Hi I'm Gummy, I'm bi, that's not the point; What does it mean if someone pats you on the head.. from a boy... is it just for the hell of it??

Hmm well it could be a friendly gesture.
Maybe he doesn't know how to treat you physically- especially if he doesn't know you very well but feels like showing some sort of affection, a pat on the head is common.

I've been in your situation before. Sometimes it's just a brotherly gesture. They care for you, but like your a little sister kinda way. Other times, specially when they don't know you that well, it's like Punky said.

Well that's good I do know him I have known him since I was little it just confused me cause I don't hang around guys cause I get uncomfortable so when he did that I was like "what?!".

I've seen some socially awkward boys use it as a flirtatious expression... an excuse to touch you without being overt. It could though just be a friendly/brotherly gesture. You really have to look at what he says and how else he acts with you.
