Wylliam let the line go deep, very deep. If he had to guess, it was nearly to the bottom when he got a bite. The fish struggled as he reeled it back in, but it was no match for the Otfin in the end. With a great big smile he examined his first catch from the ice. It looked kind of like an eel, but not quite. He unhooked the Eelpout, putting it on the ice far from the hole and put his line down again wanting to catch more. It worked again and again for many more times, totaling fifty two of the long fish out on the ice next to him.

A few moments pass as the orange haired otfin waited for one of the fish to finally bite down on the other end of his line. Not much longer after that, a brave little fish did just that. It struggled like all fish do as he pulled the scaly creature up to the surface. It too was a long fish, kind of eel like, but different from the eelpouts. This was a Burbot. Wylliam put it on the ice to freeze, before dropping his line again to catch more. More was exactly what he got to. In total he pulled up ninety six of the elongated fish from the frozen lakes deep waters.

Wylliam felt something snag on the line, but not a fish. It kind of felt like a piece of trash. He sighed at the sadness of the thought of garbage in the lake. He pulled the blue rolled up paper off his line once it was reeled back in. This seemed a bit weird so he took a look what it was. "Huh? A blue print for..." He looked at the ice drill he was renting and then the blue print again. "Oh, cool. With this I can figure out how to make one for myself for next winter. Renting this stuff kind of stinks like rotten fish." Wylliam put the Ice drill blue print away and went back to fishing.
The blue print was just the start of his luck with this hole. Salmon practically jumped out of the hole at Wylliam. By the time the strange frenzy ended he had over one hundred of the Sockeyes on the ice freezing up to keep fresh.

Wylliam left the net to sit for just a short few minutes, before he gave it a mighty pull, up on to the ice. What was in side it brought a smile to his face. A hundred and eight of delicious looking Arctic Char struggled and flopped around in the fishing net gasping for water. He waited a moment longer for them to die before laying them out in the ice so they could start to freeze for freshness.

While Wylliam waited for the fish to get trapped in the net he looked out over the frozen lakes surface. It was empty, but had a wonderful feel to it. It was no Mira bay, but it was still nice to be at. With a smile still on his face, the otfin male pulled the net from the water again. It was another load of fish in the net, but there was something else as well. He laid the fish out on the ice and then examined the piece of paper that was also in the net. "There seems to be a lot of stuff other than fish, but still useful in this lake. Grilled fish sounds delicious. Wonder if it will taste anything like how mom makes it?"

Wylliam stuck the net in the ice cold water once again. In the winter tent he started to rub his arms and legs and pretty much ever where else on his body to create some heat. Sure he has fur covering his body, but it is not all that thick and he is used to way warmer weather then a frozen lake. He didn't know how much longer he could keep fishing like this. The otfin breathed hot air in to his hands.

With all the fish that Wylliam had caught so far he was sure that getting them back home was going to be a hassle for him. Fishing was just too much fun to stop though. After laying out the Bass he had just caught out on the ice to preserve them better, the otfin promised himself that this was the last one time at this time. He could carry to many more fish than this after all. He put the net back in the water.
