lifting a hand to fend off the wind and his bangs, and he found himself starring at the very group that he had been hearing. Was he seeing things now too? Was he sleeping at the moment and dreaming that he'd found them? Or since he'd gone out walking maybe that meant he was day dreaming? He couldn't say for certain but it really looked as though they were real. How he hoped so, having a friend to talk to, one that was like he was, would be nice right about now.
Holding up a hand, hoping that he wasn't waving at a hallucination since he was certain to look crazy by anyone who might be watching him, he called out, "Rio? Is that you?" Please be real he thought to himself as he started toward her, a hopeful look on his face. This would be so nice, maybe she would be able to help him? Either with figuring out how to calm himself down or helping him to figure out the problem he was having with his wings at the moment.
If not even just the mere presence of his friend would be really nice at the moment... though he did find himself wondering what she was doing in Ayr when last he knew she was planning on going to Aisko.

Erionda looked up. Smiling at the waving hand before her. It was Junjie! Eager to ignore the current of bickering behind her the hybrid hurried forward towards her friend. She wasn't one for physical contact and keeping a good foot space between them, Erionda beamed at the familiar male hybrid. "I never thought I would see you on Ayr. Isn't your home still on Serenia?" She questioned, cringing as the stream of bickering followed her.
Catching her hair behind her head to pin it in place Erionda blinked. Her body language squared towards her friend. Completely ignoring her companions. Waving a hand between Junjie and herself, pretending she couldn't hear her Drakein she continued. "It doesn't matter, I'm trying to find something among the Alkara birds. But I can't even find a single feathered creature. Not even a nest."
Erionda pouted, crossing her arms across her chest with her hip jutting out at the side. Rolling her eyes she glared back towards Uassae and Lanzecki. "Look you two! No food! No Bath! NOT UNTIL WE FIND THAT ALKARA!" Erionda's patience with them had finally snapped.
Uassae nodded, prancing up to Erionda's side as if nothing had happened. Lanzecki whimpered, his wings dragging along the ground as he walked. Pouting even more than Erionda thought he possibly could.
"But--"
"I said enough."
Lanzecki opened his mouth to let out a sob. Erionda stepped forward her hands snapping the young Keindreds muzzle closed. "Not another sound from you. The two of you fighting is driving away any chance we have of finding this bird."

"I am meeting with a sage that lives here to see if he can't help with with a problem I'm having." He said, opening his mouth to explain to her about the strange new set of wings he'd got and about the problems he was having... until she started to scold her Drakein, something that had chuckle a bit as he watched. It made him wish that he'd brought Abellio and Arjan along with him but the two of them were back at the Sage's place, snoozing away. The days of travel had taken its toll on them as well, leaving them spent, so he'd allowed them to stay behind during his walk. Still, he was sure that if they were awake that they would have had a lot of fun chatting with Rio's two since they seemed to be quite exciteable today.
Curiously he asked, "What's an Alkara?" An answer he actually got a moment later as she moved to hold Lanzecki's mouth closed, telling him that the fighting was ruining their chances of finding a bird. Lifting a hand up he hid a chuckle behind his sleeve. Alright, well that answered that, the Alkara were birds it would seem. Interesting, why was she hunting for birds he found himself wondering. He supposed that if he waited long enough he would probably figure it out though, right? Giving a smile Junjie waited to see if she said anything more before he finally asked, "Why are you searching for birds, Rio?"

((Rolling for another Alkara))
Tight hands held Lanzecki's muzzle closed, the hybrid's head turned at Junjies question. "Oh the Alkara. Well they have a strange stone like item. Wait... here." Erionda moved one hand away to fish into her satchel. Pulling out a strange blue gem like rock.
The object filled her hand, while it looked like ice it didn't give off a cool bite as ice normally would. Part of the object was smooth the other had a strange jagged edge to it. "I was reading my fathers book." Again, Erionda paused fishing in her bag for the book. Trying to hold both objects up against the staggering strength of the wind. "A little help with the wind please Lanzecki."
The small Keindred nodded fervently. Tossing his nose skyward the Ayrala activated his skills calming the wind around them into a gentle breeze.
"Thank you," Erionda nodded her acknowledgement, gently stroking the bondeds head. Turning to thumb through the pages Erionda stopped. Turning the book around so Junjie could see what was written.
"My fathers journal contains writing of a special rock. That looks like this." Erionda tapped the drawing eagerly with her ring finger. "I think it matches this strange stone I found in Aisko a few days ago. And I wanted to see if there was some connection between the two stones. Considering this isn't a block of ice like it appears. It can magically bring water into existence! It's like I never have to worry about running out of water ever again."
Wonder filled the hybrids face as she searched Junjies for his reaction. "The only problem is. I have no idea where I'm going to find one of these mystical birds. I know they are around here. I just haven't been able to have any luck finding them."

(( *rolls too* ))
Junjie tilted his head to one side, listening to what it was that she was explaining to him, his attention going to the pretty blue stone that she was presenting, "That is a pretty stone." He murmured, then turned to glance at the little Keidred, looking quite impressed as he calmed the wind around them. He took the chance to gather his hair, dragging it out of his face, and then stepped a little closer to listen to the story she was telling him while inspecting the book that she was holding for him to see.
So the blue stone had a sister stone somewhere, both of them magical from the sounds of it, and they had some amazing abilities if what she said about the blue stone was to be believed, "The stones sound amazing." He said, then looked up at Rio, "So you are searching for the sister stone then? And these... Alkara, they have the stones? If you want some company I don't mind walking with you for a little while, I was sent on a walk to find my calm so helping you search for the birds might in turn help me." He offered, not minding helping her search for the Alkara and the magic stone if she needed his help.

