Enjoying the feel of the sun beaming down upon them despite the lingering winter chill, Hannah tilted her head back and looked towards the sky with a content smile spread across her face. Such a good day!

Despite the silence that lingered between, there was still a significant amount of joy to be had to just walk along side a dear friend especially with spring so near. "Ahh, I can't wait for it to start getting warm outside." she said aloud in an attempt to break the silence; completely oblivious to the fact that she had been asked a question just a second ago.

"Oh hey, Delilah, look! A rainbow." she stopped abruptly pointing straight ahead. For indeed there was one, though faint in appearance off to the right just beyond the break in the treeline. "Do you see it?

Drawing in a deep breath of cool crisp air, Hannah let out a happy sigh, I love Spring she thought to herself.

Hannah turned her head slightly to look at Delilah. With her head tilted slightly to the right, her expression was rather unreadable, blank for all intensive purposes. "Topic? What topic?"

Thinking about the last few moments she couldn't recall weather or not she heard her raven haired friend speak since they met up. "I didn't hear you say anything I'm sorry. Did you ask me a question?" Unfortunately her mind had been preoccupied with frivolous things such as the weather and seasons she honestly missed whatever Delilah had supposedly said.

"Yeeesssss...." she replied hesantly, "I know someone by that name. Why do you ask?" the influxes in her voice gave way to a suspicious tone.

For a fraction of a second Hannah's eyes flicked to the side then back to Delilah again when her raven haired friend admitted that he had inquired about her during their chat. "Wait... Ho-how do you know him? And why was he asking about me? she inquired tentatively with drawn out questions. Eyebrows furrowed in concern she watched her friend with an unblinking gaze.

"I have no idea" she answered honestly. "We've only met twice." the last time being several months ago if memory served her right. Though he still came to mind from time to time, wondering if he was okay given the state he was in the last time they spoke, she had no reason to believe he wondered the same in return. There's no way he would know about what happened with Benitoite...

"What's a better question is why would he think to ask you... about me...?" her eyebrows furrowed you didn't ... did you... ? Delilah... what did you say? "tell me you didn't tell him."

"He has no reason to be asking if I'm okay unless you told him about..." It felt so taboo mentioning her Leukemia out loud which is why she often found herself stopping thought mid sentences when the topics breached this comfort zone. "Last time we met, yes... I admit... I had been shaken, then again given what happened" she paused for a moment to take a deep breath after realizing she was starting to get a bit worked up. "Anyway, what happened doesn't matter, when we parted ways I was fine." At least to everyone else she was, in actuality she was far from it at the time. "But I know I never never told him I knew YOU you... Phact yes, but not... she motioned with her hands at Delilah you... which is why I just don't see why he would ask about me unless you said something."

Hannah's lips pursed together realizing she had jumped to the wrong conclusion. Admonished by the fact she had wrongfully assumed Delilah would have brought up such a sensitive topic to anyone, Hannah felt a large pang of regret and guilt having gone down that path. Pausing in her tracks Hannah's gaze averted to a weed that had grown between the concrete slabs along the side walk, "I'm sorry." she said quietly "I just...I tried to be mindful about what I said around him. I don't think I left him with any reason to be concerned for me... or my well being is all. I'm sorry."

Raising her eyes to meet Delilahs she had to ask what she meant by her former statement "When did you see him last?" If it was shortly after the last she had seen Quenton then Delilah's comment about him not at full strength would make sense unless... she stopped her train of thought before it ran wild in her mind like it had just a moment ago.

"A week ago?" she repeated like an echo on the wind. Raising her gaze to meet Delilah's, her eyebrows furrowed in concern. "What happened?!" She asked with a bit more urgency in her voice. Please don't tell me he got attacked again like last time... All that blood and those wounds... two things that, even after all the time that has passed since that day, she would likely never forget.
