Kaldover was new here. Not that that was an unusual position for one of the locals--apparently, most of the folks around here were immigrants. Most of them, however, were probably not from where he was from, and in a way, he was grateful for that. Heh, did he say "in a way"? In pretty much every way he was grateful for that. He could have a lot more fun if people thought he was just a bit odd looking than if they actually knew what he was. Time to have a little fun. Make acquaintances. Wreak chaos. There was very little Kaldover liked more than a judicious amount of chaos.
Which was why he was crawling over the roof of a mansion, scraping on the roof tiles with his hooves and hissing softly down a convenient chimney. To be honest, he hadn't a clue what he was doing. Okay, he knew exactly what he was doing--he was messing around with someone. But at the moment, he was feeling a bit...uninspired as to what sort of mischief he should be causing. Hence why he was settling for a very generic form of mischief on the most prominent house in the area. Anyone who lived in a mansion could afford to be bothered on a regular basis. At least, that was the way he saw it. And if they didn't like that, well, tough, right?
It would be inaccurate to say that Kaldover wasn't paying attention to his surroundings. He always was. He just didn't care about anyone who might be around him. With ears forever cocked just so to hear whatever might be sneaking up behind him, he stuck his face down the chimney and whispered, "I know how you sleeeeeeeep~" Pretending to be a voyeur usually did the trick.

Trixie Boo was far too bored these days. She had recently ended her recent contract, and with it gained a new set of eyes, perfect for selling. That had been months ago, and she had yet to find anyone remotely interesting to make a contract with, or even speak to. Halloween had long passed, and with it the aura of fear in the air. October was her best business month, for fools felt the need to tamper with magic more often, mostly inspired by the crappy movies she saw playing on the big screen.
Now, it was just cold, and the cold offered carols and hot chocolate and movies of bonding with family. People didn't need her, and until Valentines she was pretty empty on tasks. Things were boring, and she just wanted something to do!
Fluttering above her kitchen sink, she sighed and rolled onto her back in the air, tail lashing. Boring boring boring! She could just flicker into the Underworld and play around, but they were far too boring as well. Too focused on causing chaos. While she was a tricksy demon, she wasn't one to just break everything she touched for giggles. Where was the fun in that?
"I know how you sleeeeeeeep~"
She flipped herself right onto her stomach midair at the voice, smile spreading. Oh? What was this? Perhaps a child playing around the "spooky mansion", defying their parents orders? With a quiet chuckle, she vanished, appearing outside and behind a rather odd looking male. Still floating, the girl, rolled onto her back once more, tapping the males shoulder with mild interest.
"Oh do you? What do you think of it? I know it's frowned upon to sleep in the basement, but it's awfully chilly down there and I quite enjoy it. And, all my jars are in there.

Awwwww, she wasn't scared! D'oh well. There was a big grin on Kaldover's face as he turned nonchalantly towards her. He lounged against the chimney, fluffy tail flopped over his legs and hoofed arms looped over the edge of the brick and mortar structure. Well, this was a strange fox and no mistake. She had a spiked tail like a sea serpent and bat wings. The bat wings themselves weren't uncommon, not in this area, but that tail was a bit odd. Experience with the supernatural told him he was dealing with no mere mortal. But Kaldover wouldn't be, well, one of himself if he didn't treat everyone with the same complete and total lack of reverence. So, this was the owner of the house? How had she gotten here so quickly? Oh, right, no mere mortal.
"I think that sleeping near your valuables is a good way to protect them. And it's very important to be comfortable while you sleep. Though I must say, it makes me wonder what the point of a big house like this is if you don't sleep in it, and keep all of your jars in the basement." Anyone who found that sleeping near jars was important obviously had something important in them. "I hope the locals are impressed. It would be quite a pity if they weren't--all this effort and no respect?" He shook his head and tutted. "But where are my manners? Lovely house, lovely garden. Fine place to be." He grinned, showing off sharp fangs. He had no interest in introducing himself to the stranger--let people be confused and curious about him for a little while longer. That was just the way Kaldover liked it. He liked to keep his hand secret and safe until it was time to play it all.

Trixie scrunched her nose slightly, letting loose a sweet and merry giggle as she flicked her tail around her back leg, flashing a wide smile. "Valuables? No no. I just like when the eyeballs move or the hearts go "thump". It helps me sleep at night!" Clicking the back of her mouth, Trixie dipped her head to the side and hummed. Did the locals respect her? The short answer was no. The locals still believed, to this day, that the old geezer had claimed a younger lover before passing. She was called the "Gold Digging Harlot" half the time, not like she cared. It didn't stop them from asking for a favor here and there.
"Isn't it lovely? I quite enjoy it. Much space to dally about." The house in India she favored more, buuuuut, she wasn't quite welcomed back there for some time. Not after her last adventure. Oops!
"I doubt you're here for a contract. You seem like a cocky one. Are you a thief? Oh, do try and steal something! I haven't had a thief in aaaaaages~" A short, amused giggle rolled from her lips as she rolled in the air, upside down and viewing the male curiously.
