Nestled among the volcanic string of islands is a small isle right in the center of everything. It gets it's name from it's shape... that of a falling drop of water from the sky. Though, it could be from the fact that it mostly rains here, a light drizzle most of the time.
As this island is right n the center of this string of islands, it happens to be in quite a perfect place to help trading and exploration routes. A small city has sprung up among the trees. It's mainly Nagas who live here, though Hermia, humans, Minos, Gekkinada, and Dwarfs (of course, there's a dwarf in everything, isn't there? They usually wear heavy leather robes to keep themselves dry) have settled down in this place as well. Here you can easily go to either the continents if you wished... You just have to catch the right boat.

"Finally! The secret dream of all kenku! I was flying! Flying! I could feel the cool ocean breeze on the feathers of my face...wait... hadn't I been in the middle of a forest on an airship bridge?"
Those were Tollemiirs thoughts as he landed beak first into an embankment of sand. He groaned loudly before remembering who and what he was. he got up with a spring to his feet hands at his hips.
with an unnaturally deep a-typical male hero voice he said "Ah Ha! Exactly as planned!" one claw coming to his under beak to strike a confident asinine pose as he looks to see if anyone saw his humiliating landing.

As he looked about with his eyes to see if anyone had observed him... it appeared now. He was alone on a pristine white beach, the gentle sands leading up to a thick dense tropical jungle. He heard the calls of tropical birds who didn't seem much interested in his beak-first dive into the sand...
To the north was more beach and trees as the beach slowly curved out of sight. To the south he could see what looked like a wooden dock off in the distance... and ye old time wooden sailing ships docked there. Ahead of him was the thick dense jungles, and behind him was the wide open ocean, dotted with more islands on the horizon.

Tollemiir cleared his throat and continued on looking about for any other signs for a city or village or anything recognizable. He had a strong feeling he wasn't at home anymore. In a much more cracked and screech like voice Tolemiir spoke. "Come on out! Rook, Jack, Maggie, Hood. Lets have a better look at this place shall we? I have a strong feeling we aren't at home anymore." From his own shadow flew a murder of four crows dull, non reflective and black as night. he guided them each to one of the four cardinal directions relative to himself. He told them to fly in slow spiral patterns to gain the most cover.

The four crows obeyed swiftly, each flying away to the north, south, east and west.
About 10 minutes later, Rook flew back, as to the North he had flown. She reported that the beach ends and turns into high rocky cliffs where the islands turns to a point.
Hood had to the South, before returning about 2 minutes later, telling of a port with an all manner of odd and strange creatures that the shadow crow had never seen before. He only recognized the Humans and the minotaurs...
Jack had flown to the West. He reported of several islands, one of which had bright orange lava pouring out of a mountain peak.
Maggie had flown East through the jungle. She came back with the story of light rain, various plants and animals, and buildings under and in the trees made of anything from stone to wood to being grown out of trees...

All but Maggie returned to his shadow as Tollemiir began with caution to head to the port. He kept eyes, ears, and bill open for danger always at the ready to retreat from danger if he can, to strike swift and with deadly precision if he could not.

It took him an hour trek along the sandy beach but eventually he reached the port. There he saw long wooden docks and massive ships, being manned by tall and noble-looking Bulls of Minos in armor and working together with Humans; there were little people of varying shades of green running around and helping out as well; they were dressed in fine clothes as they used magic to help move things... they looked like humanoid Geckos.
There were some very short, small, but wide beings helping move stuff on the shore... but they stayed far away from the docks, like the water would jump out of the sea and eat them if they got too close. You couldn't see much of their features as they were all dressed in thick oiled leathers with wide brimmed oiled hats. The only defining features were large masses of what looked like wire braided into complex shapes that was either in-front of them or behind... The metals of these beings seemed to very widely.
There was a gloop next to him as something seemed to drip... no ooze out of a tree. It looked like a gigantic mass of slime, as clear and pure in color as sapphire. It had a pair of glowing yellow orbs floating in the slime. It oozed away from him, heading towards the boxes... the short people in leathers with metal wire-hair tried to shoo the slime away.... with loud thick Scottish accents... but the slime got to a particularly large crate and the board it had touched started to sprout branches and leaves.

"Yep. Not home at all. Most likely they haven't seen a being like me before either. Wonderful... A place that MIGHT not be predisposed to thinking I'm some sort of criminal." He thought to himself as Maggie perched on his shoulder. He went to the closest human without a seeming psychotic disposition hoping that what he saw as human might at least resemble in some way the humans he knew.
He stayed in stillness quietly listening as the humans spoke hoping to observe their language so as to open a line of communication...

He found himself approaching a pair of humans hauling large crates that looked... way heavier then the humans he knew could carry. Upon further inspection, he both that they both looked rather androgynous-- they had the wide hips, long legs, and chests of human women, but they had strong looking arms and the wide shoulders of males... and their faces were no help either.
They were both chatting with each other rapidly in their tounge... Another human, who was clearly male, walked up and asked something in a questioning tone... the two androgynous humans glared at him, before switching to what sounded like a completely different language... they were both dressed in tight fitting clothes with ceramic plates lining it like some kind of armor....

