NOTE: Many have said that they cannot put their work in writer's share due to length. PLEASE feel free to post sections of your work that you would like feedback on. It doesn't have to be the entire thing. =)

RULES

1. ALL WORKS POSTED MUST BE YOUR OWN AND ORIGINAL. We, as writers, abhor plagiarism- all in or in part in any way. This includes NOT submitting work of family members or friends on their behalf.
Please keep in mind copyright laws, when posting on the internet, will not protect your work unless properly submitted to the copyright establishment of your country of residence.

2. BY POSTING IN THE WRITER'S SHARE, YOU ARE OPEN TO ACCEPTING FEEDBACK AND OPINIONS ON YOUR WORK. (Positive or Negative).

3. WHENEVER POSTING FEEDBACK PLEASE BE CONSTRUCTIVE - NOT DESTRUCTIVE OR WORSE: A TROLL.

4. EXPLICIT LANGUAGE IS PERMISSIBLE IN CREATIVE WORKS WHEN NECESSARY FOR TONE/CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. EXPLICIT LANGUAGE OR ANY FORM OF BULLYING WILL NOT BE TOLERATED IN FEEDBACK.

5. PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN POSTING WORKS INCLUDING RACIAL, RELIGIOUS, OR SEXIST SLURS.
This has never come up so far, but I have to say it...
Creative works will sometimes involve situations, phrases, wording, or otherwise that is today considered discrimination or politically incorrect and potentially offensive to some parties. If you have something of this nature to post please include some kind of disclaimer. Avoid anything that potentially violates the Gaia TOS. If you are unsure if something is appropriate or not, please PM the Captain or Vice Captain and we can help make a judgement call to post or not to post.

6. WHEN GIVING FEEDBACK, PLEASE

to make it easy to know when getting feedback.

HOW TO GIVE CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK:

- Try to give positive feedback first. List something you liked about the work, before moving on to any negative feedback you may have.

- When giving negative feedback, make suggestions as to how the writer can improve.

- If you feel it is wonderful without improvements, everyone loves praise so don't be stingy on giving superlatives smile

- Some are much better at grammar than others. If you are commenting on grammatical mistakes, put it at the end of your feedback in blue.

- Remember, the writers on the other end of the computer are people - and see the writing as a reflection of themselves. Be kind and please try to give feedback that is constructive.
