(Any and all are welcome to join this role play. It's a main story involving Domina Mortem and she's asked for me and one of my characters play a main role in it.) They had been given only a weeks preparation to prepare, and they had spent most of the days evacuating all of Vatican City before the assault to bring all civilian casualties to zero if possible; while it also kept any more numbers being added to their enemy's numbers. Still, they managed to get enough time in to barricade off as many streets as they could and make fortifications to buildings and rooftops for sniping positions. Some of it makeshift, some more professional, it wasn't hard to tell it was all made nearly last minute. Yet what they lacked in good barricades, they made up for their sheer numbers and strong armors. Standing in the streets were thousands of Paladins and Templars alike, all clad in their different armors, all of them looked like nights of the old ages, back when they simply slayed dragons and monsters. All the ones standing in front were equipped with sturdy tower shields and some form of polearm, while the rest either carried a sword, axe, or even more modern weaponry like rifles and pistols. Standing on numerous rooftops were just a couple of the heavily armored Paladins standing guard over the snipers of the groups. Some were staying more to the old fashioned as they often did, armed with bows and muskets, which to an average person wasn't very affect, but enchanted and spell weaved one could make them just as affective as any other. Yet of course there were those with actual snipers, some anti material for that matter. Standing on most of the barricades on the streets were machine gun turrets and grenade mixed in, which in theory would mow down any ground enemies that tried to charge; but with an undead horde if you couldn't destroy the head, it wouldn't matter. Even then these were necromancer troops, standard weapons no matter how deadly, would only prove so affective. The large part they were sticking to such old tradition style of fighting was the fact it was the only thing that was efficient enough in killing this enemy. Gabrial Nightshade In the center of the city was where all the leaders and most elite members of the groups stood in preparations for this massive battle. The strongest and most feared of their enemies was Gabrial Nightshade, once outcast to them all just a week ago, was now their only hope in standing against this enemy. Why that was, would be revealed in due time. For now he was the one giving out all the orders, and making sure every man and woman who was in this fight was as ready as they could be, physically, and mentally. Nothing was quite worse than fighting a necromancer, how they can kill your very friends and allies, and turn them against you as some undead fiend. Occasionally reaching down for the hilt of his sword at his sight, Gabrial checked the map of the city and the layout of all their troops. He was satisfied that they had the best positions set up for a hard ongoing battle, but what was really troubling him was not knowing what exactly their enemy had at their disposal. Every battle to date was only against things like skeletons, zombies, maybe the occasional undead animal, but this necromancer had taken a whole new route in creating their own undead. Who knew what was about to be thrown at them, and how much. "Capehorn!" Gabrial called out now making his way into another one of the rooms. Turning to face him was a very old and rugged looking man, whose beard was nearly as long as his wizard robes. "We've just got the mortars and cannons set up for artillery in the center here, but we need the templars magic users out on the field either with the snipers to offer more fire power, and the barricades to great defensive barriers. So please tell me all of them have arrived."The old man brushed a hand along his beard as Gabrial spoke, and gave a quaint nod in his response. "Yes... Yes.. All of our magic users are here and awaiting the orders you just gave. I'll go to them now and we'll set out.' Grabbing his staff off the table along with his bag, Capehorn hobbled along to give out the instructions to the rest. Tapping his fingers to his thigh plate, Gabrial started to walk through the building until stepping outside on a balcony to overlook what he could of the city. Their time was about up, the sun was rising above the horizon, and like her message said, she'd begin her assault at sunrise of the seventh day.

After years of being hunted relentlessly like some monster, she had finally achieved enough power to take on a full scale assault on her biggest foe; the Paladins. Maybe not every last one of them were there, but there was certainly a large enough chunk for them to no longer remain a threat after she was done with them. The sky would begin to darken as thick black clouds began to roll in above them. Thunder starting to below making the air quiver as surges of lightning flashed above. From all directions outside of the city, hundreds of portals began forming. It wasn't the beings that emerged from the portals first, but the sound of bellowing drums that echoed throughout the city streets until it reached the men and women standing guard.
What came next was massive forms of her golems, leading the march of the front lines from all portals were the flesh golemsThese beings consist of nothing but animated flesh and muscle all compacted and condensed into one single living mass. They stand at a hulking sixteen feet tall, and take on the form of a human with large forearms and calves, and a coned shaped head. Just behind them were the younger brothers to the flesh golems.. They stand at eight feet tall, but take on a more animalistic yet human like form. Bodies consisting of solid white bone, hunched over and scrawny.Their arms long and slender, fingers stretching out from the palms like five sharp blades. Their teeth fanged, feet clawed, and a tail stretching out from their spine by ten feet at their waist, with a sharp tip that extended six inches on its own. Behind them on the back lines were the stalkers, the zombie like shamblers, and the skeletons. Which are equipped with armor to help keep them together, along with various melee weapons such as swords, spears, or thanks to her spacely ventures, energy weapon. While others would be equipped with more affective weapons such as rifles or shotguns, just whatever she's scrapped up for them.