Eriondas face lit up enthusiastically, a bright, playful, smile filled her face. She hadn't expected any help, let alone help from a friend. Fingers curled around the ice like stone, shifting it back into her bag. Turning to stare at the pages again, Erionda's eye's scanned the yellow pages for any clue of the birds location. The only thing she could figure out, was no different than the information she already had. Just that the large pheasant like creature resided on Ayr, and used the wind to its advantage.
Sighing Erionda closed the book again. Rolling her eyes eyes to the side as Lanzecki cried quietly. Jumping when she realized what it was he was crying about. Scraping her knees against the hard rocky surface, Erionda brushed her hands along her Keindreds muzzle. "I am very sorry my young friend. You can relax now. I am so proud of how long you lasted."
Lanzecki licked Erionda's face eagerly. Releasing the wind to continue its rampage. While he had been able to create a small sphere of protection it was more than enough for the hybrid.
"See that!?" The smaller one boasted.
"Means nothing"
"Does too"
"Not"
Wincing Erionda reached up to close the smaller of two muzzles. "Enough," she growled, feet pushing under her.
On her feet again, Erionda tuned to Junjie. "I would love all the help I can get. Seems it was just a chance of luck I first ran into the first one on Aisko. I don't even know where I would start searching in the first place. Would you... maybe happen to have any idea where I lcould find them? Or somone with enough information that could lead us to one?"

Junjie was more then happy when he heard that she wanted his help, of late he'd felt more then a little out of sorts with everything that was going on but being with Rio once more was quite reassuring. She really was a good friend he found himself thinking before he gave a thoughtful sound, "I can't say I know exactly where to find them but maybe..." He was about to suggest the Sage, the man had lived in Ayr forever to get away from the world, but before he could even think to offer up the man as a possible source of knowledge then was suddenly a loud screech overhead, one that would draw eyes upward... and he blinked a couple times, "Ahh... huh..."
Birds, big ones at that, something that he couldn't help but to stare at. Were those Alkara? He'd never really noticed them before himself, he tended to just hunt dragons when he went hunting, but now he couldn't take his eyes off them. They were rather colorful, weren't they? He followed them with his eyes for a moment before looking over to Rio, "Is that them? Should we follow?" He asked of her, taking her lead on this one since he'd never hunted for anything that was a dragon before. She would surely know best how to deal with the Alkara since she already had one of their stones, right? At least he assumed that was the case.

Erionda didn't wait for Junjie to finish his suggestion, he was smart she knew that. So whatever plan he could come up with was likely to be the best in her given circumstances. What fascinated her most was the ability of the Alkara to show up, flying above them as if it had heard it's name called on the wind. Part of her wanted to burst out laughing at the situation. How often was it that the very creature she had left to hunt showed up exactly as it had when she was looking? It was too much of a coincidence for the female hybrid.
Stifling her laughter Erionda drew her sword from the sheath on her back. Her multi colored eyes followed the bird. She lost herself in the moment. Forgetting everyone and everything around her. Until Junjie had spoken. Blinking back at the male hybrid she nodded. "Yes we best follow them. It looks exactly like the one I found on Aisko."
Instinctively Uassae took to the air. Following behind the Alkara at a safe enough distance to discover where it was going. Just enough that he could relay the message back to Rio and the party could proceed on it's hunt for the bird like creature.
Impatiently Erionda hurried after the Alkara. She had to figure out what the stone her father mentioned was. Little was written in the book about it other than he had found it and sold it. Why did it look so similar to the Song of Ice she had?
Here, only there's two of them in this nest. A mated pair maybe?
Erionda's jaw dropped as she neared a cliff. She would have to climb that in order to reach the birds. The Aiskala hybrid couldn't help but feel sorry for the Alkara. She hadn't the intention of killing more than one, and from her fathers writing more than one might actually be required. The drop was considered rare. Rubbing her head, Erionda pointed to the cliff looking back at Junjie.
"Uassae says there's a pair of them up there. We just have to climb to the top I think?"
Gritting her teeth Erionda started her climb.

Junjie was quick to follow along after Rio, wondering where the birds might be heading, likely to a good perch somewhere? He'd seen some of the dragons take to high perches in the past, mocking him from places he'd been unable to reach at the time. Maybe he would be luckier this time around he thought to himself... though that thought was quickly quashed as he found himself starring up the cliff that they were going to be climbing. He starred for a moment before nodded, "Alright... let's go then." While he wasn't confident in his climbing abilities, not finding a huge need to do so where he usually traveled, he would attempt it regardless. If they could find the stone that they were looking for then the climb would be more then worth it.
"So these stones... are they actually a part of the bird? Or do they just carry them around?" He asked of Rio as the climb began, not certain he cared for the idea of carving up a bird looking for something that might be a part of them... though he supposed they could cook up the rest so as not to let this be a waste. Surely the Drakein would be interested in such a meal if they were going to kill the birds... unless of course they were something tasty that Rio and himself could eat as well? He couldn't say he had any idea, today was the first day he'd seen a bird like this and as such he had no idea if they were edible or not. He'd ask Rio about that if they were luckily enough to actually catch up with the birds. While the two of them were climbing the birds were able to just fly away like it was nothing after all, so they did sort of have the upper hand in this one.