Tollemiir qwerked his head in interest at the androgynous humans... if they were humans. They spoke with speed and ease and more than one language as well. He applied his skill not only as a Kenku but also as a scholar to carefully listen now to all that they said, to all it meant to them and all the subtle nuances in body language they conveyed to each other in an effort to make sense of their communications.

After about five minutes of watching them...
{.... so there was this sexy little thing hanging at the tavern... she passed by here about a month ago, I think she was heading to the plains. She asked about places on the mainland that had good beer. I told her Turoome had a lot of good dwarf bars. It seems she got kicked out of the one in town. The dwarfs working there wouldn't let her near their establishment with a 20 foot pole.}
{Wow. What did she do to piss of the dwarfs so much when they have brawls and smash each other over the heads with stone mugs every night?}
{Something about posters of her being the 'Champion of the Universe'...}

Tollemiir cleared his throat softly and got ready to try and speak to the two beings in the tongue they were choosing now. {"Errr... Hello noble mammaliods! If that is indeed what you are. I am Mr.Shoe and I was hoping if it wasn't too much trouble if you might not kindly inform me as to just what land I have found my self in? I am a scholar from far off enough that even I don't know where I am."}

The two human-like beings stopped what they were doing to look at this 'Mr.Shoe.' Upon further inspection, one humanoid had bright red hair that slid down into darker reds and browns. The other had neon blue hair that slid down into bright greens and yellows.
The one with the bright blue green hair spoke first. {Let me guess. Everything went black, you heard a voice make a comment in some strange language and then you ended up on the island, yes?}
{It's not all that uncommon, actually. A bunch of people from all over usually end up getting dragged here to Alconia. Happened to me and my friend here. Normally it's Humans and Hermia who get nicked from their own universes... though, I've never seen such a curious little crow man like you before...} The red headed one stepped forward to peer at the crow with curiosity. She even bent forward to poke at his little beak dangle.
Now that Tollemiir thought about it, he had heard a voice before he found himself falling towards the beach. It sounded like the voice had said in Supernatrual, {"A rebellious one... still... you will help greatly..."} Then he had found himself nose diving towards the white sands of the isle.
{Either way, you are in the realm of Alconia now. It's a quaint little planet... Though most of the natives seem to be a bit... primitive.}
{All exept those minotaurs. Mmm! I've never been such a fan of Clockpunk and Steam punk tech still I saw those trains of theirs on the mainland. And they're such big boys!} The blue haired one had a grin on her face and a distant look on her face like she was picturing a minotaur in some perverse fantasy. The two woman giggled as the other seemed to join in on this...

{"Eh I see... god shenanigans! Well thank you mammaloids! My species happens to be called Kenku. Beings who pride knowledge as the one true treasure of the world. So minotaur's aren't these giant flesh eating baby taking monsters I've heard of where I am from? Here they not only are social but capable of advanced sciences?"} He bubbles happily.

One of the two hermia, the blue haired one, snaps out of her daydreaming to nod to the Kenku. {Indeed! Some of the finest minds in this world you will find among the Minos populace!} She said with a grin. {Their metal crafts are unrivaled. They are a very proud warrior race, skilled at making Armor and weapons out of metal... they even make good leather armors, now that I think about it.} She said, rubbing her chin. {And noo. They're not like that. They're actually quite peaceful most of the time. I wouldn't hurt someone that's close to a minos though...} the Hermia shuddered. {I was traveling through the desert once and we were happened upon a group of massive people as big as the Minos were that looked like they were mutated from horny toads. Big, sand colored, lots of spikes and they shot blood from their eyes. They were attacking the whole caravan... their big mistake was when one of them tried attacking this little Minos girl.}
The other one snapped out of her daydream. {I remember that! She screamed and the girl's parents pummeled that one, then the rest of the group into the ground. I don't know if the ugly things survived that... The parents were so pissed. Then the two of them hugged their daughter and cried for a while as they were seeing if she was alright.}
The other hermia nodded. {Do you remember the steam tubes they had in Turoome? You could get across that massive city in minutes thanks to that. The dwarfs didn't much like the tubes much... especially when the tubes went over buildings. I can't help but think the Minos that mapped the tubes out had a sense of humor.} She said with a laugh. {I remembered being on a tube with a dwarf who was riding on it for the first time. The moment it went up over a building his beard was suddenly sticking out from his face like a spiky metal sea urchin!}
{Hardy har har. I happened to be standing next to him. He stabbed me in the leg! Then he had the gall to think that I was defiling his beard. Then he back off for some reason once he got a better look at me... he even put some of that foul smelling dwarf mud on it. Awful, sticky, horrendous looking stuff, but it healed my leg up like new. Not even a scar.}