The main road leading into the city however, didn't have so many undead marching in strike, rather instead Domina herself, along with her own personal undead pets stepped out to begin a full on rush right down the center. As was her favorite high risk but high pay off tactic. Charging in just at her side was Ortagis, the Alpha stalker which was eight feet tall, nearly two times the size of other stalkers, and he was a lot more well built compared to them. Then there was her guardian skeleton, Al. Alphonse was a very tall and thick boned skeleton, standing at a hulking eight feet tall, and skeleton structure that's two times thicker than an average humans. His entire body is clad in thick leather clothing that has metal stitched into his clothing. He was riding right on Ortagis' back so he could keep up with Domina in the direct charge. For some reason despite just those three rushing in, and Domina certainly crazy enough to take on a whole side by herself, there was still a few other things moving around on the other end of the portals.

All of the men brought their attention to the darkening sky overhead, how unnatural and eerie it seemed as the thunder rumbled through the air and lightning began to flash, threatening to make its strikes on the ground. Just how powerful was this enemy they were about to face, if they could cast such a thing as this? That question was soon answered, as the portals formed in the near distance, and the war drums began to pound, making all their hearts pound in their chests with every beat! What they saw next was disheartening, hundreds, maybe even thousands of undead beginning to march forward from these portals to God knows where, and all of them coming right towards them. Those massive golems all leading the march, the numbers and sizes of those troops alone, had they really underestimated their enemy so severely? Were they all truly on the last battle for their lives? They had fought many great armies, but this one was starting to take the cake.
Despite all these fears, nervousness, hopelessness, and even faithlessness, every man and woman stood their ground. Spears, swords, rifles, bows, all weapons raised and shields at the ready for the oncoming horde; if this was their last moments, they'd make sure for every person their side lost, the enemy lost another twenty. Gabrial Nightshade had come to stand on the frontline where Domina herself was charging, with his shield and sword at hand, but at his sides. "Archers, Marksmen! Unleash hell!" His voice bellowed loud and clear, thanks to a bit of capehorns magic projecting it through so everyone could hear. What came next was the roaring of morters, cannons, rifles, and volleys of arrows all being released until the enemies side. Many of the bullets enchanted to not just go straight, but as they met the enemy, they zig and zagged, tearing through multiples until it either just broke up, or something happened to stop them. The arrows themselves just seemed to multiply in the air, one become twelve, and all of it stacking from other archers to create a wall of arrows. The cannons and morters, well they did what they did best, tearing through and sending them flying on impact. By now the magic users had created barriers all around the barricades to reinforce them, but irregardless, the men on the ground got ready for a vicious fight as the horde still neared

The bone golems of flesh would move to the front as the riflemen all began to open fire down on their ranks. Many of the bullets that hit them would end up being absorbed into their fleshy molds like a sponge, while plenty of the higher grade rounds punched right through and into the undead behind them. Hundreds of undead would fall to that fire alone, but the ones that weren't shot through the head kept moving, or crawling depending on the damage done. When the arrows started to near, the bone golems moved in front of many as they could, their strong and thick structure easily absorbing the arrows as they rained down, proving those means to be mostly futile! The morters and explosives raining down on the other hand, did in fact end up tearing many of them apart, but these weren't enemies that felt pain or were stopped from a lost limb. Those that didn't suffer enough trauma to the skull or could still move, pressed on, making an even more eerie sight as limbless undead shambled on. it wasn't long until they'd come slamming into the barriers and barricades, and only a matter of time until they'd break through
Domina on the other hand, didn't seem to have much of a defensive herself as everything came pouring down on her, but on the contrary. A sadistic smile spread along her purple painted lips as she continued her dead sprint towards the barricade, only to raise both her hands up to her side as they came alight with her black and purple flames. "Come on out and play, Goliath!" She shouted, clapping her hands together as her magic surged around her in a powerful summons of her own. It wasn't a portal forming this time, rather something very, large, rapidly appearing above her head as she neared her target. Just as the barrage of enemy fire was about to come raining down, the large creature, whatever it was, had formed just in time to start taking the whole barrage of morters and weapon fire as clouds of dust and smoke soon surrounded it and the ground below, creating a large veil of smoke to hide the battlefield where Domina once stood. The sound of something large moving, almost like a roar of air from its body pushing it was heard as a very large skeleton hand suddenly burst from the cloud, until the massive upper body of it emerged from the smoke cloud revealing the titan of a skeleton that the necromancer had just summoned, yet, she was no where to be seen. It was still only hunched over, but it would lurch forward with its massive frame slam its arms down onto the barricade and into the army waiting beyond, shattering the magic barrier with brute force and crushing everything beneath its frame. It leveled the builds, send the paladins and templars flying from the impact, but as soon as it had appeared to the do this, it started to fade away as Domina jumped out from one of the skulls eye sockets. She landed scythe blade first, burying it into the ground while unleashing a burst of energy that rushed forward further into the crowds, tearing down anyone who came into contact with it. Standing upright, she straightened herself out and looked around just as Ortagis and Al came darting in and rushing at the army. Domina on the other hand was scanning the areal she knew she had sensed Gabrial near, and there was no way he'd go and get crushed under Goliath on her.

