So I'm watching my two chinchillas, Squish and Grump, skitter around my living room before I go to bed. I've gotta keep an eye on them, or they'll try and chew on everything. Here's Grump, who thinks anything put in front of him is a raisin, including a cell phone camera: And this is Squish-- I swear, not edited in any way... Come play with uuus.Anyone else? Post your pets, too! :3

Sorry if this is a downer post... but my 2nd Rat Lily passed away this evening. She was ill so we had to bring her in to stop the pain. It might be part of why I'm impulse buying a lot right now. She had a sister (likely not the same litter and they had different fur colors) named Isis who passed last fall.
My thoughts right now are strongly with Lily.
I do have a cat! His name is Snowball. He's been with me since 4th grade. I've been out of school 7 years now. He's getting older but is still a sweatheart for me, especially when I need emotional support from him.
Our German Shepard is named Rikue. We've had him since Middle School. He's more of my father's dog than anything but I was allowed to name him. This dog has a personality all of its own. I have never quite seen one with his. It doesn't mean he's smarter or dumber. He's just got a very distinct persona. I like that about him.

That's the only downside about pets, yeah? That you've gotta say goodbye eventually. sad Still, there's always memories you can keep! I remember when my mom's shelter Springer spaniel Lady got her unofficial name among my family. My dad and I were watching Star Trek: the Next Generation for the night, and they had a scene where the Klingon's Jesus figure Kahless had come back to life. All these elder Klingons stood up and said, "Hark, 'tis the almighty Kahless!!" ...just as our new dog walked into the room and started sniffing the TV. "Hark! 'Tis the almighty Kahless!" my dad said at that. And ever since then, she was Lady Kahless to us. :3

Isis took a lot of comfort in my teddy bear before she passed. She was sick for a good part of her life and a very docile girl who had to groom you a lot. Very sweet natured. I will always remember that about her. Lily was the opposite. She was tough, and though she seemed sensative to emotions and wanted attention, she was hardcore. She'd chase the cat right off the bed! One of my final memories with her is that last night the cat put his claws away (literally, they went in and his front paws folded under him in a calm position) and he let her climb on his back. Then she peed on his tail >_>

Wow, they're so cute emotion_kirakira I've never actually seen a chinchilla before because it's illegal to own one in my country D: I have a dog named Eevee (who I don't have any good photos of because she won't sit still) and a one-eyed cat named Coco Coco turns 15 this year so she's pretty old and lazy lol

Chinchillas are soooo cute. ♥ I wish we could have them here. We aren't allowed to have pets in our apartments, even little ones like hamsters or rats, so I got goldfish! :'3 I have two black moors, two fantails, and a ryukin. Sometime this next week I'm going to have three butterfly telescopes coming to me. ♥

I can't have pets because I'm super extremely very much allergic, but I still frequently take in my neighbors' cat (because his owners are 100% irresponsible and I can't resist this stupidly affectionate little ball of fur).

X3 Keep her away from mysterious rocks. I had a gerbil that was born with three legs, years and years ago! Little Squee. She was a sweetie. Had shiny black fur, and was so shy, always slow to creep up to anyone new.

Ah, nice! Yeah, fish can look cool, too! Especially betas, but goldfish come in so many different patterns. Ever had pop-eyed goldfish? The place my mom used to work at had a fish tank with three of them. They looked like they had airbags puffed out from their faces.

These are my two kitty cats :3 I'm totally a cat person in real life, but on Gaia, I seem to favor the wolf/dog base for some reason... I did have rats once, about 8 years ago (wow time flies) and I'd really like to have rats again some time. They are really a special pet. They are kind of a mix between dogs and cats in a way. They have got the independence of cats, and the willingness for learning of dogs. Anyway, yes. These two cats are names after a norwegian comic strip. :3

I plan on keeping bettas later, when I can start collecting the separate tanks for them. I was going to get an industrial But goldfish! They're social and need more than one, so I can keep several together. I've also always had a serious soft spot for fancies. ♥ They're just really beautiful to me. And I love the waterfall sound the filters make~ Do you mean telescope eyes or bubble eyes? I have two black moors, which are black telescope eyed fish. :') And two gold fantails and a calico ryukin. (Bubble eyes have those fluid filled sacs hanging from their eyes. They really creep me out to be honest and I'd be terrified to get one and it accidentally n** that sac and get an infection. (I'm also soon getting three butterfly tailed telescope goldies!)
I don't have any recent photos, but these are the 'newest' ones.

Eeehee, they look really cute! Yeah, that was the only downside to the tank of bubble-eyes my mom's work had. They kept... popping, every once in a while. D:
