Say you try a single chance item and, holy crap, you win an Angelic Halo. What would you do?

Some facts for perspective:
- a Halo's worth is estimated at 5 billion gold;
- the maximum gold a single account can hold is around 2.14 billion;
- a Golden Ticket was sold to someone for an Angelic Halo + a Devil Tail, so roughly 7 billion gold;
- the Custom SDPlus Dolls are discontinued;
- the inflation keeps getting worse, BUT there's a possibility that more Halos will be released in new RIGs.

So, what do you do with your Halo? Trade it for a new wardrobe? Ask for pure gold and keep it on side accounts? Wear and cherish it? Wait until you can use it as currency for a rare and expensive item?

all jokes aside, a halo is just a golden donut to me. it used to be a symbol for people who deserved a halo, but now it's a fashion symbol. it used to be so precious it meant something when someone had one. now it's a legitimate tradable with monetary value, if only just an item with the most value.

a few plans if i acquired one- sell it for pure gold and try to sink as much gold as i could. maybe stalk high ticket questing threads and grant 100 dreams in one day. maybe buy the love and adoration of the CB for 3 weeks, or until those hyenas bleed me dry. maybe even help newbies for the rest of my gaia life- you can sustain so many new accounts off of 7 billion gold.

the second is trade one for a golden ticket or an SD plus doll and make my user presence known. I don't draw the most elegant of clothes but "elegant" isn't exactly my style anyway. colorful & punky, like real life. maybe make an honest to god band T-shirt, and not timmy as morrissey. gonk gaia just doesn't appreciate their goth community like they used to. or maybe even find my favorite crosstitch ideas from other users and make them a reality.

to me, those options are better than just wearing the halo.

I remember one of my besties introducing me to Gaia in The Long Ago Times, back when tektek had just been created. I tried putting together a dream avatar, which was simple clothes with a Devil Tail and an Angelic Halo. My friend took one look at it and said, "Uh. Oh, hun. I'm so sorry, I've got something to tell you about that Halo..."

So I'd keep mine and wear it. It was the first item I ever wanted, haha.

(Give me enough time to get bored with it and I'd probably sell to start a charity, though.)

I'd sell it. For whatever I could get.
At one point, long, long ago, I had the chance to actually save up for one and wear it, but I didn't. Because I never liked the item. And I'm not swayed by rarities. But I do however like to have gold on the side for art and items I do like. So it would be an easy choice for me. C:

But I'd say, if you like it: rock it!

Halo's don't really impress me and infact they look alittle odd to me lol so id just sell it and keep the gold for art, items, and maybe donate some to charities

Im generally on the low side of gold due to not being able to buy GC (Which means I wouldn't have the chance to get the Halo anyway but this is theoretically speaking so) and theres many items that are far from my reach so I could definatly appriciate billions of gold lol

well before animal bases were a thing, I might have just decided to wear it - I like having extra colors to work with cat_rofl and as a pretty old gaian, it's like...it was so out of my reach for so many years that'd kind of feel empowering to finally have it and be like "SEE, I COULD GET ONE. NYEH" to myself.

but now? with animal bases around? I'd sell it and buy myself the animal items I want, and hold onto the rest and buy newer animal items as they come along. I might invest in some items so the gold doesn't decay too much while I wait for new items cat_4laugh