The brunt of the horde was finally upon them, and they had hardly made a dent, and even worse yet, a lot of the enemies they had struck were still coming, even through they were missing limbs or cut in half; they just simply hadn't gotten the kill blow. The magic users barriers were quickly starting to break apart as all the undead were slamming against it, the ranged soldiers just couldn't take them down fast enough. Here we go.
The barriers shattered, the hordes quickly shattering down the makeshift barricades they made and the armies were finally meeting on the field now. The men in front kept their tower shields up, thrusting their spears impaling and cutting down many undead that were rushing at them. A few men were running along the roof tops, not armed with swords or axes, and rather instead, they had cestus' attached to both of their hands. "Bring them down!" A few men roared as they jumped down, slamming their fists into the various golems, the bone ones shattering where the men it, thanks to the blessed affects making them extremely weak to them all. The mean in the front lines now rose their shields as the the rest of the armed forces started their own charges, a full slam against the undead, cutting them down with great ease, yet they were still heavily outnumbered, and more than a few men were getting overwhelmed and killed, but that was where the terrors of fighting a necromancer came in, for every man they lost, the necromancer gained as they were turned undead.
Gabrial looked up at the large skeletal giant coming down above them, his eyes wide as he quickly darted to the side, running out of its collision course, and just got far enough away, but the shockwave of the impact was like an explosion propelling him into the air and slamming into a wall. In a bit of a daze, he started to stagger to his feet, seeing Domina jumping into the fray and already cutting many of them down like they were toys; this was a nightmare. All of the men soon converged in on her, all raising their weapons to try and strike her down, knowing that if they slew her this one all be over in an instant. Arrows, bullets, spears, swords, it was all coming down on the necromancer with no mercy in sight, and even Gabrial was now rushing at her with his sword raised, aiming to ram her through.

Here they were now, the final clash now begun, both sides now in a all out war, but it seemed like her forces were on top. Glancing around at all the armed men now charging at her, she gripped her scythe in both hands and gave a broad fanged grin. "I've become an indestructible, master of warrrr." She suddenly chimed in on song, spinning around on her feet. Swinging her scythe down, she sliced through dozens of the men coming at her, while starting to move her body a rhythmic motions dodging more swings and stabs at her, while she kicked or swiped her hand to shatter their weapons and knocking them back. "My motivation, an oath Ive sworn to defend. To win the honor of coming back home again" Slamming her foot to the ground, a wave of purple flames erupted from the ground, incinerating all who were in front of it, before she swiped her scythe around behind her to slash through even more. Then it hit her, a flurry of arrows raining down, at least a dozen digging into her before she raised a barrier to block the rest of them. "No explanation will matter after we begin. Unlock the dark destroyer thats buried within" As she sang she made slash for the air, unleashing a burst of energy at one of the rooftops, causing an explosion of magic that ended up killing a number of the archers and marksmen who were starting to shoot at her now. Bringing her scythe back down, she cut a few of the men in half before she was met with a wall of steel. Various weapons slicing through her flesh and running her through; yet she only stopped any that were about to strike her head. A blooded smile spreading along her lips as she rose her arms up and swung them down, shattering all their weapons and unleashing a shockwave that knocked them away. /"My true vocation and now my unfortunate friend. You will discover a war you're unable to win" She insisted on singing still, ripping the blades and splintered polearms from her body as she stumbled forward. Her flesh seeming to be falling off from her now, and small black and purple flames igniting along her, and that was when Gabrial broke through the crowd and even managed to thrust his sword through her chest, making her hunched forward and go limp as if she was finished. Which wasn't really a lie, but the paladin would soon fine a pair of bony hands grabbing his upper arms, as her flesh was quickly burning away as those flames spread; she was becoming a full fledged lich just for this. "Take a last look around while you're alive." She finished there before head butting him and pushing him away. His sword soon clinging to the ground as her flesh was completely burned away, loving nothing left now but her charred bones, and tattered clothes. Raising her right hand up as it pooled with her necrotic energy, she waved it to her side as many of the men were soon engulfed in a roaring inferno; no more games. "Now meet the monster you have created. None of you can stop me now! I'll make you all burn like you tried to do to me."

