I've had at least six PMs that started with "you're so adorable" and ended with "can I have a [several million gold] discount??" this week. u__u I think it's since animal items are so new, people know that you recently spent either a lot of cash or a lot of gold
as opposed to being decked out in GC human fashion, where you could have easily saved up for a long time or bought the items before inflation
so you might not be as rich as you seem
but yeah with GC animal avis it's obvious the wearer is rich enough to drop lots of money relatively quickly
looking cute probably has something to do with it too, since the animals look so nice as opposed to a rugged human avi
so it makes you more approachable
gosh there's like psychology in this lol
