Life's story:
Born to an impoverished village deep in the radiation, the girl who would become Gozen was tricked into coming into one of the larger outposts with the promise of safe and well paying work. Instead, her life was one of vice and violence at the hands of the Yamaguchi clan. The Yamaguchi Clan was one of the the largest Yakuza gang at the time and were competing with other clans for control of the vice dens that littered the poorer districts.
Working her way up from the lowest levels, Gozen (a name she adopted) fought her way up from being a working girl to a low level boss (despite her gender). It cost her a great deal of her moral sensibility and taught her the only one you can rely on is yourself. When her talent for manipulating chakra was discovered, she began an ascent that would see her all the way to the upper echelons of the gang. She set up an intel racket and began handing out intel on enemies for a steep fee. With her help, she cornered the market on black market information.
Personally, Gozen fought through her tears and came out a stronger person. Long nights alone taught her patience, betrayals taught her self-reliance, the hardships of lower class life taught her the value of an education, poverty taught her the value of money, and a violent lifestyle taught her the fragility of human life. She has a smug air of confidence about her and she spoils herself with a lavish lifestyle. Perhaps she is overcompensating for what she DIDN’T have growing up. She makes a habit out of demeaning others and flaunting what she has to compensate for what she had taken from her. She imagines her status as a low level boss (akin to a genin) as a much loftier “noble” title and brags about it quite openly.
She picked up the bad habit of “fake laughing” at the jokes of “clients”. All of her laughs sound forced, too loud, and haughty as a result and she frequently laughs at inappropriate times. Gozen is also a legendary flirt, almost to the point of absurd parody. She tends to hang off the arm of any powerful male figure she comes across. She likes to try to manipulate the men in her life and leads them on, teasing them to the point of torture.
Gozen is all about overcompensation and being superficial, but she does have a legitimately keen mind. Gozen is meticulous and very business savvy. Since she judges her self-worth largely based on material things, she is a cutthroat when it comes to business- working every angle. Everything “costs” something for her. Want aid? 20 ryo. Back massage? 55 ryo. A pack of kunai? 15 ryo. Nothing is free from her and that includes favors in the political sense. Everything is tit-for-tat with her and she keeps a running tally of everything in her head.
Recently she has been running a scam that gained her access to Pandorum, thanks to her Yakuza ties. Then again, she has a talent for jutsu and that’s always in need so maybe it’s not such a bad deal for Pandorum.