(Me and Nicholas did a bit of chatting and role playing privately to put this into one big scene to make it easier, so here's our final product.) Gabrial was dazed from that head butt and stumbled backwards, and fell to the ground with little grace; domina did hit hard. His eyes slowly moved to the roaring flames as they were all taken in a blink of an eye, what monster was he facing here? They'd never faced a necromancer of this caliber before. "God help me." Gabrial breathed as he quickly got to his feet and held his hand out, his sword shaking before flying back into his grasp. With his shield ready and sword steady, he rushed at her with not a hint of fear in his eye. His sword slashed down at her, but Domina swiped her scythe up to parry it to the side, her free hand engulfed in flames swinging in only to slam into his shield, the flames rushing around it but burning out against the true holy properties of it. Pushing Domina back with his shield he swung his sword up from the ground as it was alight with holy flames now. Only for Domina to elegantly spin around to the side, dodging it with ease before grabbing his hand. Her necrotic flames seemed to do nothing to his armor, but her grip tightened dramatically to crush it in around his forearm while her claws made small holes in it. Her flames quickly flooding into his armor, but that's when lightning shot down from the sky, breaking a hole through the dark clouds and striking Gabrial, propelling the lich away from him. Gabrial was virtually unharmed, in fact he now stood with bright golden wings of energy spread out behind him, his eyes crackling with lightning now. This was the reason the Vatican wanted him here, due to his unique nature of such divine interventions. Dropping his shield, he grabbed the armor piece around his forearm and pried it off, revealing that his arm was actually burned, but her power didn't leave any lasting affects. Switching his sword into his good hand, he gave a single flap of his wings as he flew right at her. Domina had already risen to her feet to see her biggest adversary rushing at her in his greatest form, both now as strong as they could be, and this was where she'd stand her ground, be it death or victory. Balling her free hand into a tight fist, she rose her scythe up just in time to parry his sword to the side again, while her fist came slamming into the front of his face, but rather than knocking him back, she had merely stopped him dead in his tracks and temporarily grounded him as he staggered backwards. His own free hand now started to cackle with energy. Raising his hand up as the energy extended like a rope, he moved his arm up and down as he used the energy like a whip that wrapped around her scythe arm, the holy energy seeming to burn against her already charred bones. With a cry of outrage, Domina tensed her arm up but rose her free hand up. Pooling large amount of necrotic energy into her palm, she unleashed a simple beam of it that slammed against his chest, the energy in such a raw form was capable of sapping his energy away, and quickly made that whip sizzle away, and then suddenly the energy pulsed, creating an explosion that blasted him back and crashing through several walls. She growled now, moving to latch Sanguis to her back; out of all the power she had, she wanted to break this enemy down with her own two hands, and maybe her magic. Running after him, she came jumping out of the last building and into one of the raging battlefields of her undead and the rest of this orders. Waving her hand to the side, she knocked dozens of the opposing forces away as she stormed towards the recovering gabrial. For all the power he had, he was still human, and rusty apparently. Within seconds she was back on him, grabbing his sword and casting it to the side. Resting one knee on his chest to pin him against the pile of rubble he was on, she let loose. Right fist, left fist, right fist, left fist, right, left, right left, she was hammering his face in relentlessly while growling like some feral beast in the process. The flames around her seeming to be raging darker and larger around her with every hit. Gabrial was simply unable to form a thought with how hard she was hitting him, nonetheless enough to blast her off. Then something suddenly hit Domina, his sword had slammed into the side of her head and knocked her off to the side, yet she seemed unharmed save for a chipped skull. Gabrial in a heavily dazed state started to sit up, and before she could remount her rage of fists, he rose a hand to unleash a blast of holy energy that blew her back; which seemed to be a pattern between the two now. Getting up from the pile of rubble, and wiping some of the blood from his face, he stumbled forward; partially angry with himself that he was taking such a beating. Seeing something about to pounce him, he took a swing at it and shattered the skull to one of her stalkers. His vision was just so blurred he was having troubles making anything out, but it wasn't to hard to find her, as what he saw as a big ball of purple flames was her, storming towards him and burning anything that got close. Clenching his hands into fists as he concentrated as best he could, bolts of lightning form in his hands as he lifted one up and threw it, the bolt cackling through the air and just barely missed her. Lifting his other hand