You enter a nice, large area surrounded by all kinda of snacks and games. There was music- but it was but a mere buzz in the background. The mood was great and it was easy to relax in that atmosphere.
"Hi, I'm ShiningStar KiraKira, your guild captain! You can call me Naomi or Akira for short." She honestly didn't know why she put the part about 'Akira' in there. No one has ever called her that. People have called her 'Nao' before, though. The person on request, another for some unknown reason, and the third because she kept writing her name out that way. "Nevermind about the Akira thing." She sighed. "Welcome to the singles' dance! I really hope you enjoy yourselves! I would live to stick around, but I can't exactly participate in these events as I am no longer single." After a long pause, "Have fun!" Then she left without a single word.

After finding a spot against the wall I gazed around with a jittery mix of nervousness and excitement. Their were so many beautiful people all dressed up! I was content just to watch their graceful dancing a display I might compare to colorful flower blossoms swaying in a warm spring breeze.
But I noticed lots of other people playing games and chating at the refreshment table and I suddenly got a feeling this was going to be a wonderful night.

I walked in amazed at the beauty of the room. I smiled at the people I passed going around the room minding my own business, getting refreshments every now and again. but for the most part I sit and stand around the people watching excited nervous of all the night could hold in store for me.
