I've never gone ice fishing because, well, I come from a tropical island, and most of my childhood was spent playing on concrete playgrounds in New York. Oh, and I'm living in a desert right now.
Is it fun?
Yea, when the whole family is out on the ice it's awesome.
Our ice hut is also really well built. It has beds, flat screen tv, stove, music system, plus heating. We sleep there often when we have full weekends off.
It's also nice to get drunk and have awesome discussions near the fire.