up he threw it too, this one hitting striking her shoulder, making her body lurch back to the side, but she kept coming at him faster now. His vision clearing now, he threw another and managed to hit the same spot, breaking away at her defensive magic around her, and actually broke her entire arm from her body! He couldn't help but to grin a little at that; he managed to do some real damage. Not letting up, he formed and another and chucked it, yet this time she lifted her hand, and terrifyingly to him, she caught it, and seemed to crush it as the bolt disappeared into a shower of sparks. Reaching him now, as the flames that surrounded her seemed to do very little, she took a swing and hit him in the face, and came swinging in again, which he caught in his own before he punched her square in the jaw. Domina's knee rose up and slammed into his gut making him lurch forward, having knocked the wind out of him. Raising her arm up, she brought her elbow down onto his back, knocking him to the floor. Raising her foot up, she was stomped it down, but missed as he rolled away, and just ended up creating a small crater where her foot landed. Sweeping a foot against her legs, he swept her feet from beneath her before unleashing a blast of energy that propelled her clear into the air. Moving back to his feet, he used his wings to fly up after her, energy building up into one of his hands as he reached her just as she was about to fall back down, only to have his fist come slamming into her head, unleashing an unimaginable amount of power in that single blow; the lightning shooting off into the sky in a roar of thunder, which made the whole battlefield fall silent by all for a brief period. Her flames all but seemed to disappear as the half front of her skull was completely missing, yet something was wrong, all her undead were still standing, still animated, and now, still fighting. Then it all happened so fast. One moment she was completely devoid of life and about to fall to the ground below, and the next she had grabbed onto one of his wings and planted both her feet to his chest, and pushed. His wings, while seemingly made out of energy only, made a sickening pop when it was ripped from his back, a gush of blood following from it as the two both came crashing back down to the earth. They only landed a few feet from one another, but Gabrial was up first, his head sore and throbbing, and his back now aching; he hadn't taken nearly as bad as she had. Staggering close to her as she laid there, almost unconscious he could have assumed. He lifted his hand up as another bolt of lightning form in his hand; one more blow, and this could all be over. The sound of something unhooking followed by a blade slashing through the air was heard, before Sanguis came slicing through his own should and severing his arm; same one he had taken off of her. With a blood curling scream of pain, Gabrial fell to his knees in the shear agony, not to mention the blood from the wound was quite literally flowing from him and into her scythe. Domina, letting Sanguis fall to the floor as she snapped at it to stop drinking his blood. Had grabbed his arm before moving the socket of it to her shoulder; the flesh quickly burning off from it as the bones were charred black to match the rest of her, before it seemed to just attach to her, however a lich kept itself together anyways. With her knew arm, she grabbed his face and lifted him up off the ground, applying a great amount of pressure as her flames soon moved to engulf his body. "You've lost." She said coldly before squeezing with her hand, his skull caving in under the pressure as she simply crushed it in her hand; killing him instantly from it. His body now ignited by her flames upon death, absorbing every ounce of his essence into her, which seemed to make her cringe at first, before she relaxed. Kneeling down to pick Sanguis up in her hand, she turned to face towards the center of the Vatican; by now her undead horde simply had them all surrounded as they were overrunning the remaining Paladins and Templar's. It seemed she had demoralized them completely, as they were getting slaughtered a whole lot easier now. Resting Sanguis' blade on the ground as she leaned against it, she slumped forward, and slowly slide down the scythe till she was sitting on the ground, her single burning socket seemingly taking the whole scene in before her. The Vatican, her greatest enemy since her awakening, was crumbling, and had now fallen to her hands. Was this, the end? Had she finally won? It seemed so, surreal; in fact, she had always expected this battle to be the one that did her in, yet here she was. Gabrial's body beside her, and the city practically burning. Moving a hand up to move along the missing part of her face, she seemed to sigh; she needed to fix herself up more and take a nice long rest, and then... Then. 'What now?" she whispered to herself; this had been her life long goal to destroy those who sought to destroy her, and now they were no more. What was there now? rising back to her feet, she grabbed one of the passing by skeletons and told him to grab Gabrial sword and shield, before she herself opened up a portal and stepped through; going home and back to her two daughters; and of course the horde would return to the large portals on the outskirts of the city after they were done.
