The Voice Acting Consent Form is a contract agreement established by the animator, Echo Penn, to inform voice actors the rules and conditions if and when guild members or outside associates ( such as voice actors, writers, artist, and other animators ) consents to working on projects by Echo Penn.
For those of you who are ACTIVE voice actors who agreed to participate in Echo Penn's animation projects, you are obligated to read the Voice Acting Consent Form to understand the conditions set up by the animator ( Echo Penn ) to any potential or active voice actors. Refusal to read the voice acting consent form could result in immediate unapproved of any audio file sent towards the voice acting Email account or dismissal of any audio files already Emailed to Echo Penn.
The first rule voice actors need to understand is . . .
: I AM THE BOSS :
I am the animator who will log in the hours drawing and getting the animation projects accomplished. I am the writer, director, editor of my animation projects within or outside the Anime Voice Acting Guild. I employ associates within or outside the guild, such as, writers, artist, voice actors, ect. who consent to take part in Echo Penn's project. The animator is the project leader. If a voice actor so choose to seek employment, voice actors are to understand the dynamic between BOSS and EMPLOYEE.
: WORK HOURS :
Animation requires a lot of time and patience and I wish to dedicate that time into animating MY stories. If you ( the voice actor ) do not like the script to an animation. The voice actor is not under any obligation to participate in " SAID " animation project. Echo Penn will not take request for animation projects no matter how big or small the idea concept maybe. Collaboration on animation projects is a different concept because there are multiple animators working TOGETHER on an agreed project. If you do NOT like the animations, FOR ANY REASONS, and do not wish to participate in Echo Penn's animation -
DO NOT SEND YOUR AUDIO FILE CONTAINING YOUR VOICE THROUGH THE EMAIL ACCOUNT ! ! !
: DECISIONS :
Voice Actors may have ideas for what they want, or how they wish to go about presenting their lines when voice acting a character. Depending on the animation project, I ( Echo Penn ) do not mind discussing lines written in the script.
BUT, voice actors need to understand the rules for when the animator and voice actor decides to discuss recording their lines a certain way.
1.) I decide which projects are acceptable for ad libbing and which projects are not acceptable.
2.) I will not alter scenes to fit YOUR ideals.
3.) I will not give you a character that a voice actor already has acquired.
4.) The voice actor needs to respect the animator and fellow voice actors if she/he did not get the character role they want to play, and continue to show good sportsmanship !
5.) Any threats made towards the animator, guild members, and voice actors to alter animation, character lines, character roles, or script content will result in IMMEDIATE BAN FROM THE GUILD, GETTING REPORTED TO GAIAN ADMINISTRATORS ! Rule 6 also applies to gaians who are not in the guild.
6.) ECHO PENN makes the final decisions on all animation projects ! ! !
: CONSENT : When a voice actor sends their audio files through the anime audition email account, YOU ( the voice actor ), are not only giving consent for the animator to use the audio files, but you are giving the animator ownership of all content the animator ( Echo Penn ), my use for any animation project. Echo Penn will not be subjugated by the voice actor, employees, outside associates, ect, to remove an animated video/ animation, that contains 'said ' voice actor's audio content. Voice Actors or potential voice actors who makes the decision to send Echo Penn audio content from written documents such as, scripts, chat forums, story board, ect composed by Echo Penn, consents to giving the animator FULL OWNERSHIP AND JURISDICTION, over all audio files sent to the Anime Voice Acting Guild Email account. If the voice actor dose not agree to give the animator ( Echo Penn ), full ownership and jurisdiction over all audio files, or audio content -
The voice actor is to TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEMSELVES AND DO NOT EMAIL VOICE ACTING AUDIO FILES TO THE ANIMATOR'S EMAIL ACCOUNT ! ! ! !
Choosing to voice act a character role and getting the part, is a form of consent to use audio voice recordings sent to the animator from the voice actor. If you ( the voice actor ) , do not want any animator to own or use your voice recordings, FOR ANY REASON, . . . . .
DO NOT AUDITION FOR A VOICE ACTING ROLE ! ! !
: UPLOADING ANIMATIONS :
The animator controls uploading animation videos.
When a voice actor sends audio content to the animator ( Echo Penn ), the voice actor DO NOT have authority to request or demand an animation they have voiced in to be removed from a website. Voice actors should be aware that the animator gives a time frame for what animation gets uploaded, how long an animation remains onto a site, and schedules the start and ending of all animation projects NOT THE VOICE ACTOR ! ! ! If a voice actor do not want their audio recording to be used in an animation -
DO NOT SEND AN EMAIL CONTAINING YOUR VOICE OVER WORK ! ! !
Any threats made towards the animator, voice actors, guild members, or the guild itself will result in immediate ban and reported to the Gaian Administrators ! ! !
Voice Actors are not to defame, or claim ownership of animation they have voiced recorded in, copy written or otherwise. Voice Actors are not authorize to upload animation they have voiced in - onto their YouTube video account, any social networking accounts, or website.
: COMPENSATION :
Guild members and outside associates who consents to Emailing their audio files to the guild's Email account, and continues to participate through the voice acting experience are to understand their position as a non- salary employee to the animator, Echo Penn. Echo Penn is not responsible for payment to voice actors, for any revenue the animation might generate.
( Guild members needs to have FULL comprehension of the nature of consent for animators to use audio, voice recordings from VOLUNTEER voice actors. Voice Actors need to comprehend the nature of ownership, compensation, copy write, and credit. )
Read a sticky called " Creditability " in the forum post. Voice Actors NEED to receive credit for the work they contribute to animation ! ! ! !
The guild Captain reserves the right to change the rules at anytime.

So, just to make sure I got this:
You're boss
You won't make accommodations in the animation (heh, that rhymes), just because we ask you to.
Don't be a d**k.
No uploading animations to Youtube.
We don't get paid.
Did I get all that?
If so, I'm fine with it.

I am still making updates to this contract and I still have two more forms to write, lol. The only reason I wrote this is because there are some VA's who PM me, about how to get into voice acting. What they can do to VA in my work and I need ALL - not just the newbies to understand the conditions that needs to met and understood before I start using people's audio files for my work. I take animation VERY seriously and I am trying to make it as an Indie animator. I know that's a long shot, but I still wanna try. And I know I can't do that alone so there needs to be a good working relationship between me and the voice actors.

I hope it's coming along nicely. Nothing is more annoying than when you're working on something, only to have it screw up towards the middle. Happens to me and my let's plays all the time. It's actually going pretty good. I wanna say that it's at least 47% complete, but when I finally get a whole day or two to work on it. Like the weekends, I can get a lot done. Plus, I am writing scripts for other animated shorts because I don't want people to wait to long like before to voice act in more of my projects, lol. Two more female voice actors wanted to voice act in my work and that's great. They say they were trying to get a mic ready that's why it took them so long to make themselves known, but other than that, they are on board. I might have a third female VA, she pm'ed me a lot like how to get into voice acting my work. I just told her to be a little active in the guild and check for updates so she can audition for stuff....never heard from her since then eek I have to stop animating sometime to draw because I have to re design graphs for my YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and deviart pages *sigh*, but I make sure they take a backseat to animating, lol. wait? You do let play's ? eek

As a mixed martial artist and a voice actor, I can safely say I would rather go through six hours of hard, physical training, getting punched and choked; than I would an hour of voice acting, because I'm not going to feel the physical training the day after. Yes, I do Let's Plays. I'm TheVGViking, on Youtube. I mostly do Pokemon videos, and I'm friends with MattRLive, if you know who he is.

I type all of my rules of the guild, animation, and composing in the form of a contract because I don't want there to be any misunderstanding on what I expect from guild members, and what guild members expect from me. Most importantly I want all guild members to know how serious I am about the work I am doing. That's a good call as this is a good starting point for people who want to do voice acting to learn how contracts with companies such as Viz Media & FUNimation Entertainment work, as contracts are used all over the place in the entertainment industry & going against said contract will cause serious problems.

Ruken Jones Echo Penn Ruken Jones Echo Penn The Voice Acting Consent Form is a contract agreement established by the animator, Echo Penn, to inform voice actors the rules and conditions if and when guild members or outside associates ( such as voice actors, writers, artist, and other animators ) consents to working on projects by Echo Penn. The first rule voice actors need to understand is . . . : I AM THE BOSS : I am the animator who will log in the hours drawing and getting the animation projects accomplished. : WORK HOURS :Animation requires a lot of time and patience and I wish to dedicate that time into animating MY stories. If you do NOT like the animations, FOR ANY REASONS, and do not wish to participate in Echo Penn's animation - DO NOT SEND YOUR AUDIO FILE CONTAINING YOUR VOICE THROUGH THE EMAIL ACCOUNT ! ! !: DECISIONS :Voice Actors may have ideas for what they want, or how they wish to go about presenting their lines when voice acting a character. DO NOT AUDITION FOR A VOICE ACTING ROLE ! ! ! : UPLOADING ANIMATIONS :The animator controls uploading animation videos. ! ! If a voice actor do not want their audio recording to be used in an animation - DO NOT SEND AN EMAIL CONTAINING YOUR VOICE OVER WORK ! ! !Any threats made towards the animator, voice actors, guild members, or the guild itself will result in immediate ban and reported to the Gaian Administrators ! ! ! Voice Actors are not to defame, or claim ownership of animation they have voiced recorded in, copy written or otherwise. Voice Actors are not authorize to upload animation they have voiced in - onto their YouTube video account, any social networking accounts, or website. : COMPENSATION :Guild members and outside associates who consents to Emailing their audio files to the guild's Email account, and continues to participate through the voice acting experience are to understand their position as a non- salary employee to the animator, Echo Penn. Echo Penn is not responsible for payment to voice actors, for any revenue the animation might generate. ( Guild members needs to have FULL comprehension of the nature of consent for animators to use audio, voice recordings from VOLUNTEER voice actors. Voice Actors need to comprehend the nature of ownership, compensation, copy write, and credit. ) Read a sticky called " Creditability " in the forum post. Voice Actors NEED to receive credit for the work they contribute to animation ! ! ! ! The guild Captain reserves the right to change the rules at anytime. I've just quick read this. Here's all I got down in my head: you're in charge, only send audio recording samples if you want to be in the animation, don't be an a**, you only get to voice a character in any animation if chosen only & not from asking or begging, this isn't going to involving payment, no uploading animations to Youtube, respect any and ALL copyright rules. Thanks & yeah, this is of course true for music artists, models, actors/actresses of non animated shows/movies, & VA's for anime that are getting dubs. If the person doing said work doesn't agree with the contract that the directors, producers, & company managers make when a new VA, music artist, actor/actress, or model is being hired then that causes serious legal problems on a monumental scale.

! ! ! The guild Captain reserves the right to change the rules at anytime. can't wait to get started!
